We had the privilege to have Eric and Mike as a package for our wedding reception. They both made our lives easier and made that special night run smoothly. They are both very organize and had everything planned out for us; the 3 zoom meetings were so helpful as well. They had great input and gave us great ideas, suggestions and things we can use/do for our reception night. Eric always checked up on us, see how things were going. Although we did not have a wedding/reception planner, Eric was the guy running the show that night. Mike (DJ Kurious) played our music we wanted and read the room very well. Having our guest dancing and engaging with each other. I highly recommend having Eric as your emcee and Dj Kurious as your DJ. We thank you both so much.

We had the honor of working with Richard (emcee) and mike (dj kurious) for our wedding. They were absolutely amazing, the night couldn't have been more perfect! They kept the music flowing and the conversation going and the crowd couldn't stop talking about how great and hilarious the emcee was! We couldn't have made a better choice! They even helped us with our timeline and music and made the process seem so easy and gave us great ideas for our garter toss (which was a hit) we couldn't be more thankful!

Richard is so awesome. The planning process was simple and he answered all our questions even all the way up to the day-of the wedding itself! He was so fun to work with and my family thought the program was well organized! The games he had prepared were so fun and I enjoyed watching everyone enjoy themselves during the program! Definitely recommend him to any future brides out there!

Both Richard and Eric exceeded our expectations! Im soooo glad we met them! As stressful as it is trying to find someone who'd entertain 300 guests, they made it happen. I wanted people to leave laughing and enjoyed our night, and every single one of them did. I highly recommended them to those who asked who they were. And the best part, they emcee other occasions too which I'd most likely contact them for any big events that will happen in the future for us. TBTGHI has a team that we also had: PartyPix Photobooth, Dj Kurious, and a wedding planner, Janice Bachiller, whom was the one that actually suggested us Richard since we got to her first. Their team made it so much easier on us cause I could depend on every single one of them!!! Strongly strongly strongly recommend to any couple who's looking for vendors for their upcoming big day, cause TBTGHI will not disappoint! Stop looking, and hire them already!!!

-- Team Bride Team Groom Hawaii -- Richard and Eric with Team Bride Team Groom Hawaii did an outstanding job emceeing our wedding. They bring a lot of positive energy and take the time to get to know their customer during the planning phases. Our guests enjoyed the entertainment. There was a lot of laughter and the feeling of joy shared amongst the audience. Richard and Eric are true professionals, we would recommend them and their team to host your wedding. I would 100% recommend Team Bride Team Groom as vendors for anyones upcoming wedding!! We had our wedding on 8/2/19 at the Halekulani and had Richard emcee, Eric for the photobooth, and DJ Kurious and they were all AMAZING!! :) At first, I was looking around for photobooth vendors and came across Eric at Party Pix Hawaii. After more research, I noticed that there were package deals which included many services (emcee, DJ, etc.) and decided to go with them because of the convenience of having multiple vendors through 1 company. I really enjoyed working with all 3 of them! I chose not to have a wedding coordinator and Richard made the process so much easier to handle!!! He planned the entire reception and made sure everyone was entertained! We had so many compliments about how he was so funny, the games we played were a lot of fun, and all of our guests really enjoyed our wedding :) Eric was my main contact and he was very quick to respond via email and phone, had many options on backgrounds for the photobooth, and was able to incorporate our wedding invitations into the layout for the photobooth print-outs. We also got a lot of compliments on the quality of the photos and everyone had a great time taking photos with the props :) DJ Kurious was also really great to work with! During the wedding, he made sure everyone was having a good time on the dance floor and took all of our music requests. Overall, I really appreciated working with all 3 of these guys! They made not only the wedding so much fun, but they also helped so much with the entire planning process. They are really great at what they do and I am so happy to have found them!!!! :)

