I have used 3 different companies in town for hardwood installation, full refinishing and recoats. Teak and hardwood has been the best by far. Pricewise they are middle of the road, but the quality has always been excellent. I have caught other companies cutting corners (skipping 3rd coats, or not properly prepping surfaces before coating. Some jobs have been booked within a week, others we have had to book out a couple months due to Jeff and his team being busy (a good sign). Hopefully if you are in need of there services, you can schedule a time that works out for you. Definitely worth the wait if they are backed up. read more

They did a beautiful job in replacing a damaged section of oak floor, matching it much better than expected to the decades-old adjacent floor. However, I have found many small imperfections in their refinishing work since then. Even worse, they never returned to assess my complaints. They do beautiful work. Its the customer service that they provide that stops them from being great. It took me having to make 4 calls, over a week to get them to go over to a clients home to give a quote. After that, it took them about a month to finally provide me with a bill after bugging the client. I recently hired these folks to refinish the battered and scuffed wood floors throughout my recently purchased home. I met with their estimator Jeff seven days ago, and this evening I stood in my living room, stunned into silence by how beautifully the floors turned out. They were able to sand out the scratches and stains from the previous owner's large dogs, and apply exactly the finish that I had hoped for. I don't think I can provide enough praise for Jeff and his team at Teak and Harwood Floors!!! By far the most professional, courteous, and pleasant company I have ever worked with. From day one I was impressed with Jeff's attention to detail when he came to our place for an estimate. Within 24 hrs he had a fully laid out estimate with photos that had been modified to highlight his specific concerns and he gave a very detailed cost breakdown providing us with numerous options. Him doing all this work on an estimate told me that he was the right person for the job!! Since we live out of town and this is a rental our biggest concern with anybody doing work there was that it would get done properly and on time. Well Jeff is an amazing communicator (whether via phone or email) and was very quick to provide us with almost daily updates in the form of voicemails or emails (with lots of photos). If he encountered an issue that was of major concern he would always call first to get our input, instead of plowing though the job. Because of his attention to detail and amazing workmanship we had no problem going with his suggestions. In record time Jeff and his team were able to take a very worn-out, tired looking floor and transform it into something unbelievable!!!!! These floors looked so new and brilliant I thought I had walked into a different house at first. WOW!! And the "pies de resistance" was the overall cost. The final bill was not mind boggling. It was so reasonably priced. Other estimates that we had received didn't even come close to what Jeff was able to provide. We are planning on getting more rental properties and I guarantee you that Jeff and his team will be the only ones working on our floors in the future.
