Very happy with how this project turned out! It was a slow start. I had called Jaymes and left a…read moremessage telling him about the project. It took him a month to return my call but that didn't bother me because anything construction related is so much in demand right now, I was just happy to get a call back. Plus it worked out timing wise because when he returned my call, I was ready for the countertop portion of my project. Jaymes was quick to come over and take measurements and he recommend a few places for me to look at slabs. The next day, I had a slab picked out and he sent me the estimate. Once I paid the deposit, he had the countertops installed within 2.5 weeks. The turnaround time amazes me because I was expecting it to take at least a mont, again because of all the construction needs right now. I was not completely happy with the installation crew. They told me they were going to have to make a seams down the middle of the counter and backsplashes, which surprised me because Jaymes had told me the seams would only be in the corners. But after speaking to Jaymes about not being satisfied with multiple visible seams, he was able to accommodate my requests and put the seams in the corners. Also, the installation crew dented a cabinet while they were installing. The handles that were installed later covered the dent up so, no harm. Overall, I am very happy with the quick turnaround and the quality of the work. Jaymes did a great job lining up the grain patterns on the slabs so the backsplash matched the direction of the countertop. I would definitely use Stone Creation again and Jaymes was very easy to work with.

He provided me a quote based on pictures I sent and provided 2 possible quotes - one to fix the drawer using the existing wood and another if they had to rebuild the drawer altogether. I brought the broken drawer in and within a few days the drawer was fixed. They ended up rebuilding the cabinet drawer, which I'm glad they did. They used quality wood which makes the drawer more durable and the rails on the side fit perfectly back into place when put back in the cabinet opening. They have excellent service, and the quality of the work they did for the price was excellent (they came in the lowest quote from 3 businesses I reached out to on Yelp). He admitted he had not sent it out and would get it out within a couple days. I never received it and he did not respond to my last message on vm. I feel like I dodged a bullet. Imagine if you needed to call for an installation issue or repair. He might just avoid you. I even told him when I got him on the phone from my work line that if he couldn't do the job it was okay, just let me know so I can move on. I just think that is a sign of what you might get for a follow up. So my suggestion for improvement is don't be afraid to say that you are not right for that particular job. It happens and then there would not be a reason to review. Disappointed because I like to support local businesses. If there was a zero star I would give that for the lack of respect to customer.

The team at 5 Star Hardwood flooring have been exceptional to work with. We had a large project to replace existing floors in 6 rooms and throughout the halls of our home with wide white oak 3/4" planks. It was difficult in that old wood floors had to be removed from around 2 stone hearths and another stone opening. This required precision cutting and placement which the installers did perfectly. Our cement slab floors were prepped with a moisture barrier which was not done with the previous floor installation. This was at David's suggestion. In addition all our baseboards were carefully removed and reinstalled with no damage. Other than a small knick or two on the drywalls, the job was completed immaculately. Fit and finish on the entire project was amazing. Five Star Flooring is a professional, highly knowledgeable, precise, and timely, no nonsense, no excuses, business with a crew that we highly recommend to anyone looking for the Best in the floor installation business! Working with David from the onset and with his crew during the installation was a pleasure. They repeatedly asked if we had any questions, if there was anything more they could do, if we were satisfied, etc. Communication with David and his crew was excellent. David and his team installed laminate in my living room/dining room/ hallway & ceramic tile in my entryway/kitchen/powder room and did a killer job! Also had them install new baseboard which updated my home to modern times! This included pickup from Floor & Decor of the product used and demo to remove the existing floor coverings and well as haul away. I am a picky person and looked very closely for any mistakes and have to say that they did a perfect job! They were always on time and ready to go, worked quickly and professionally and cleaned up after themselves when they left. There were no "hidden charges" and they went way beyond in the work outlined in the contract. David helped me choose between hardwood and laminate and I decided to go with laminate but you can't tell the difference! I cannot for the life of me understand why they would ever get less than a 5 star review unless there were problems on the other end of the transaction. I will be using Five Star Hardwood Flooring in the very near future to continue their magic upstairs in the hallway/2 master suites/2 bathrooms to complete the transformation of my home. David and his team "earned" every one of these five stars. Our retirement home in Nevada had to have the perfect floor. We interviewed three companies who were willing to drive almost 80 miles (one way) to the house. Over the next month, we conversed with two of those companies and finally decided to go with Five Star. He "listened" to us, was "very" patient with us and drove that long distance two more times to bring us samples instead of emails with pictures. It took us a while to decide on the wood and ended up purchasing the wood ourselves. When the wood was delivered, David sent a crew to move the wood from where the delivery truck left it, into the house so it would acclimate. Installation took 9 days to do the "entire" house, including 3 bedrooms, closets, dining room, living room, kitchen, and den. The crews were skilled and just as patient as David. I was there every day, asking questions and just being nosey. The creeks and rattles we had when it was carpet are gone. The end result is the floor of our dreams. It brought tears to my wife's eyes. I took a video of the entire house and she still chokes up every time she watches it. Thank you David and your team. You helped our dream come true. read more

