Been here a few times since my hairdresser is just down the street. Very tricky to find parking anywhere in old town. Especially if visiting any of the shops on 5th Avenue. The shop itself is small, quiet and clean. Usually I just get an iced tea unsweetened upon the attendants recommendation. This way I get to try a variety of flavors I wouldn't try on my own. Never disappointed ordering this way! I've had the chance to also have high tea here multiple times. The last time we were able to be seated in a private area of their establishment. I was nice to have that available to us- not sure if that will always be available. On to the menu- the finger sandwiches here were AMAZING!! The Italian herb chicken salad on the cutest baby croissants was my absolute favorite of the five choices we had available to us- including two meat free. The croissants had a nice sweet touch on top which paired perfectly with the savory chicken salad. The pastry selection was also amazing- mini walnut chocolate chip sea salt cookies, scones, macaroons, and the cutest little tea bag sugar cookies. From the tea list we also went with the attendants recommendation and had them choose three for us. Again, forced us to try flavors we wouldn't normally. They also have quick grab and go gift sets. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and went with a large iced Scottsdale Sunset, which was perfect for a hot sunny day. So refreshing and light! I used my yelp check-in offer and purchased the Prickly Pear Black Tea, 50g (smallest increment to purchase). I also liked this one very much. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was yummy, Ibloved that they offered larger sandwiches than most and more options. I also loved that we got 3 pots of tea to share. We had Scottish Breakfist, Sedona Sunset and Creme Brulee. It was a quiet and nice setting though it could have felt more homey with more comfortable chairs but that's only if I'm being really picky. Tea time is a great hidden spot in old town for a refreshing beverage. Believe me, this will be your cup of tea. They have a large variety of hot and iced teas. The tea makers totally know their teas! Taylor is very personable and took the time to explain all of the teas to me. I ordered the purple Palmer and it was delicious. It had equal hints of lemon, strawberry and some other herbs that all balanced out really well. No flavor was too strong. I highly recommend this if you want some good tea. Such a cute little vegan tea shop! The barista was friendly and welcoming, and helped me select the tea flavor for the iced latte. I ended up getting a lady gray iced latte since I'm obsessed with lavender. She also helped me pick out loose leaf tea. I purchased coconut macaroon tea to take home. Second time at Tea Time and disappointed. They have changed storefronts and the new one is not as nicely done and has no restroom. The food and tea were delicious, yet, the service was very inattentive. Our server was disengaged, and, with only two people working both the tea room and the retail shop, they were very understaffed. Tea was not set up at the time of our reservation and we were halfway through the food before the first pot of tea arrived. The meal was over and I had to go in to the shop to inquire as to whether the 3d pot was going to be served. We will be trying another option for our next tea party. read more

It was a hot day in Scottsdale. SHOCKER, Right? I wandered into Tea Time and inquired as to what type of ice tea they had. The lady behind the counter told me ALL of the tea they sell can be brewed to order. I asked about a green tea, and she handed me a sheet listing all of the green teas (4 different ones, if I recall correctly). I told her I'd let her pick, because I wasn't familiar with the ones on the paper. She steered me to a Japanese green tea, and i ordered a Medium beverage. She brewed it for me, iced it and showed me where the sugar and straws were. I wish I wrote down her selection, because it was refreshing, perfect for a hot Scottsdale day! It bummed me out that they seems like just know how to scoop the tea out of box then sell. found out there is some stamps card on counter even they didn't offer me to use in the future. I went there because I want to support local store as much as I can. instead of ordering online with my fingers. Here is my conclusion. If you are new about tea world, want to find out which tea you could try, then you better need to find out on your own. just don't expect to they can help you. In my experience, It was not. This review is for the high tea service. First, I will say I really enjoy a full English tea. We couldn't get into our favorite service at the Phoenician as they were booked so a friend found this place. They don't make the sandwiches and desserts but have them brought in. We arrived and we're seated outside. The first part of the service was great - the tables looked lovely and our name was printed on menu. We ordered our three teas for a party of 7 - I needed decaf and the decaf tea (which was a blush sherbet was exceptional! )It was the first one brought out. The other teas never arrived. After 30 minutes we asked what was wrong and she said we had to finish the first pot. After explaining that was crazy as not everyone can have caffeine - nor likes the same tea. She went back and got the other two kinds - after that we had no service. The tiny scone was average but