We recently got our floors done by Five Star Hardwood Flooring and we highly recommend them! We picked LVP flooring for our entire first floor (minus the guest bedroom), and we LOVE it. We wanted flooring that was kid friendly, waterproof, etc. David and his team did such an amazing job. They went above and beyond our expectations, and were very professional. From the very beginning, David was there to help us through the process. It took forever to decide which floors we wanted, and he was so patient with us. He responded to all of our questions in a timely manner. Pricing was fair! We had scheduled the installation a month after giving the deposit. Installation only took 2 days and they were efficient. They moved all of our furniture for us, and cleaned up their mess. Since our home is still fairly new, we didn't want any new baseboards installed, so they had to remove it, and then re-install them. I have followed Five Star Flooring on Facebook for some time and I have seen their pictures of quality work, so I knew exactly who I was going to call when I purchased my new home. David came out quickly to give us an estimate and his team was here and had the flooring demolition and installation completed in two days. Then they even came back on Thursday morning (Thanksgiving) for a couple of hours to complete the finishing touches. I had a dining room table in the backyard and they moved it inside for us without us asking. The other thing I love about Five Star is they keep everything clean sweeping up frequently, and they mopped the floors when they were finished. I've worked with Five star for a few years now, when I used to work with my dad flipping houses. We used Five star about 5 times to install our hardwood floors. In some cases he saved us thousands. We used to buy houses that were foreclosed and according to most floor companies we needed to rip everything out and start over. Not with Five star he replaced parts that needed to be replaced and matched the wood great! He is a surgeon when it comes to woodwork! After about 2 months with the new floors, my dishwasher leaked and water got between the laminate flooring and the sub floor which ruined the flooring in the kitchen. Even though it wasn't their fault that the dishwasher leaked, David and his crew helped me replace the ruined section of floor for no charge! I couldn't have asked for more. Excellent installation of large laminate floor area. Workers were very professional and we couldn't have asked for better workers. Beside the excellent job doing the floor, they cleaned up all the trash and cleaned the floor both days. It only took them 1 1/2 days to complete. They picked up the laminate that we had purchased at Sam's club, all 36 cases. They tore out the old carpet, cleaned floor prior to installation and hauled away the carpet and trash. We recently had new hardwood floors installed by 5 star hardwoods. They are beautiful and David and his men were so great to work with. They came in, moved furniture, took out carpet and old wood and hauled it away. I would highly recommend them, and if we ever need any more work we will certainly call them. We also needed to have our formal living room floor raised 6 inches. They did that also. Another company we called had to refer us to another individual to do that. received a quote for our downstairs floor makeover but Five Star was a grand more and frankly less personable in the process. After going with the other co i got a quote from Five Star on the second floor makeover and went with Five Star. Had a few office issues before install but I am so glad we went Five Star. Crew was exceptional!!! They took care to minimize dust and trash every step of the way. Moved furniture with care and respect and most of all did and excellent job laying down flooring. David and his crew were referred to me by my daughter. I live in Seattle (but my property is in Reno) so we mostly communicated by text & photos. They installed the flooring for her entire home at a very reasonable price. So I hired David to demo tile and carpet (which he completed in one day). He installed the flooring 2 months later after our contractor had completed other remodeling work. The crew is always on time. They work late to get the work done. I am pleased to write this review for David, Neil and all his crew that did a wonderful job installing our engineered wood floors. He was prompt to come over and give me an estimate and get our project on the schedule asap. They installed 800 sq. ft. in a day and a half with all the trim and baseboard completed. I had a little trouble with 2 of the floor registers not fitting properly after the floor was in place but I called David and he had a man over there in a day to fix it. David and his team did an amazing job. This was a rush job for me (moving into a new house and did not expect to HAVE to replace the carpet) and I got lucky with their availability. I chose to replace the carpet with laminate and their pricing was fair and the work they did is absolutely beautiful. I came home to a brand new master bedroom and bath and did not have to clean up after them. The flooring and baseboards were installed to perfection and the area they worked in was spotless. In response to Frankful flooring reply: you informed me you could credit $200 for shipping and my cost was over $2,000.00. I was just trying to simplify it for purposes of the review. I hope you learn accuracy is important and I hope other potential customers look elsewhere.

They even made sure that I knew how to care for my new floors. They gave me great ideas on how to clear out the house and where to temporarily store things. They moved my furniture for me and then put it all back. As to the floorings, I am so pleased with the colors. I enjoy my house so much more now. It looks exactly the way I had pictured it. With the new paint, it looks like a model home. I could not be happier. My dad used this company as well and had all the same guys. We have all been impressed and very happy with their work. These are expensive investments so you want the best. You will not be disappointed.

I do not recommend Royal floors. Not only once but twice…read morethey did vinyl flooring in my kitchen. First time they had triangle cut into floor, under cabinet thinking it wouldn't be seen. The cuts were far from acceptable the seam were so sloppy put together they ended up rolling and coming up. They came out said they'd redo floor at no cost. With different vinyl than we paid for. That if you put a chair on it it would indent the vinyl very cheap and very uncomfortable to walk on. They had another installer come in (Sid) he wasn't familiar with seams continued calling office. He laid the floor not only one seam but two within 21/2 feet of each other. Same thing started pulling up and rolling. Continued to text sid he would say if he has time he'll come fix it. While Steve knew that there was a problem as he asked Randy, Randy told him he was waiting for Sid to come back. Steve if Sid knows about he'll come fix it. No Sid and no check up call from Steve Nor Troy ( The Higher ups) I speak with Joel which he done more than Steve, Troy or Sid. Have all messages if need verification. We tell Joel we're going to go through someone else as Sid never showed up no call from Royal floors, Let them know we'd have someone else come in on January11th. We recieve a message January 12th if you havent gotten your floor redone Steve & I would like to come in and fix the flooring. How convenient day after we told them were having someone else come in. Again I have messages. Day late $1700 later. Then we get if you had someone come in a redo the flooring what can Steve do about it. How about a refund or labor cost refunded..... Also if you haven't heard from Sid call back. Hello you all know the how about your company reach out. This went on for over a month before we had someone else come in. Not once did they do a horrible flooring job but twice. Think twice before hiring Royal floors in Fernley, Nevada. Like I said I have photos of both jobs and all messages if need verification. Very disappointed in this company & their customer service