dry - no Devonshire cream and no lemon curd . The cucumber sandwiches were excellent. The rest of the sandwiches were "meh" . The desserts were a small dry chocolate chip cookie , sugar cookie and a macaron. Suggestion would be to try a new vendor for your food and teach the staff what a high tea looks like. Of you are looking for a traditional high tea - I'd suggest somewhere else. I love this little tea shop! There's a great variety of tea and tea-related gadgets, and they're always stocking new flavors/types of tea. All of the staff is really nice and helpful. Marion manages the shop and she has a LOT of knowledge about tea (and food). It's instantly apparent especially if you have high tea there. Wish I could give -5 stars. Our party made a reservation ten minutes before closing five days before we wanted to go in for tea. We called the next day at 10 am (right when they opened) and were informed that it is a non-refundable reservation. We pointed out that their no-refund policy is not stated anywhere on their website or in the confirmation email they sent, and it was not disclosed to us when we initially booked. Unfortunately, I cannot comment on food as it was never served. Weird arrangement, we were put in a room with no staff, and no other patrons, I guess out of sight out of mind for the serving staff. We got a pot of tea, and had to keep running to another building where the server was, but to no avail, food was out of the question. It always strikes me as an oddity that for a city as big as Phoenix, we really don't have that many tea shops. It's almost like being a nudist wanting to participate in Halloween don't you think? Aside from my usual jaunts to the bay area or my ever so loving friends shipping me the good stuff, Tea Time and Teavana are the two shops I have found here because I don't count the Chinese herbologist as one. Sometimes you forget this shop is here nestled in Old Town. Perhaps it is tucked away simply because only those who have appreciation for tea would venture the side streets to find it. I love the little card catalog system because I am a geek. It's orderly, beautiful, neat and evokes curiosity to open drawers. They have really lovely pieces for purchase, colorful and whimsical and entice you to be your own mixologist brewing the best cup of tea cuttings. The staff is always uber excited to share their knowledge but not pushy if you just want to sit and let the aromas flirt with your senses. With that said, it isn't your typical tea shop where it's cozy and invites you to linger. Seating is limited and the space small but it is bright and airy that you can't help feel like you are standing in the midst of sunshine. Amazing tea and even better customer service! I called asking about a certain tea, and unfortunately they didn't carry it. They took my information down and said they would look into it and give me a call back. A couple weeks later Marion called me and said that they could order this special tea from their vendor and asked how much I would like. I was so surprised that they would go out of their way and order the tea that I called and inquired about. A week later, Marion called me stating the tea has arrived and asked the quantity I wanted and stated she would put it aside for me. A few days later I walked inside and picked up the tea. It was a bit of a challenge for this out of Towner to find this place but I am glad I did. I brought home about 4 different teas for my husband to brew for us before bed. Each one has been fantastic. The girl who helped me was a true delight and I apologize for forgetting her name. She was very patient and helpful. They also have a free check in offer for a tea and I chose an iced Tea that was wonderful on this semi hot afternoon. You get this with purchase and believe me there is enough of a selection as well as tea pots and mugs to look around. I came here with my 2 friends at around 3pm. We had reservations from 3-5. A little after 4 one ladies who work there said that they were going to close up so that they had to start cleaning. I asked when they closed and she said 5. Oh ok I thought. We were interrupted several times after that to see what we finished. One of the ladies even asked me if I finished an empty plate. Boy they must've wanted to go home bad!!! We were told yo leave even before 5- like 5 minutes before 5pm. Ladies and gents who own this place-- please don't make your tea place a second priority! Did I like the food? Not worth the $50 that they charge. The sandwich was dry but fresh at all. The croissants sandwiches were ok and the desserts were ok too. The teas were delightful!!! A lot of choices and they were all smooth and delicious!!! Did we leave a tip? Nope! Will we go back? We held a traditional English tea bridal shower at Tea Time this weekend. It was absolutely prefect! You should know that I do not live in AZ and organized this shower from out of State. After talking to Marion, the owner I knew this was the spot. She was so easy to work with. She offered great guidance and easily accommodated our desires. She truly over delivered. The food was delicious (spinach salad, finger sandwiches, fruit kabobs, etc). The desserts amazing (pumpkin macaroon with chai filling & scones were my favs). The tea was devine (champagne white tea with raspberry, pomegranate green tea, & the seasonal pumpkin black tea). Everyone had a wonderful time. The bride was over the moon!