TEAM BRIDE TEAM GROOM HI FTW! If you're looking for a ONE-STOP shop for wedding services needed, this is the company to go to. After research of multiple vendors we decided to go with TBTGHI literally weeks after getting proposed. Just at perfect timing there was a wedding expo at the Blaisdell around the time we got engaged and had browsed through the numerous wedding vendors at the time. It didn't take us long enough to decide that we wanted to go with this team to help plan our wedding. We had booked them a year in advance to get the wedding expo special deals that helped saved us more than $600+ on our whole package. Under this company, we were able to also book Michael from DJKurious and Eric from Party Pix Hawaii. If it's one thing I learned from planning a wedding especially in a year span, booking multiple partner vendors makes the ease of planning that much more easier. We only had to deal with Richard, the owner for any payments and booking of consultations. Our first pre-consultation we had was with Eric from TBTGHI and Michael from DJKurious. They provided us with a background of what their company does and what they have to offer us. What makes them different from other emcees is that they are involved with the program planning and give personal touches to help ensure we have a reception worth remembering. They also had a draft of what a wedding reception timeline would look like and how they would execute how our night would be like. Being that I'm a very detailed and organized person, seeing this helped me visualize how our wedding night may look like. After meeting with them we contacted Richard immediately and had them booked for our wedding a year later. We then had our first consultation a few months later and spent a couple hours filling in the blanks of what we wanted included in the ceremony. The emcee program was pretty much straight forward so we knew exactly how our timeline of the reception part would be and would update them on anything else we would want to add. We already knew that our night was going to be filled with entertainment just looking at the time aspect of the program. It was seriously one less thing to worry about. They're responsive in any questions and accommodations you may have. During our wedding planning, we had an unexpected blessing several months before our wedding and wanted to incorporate a gender reveal in the program. They were able to accommodate and also include that in their program. Coincidentally our wedding colors were Light Pink and Tiffany Blue so it worked out well in our favor for color schemes to make this gender reveal happen. I love that TBTGHI had card props for our guests to use as a way of audience participation. I think that's the best way to have a reception when there's audience interaction so it keeps them in their seats wanting to get involved with the program. Not only are they available through emails, they also provide at least 3 in person consultations to help plan your wedding. We originally thought we were going to get Richard and Eric to emcee our event but we found out at our final consultation that their newest emcee Debbie was going to take Richard's place which worked out way better in our case because what better way to have a program than a female emcee to represent Team Bride and a male emcee to represent Team Groom. I know she was just starting off into the emceeing gig but she did so well! Looking forward to seeing her grow more into this industry. It'll also work out because we were already thinking of hiring Richard from his balloon company to emcee our baby's 1st birthday along with the DJ & photo booth. So of course with the success of this wedding, I know it'll be a pleasure to work with them again in the near future. Michael from DJ Kurious was awesome to work with as well. We wanted to do something special during our father-daughter & mother-son dance and he was able to help us make this happen which made it some of the highlights of our wedding to remember. I did a voice over for my dad and my husband did a surprise dance mix with his mom. It worked out so well that it displayed both our personalities. It went from an emotional moment to a joyful ending. Also, our digital monogram had me at awe. We provided a carriage monogram that my friend created and he totally upgraded it with spinning wheels and fireworks in the background. It was beyond my expectations and I was so thrill to see it shining so huge on the wall as we did our first dance. It totally set the mood for our fairytale wedding theme. We also left the music list to him as we trusted his music expertise and he delivered with confidence. I can't thank these guys enough for helping to make our reception program run smoothly. They're all great to work with and took care of every detail of the necessary program planning. All we had to do was show up and have a good time. To all you newlyweds, TBTGHI is highly recommended!

Based on the other reviews, you can obviously see that TBTG are awesome and so great to work with but let me tell you why you should hire them for your wedding! My family, friends and I have coordinated many events and parties in the past but I have never planned a wedding before. TBTG truly helped bring our vision to life; guest interactions, emotional moments, humor, and non-stop entertainment. These guys are professionals at their craft, they will advise and assist in things that a wedding reception entails that you would not normally think of. I.E. The garter toss. Usually when you see grooms flinging garters over their shoulders, it does not travel far and most times won't make it to the awaiting bachelors. TBTG suggested wrapping the garter on an item to help it travel further and also entices the gentleman to want to grab it! We opted for a foam, toy sized football that my husband and I signed along with our wedding date. What a sight! I have never seen bachelors for a garter toss look so excited and enthused! Suggestions like this is what makes TBTG your best choice for planning your wedding reception. They coached us on many aspects of the evening like how to properly cut the cake for picture taking purposes and ease of serving. Every detail of the program was well thought out and again, assisting with the things you don't usually think of. TBTG will definitely not only help you create a memorable evening but professionally guide you through the planning process and throughout the night so you can sit back and enjoy your day that was a year's worth of planning. DJ Kurious. Another master of his art. We conveyed to him the kind of ambiance we wanted for most of our guests who are, like us, late 20s to early 30s. Success! DJ Kurious transported us all back to 2005! During dinner, the music got our guests in the mood we wanted and ready for a fun fulfilled evening! Because of that, the transition into the program was perfect because TBTG took our guests on an emotional roller-coaster. Knowing how most weddings end, guests leaving as soon as the first dance song comes on (usually the Electric Slide), we did not have much expectations for the dancing portion of the night and confirmed a small dance floor with the venue. I have never seen the dance floor at a wedding reception so packed and at the end of the night, guests were not ready to leave! We wanted an evening that everyone would not forget, we wanted people to be laughing and crying all night long. They say people don't remember what you say but people remember how you made them feel. It's been three weeks since our wedding and our friends and family are STILL talking about our wedding and how it was the BEST wedding they have ever been to. Wedding of the year and decade! The feedback from our guests are the true testament to what TBTG helped create for this event. Weddings are not cheap so we wanted this evening to be AWESOME. YOGMO (You Only Get Married Once)! During the night, TBTG are ready to adapt to changes or unexpected things, things the bride and groom should not have to worry about on their wedding day. After all our planning meetings, phone calls, texts, and emails, we knew we could put our full trust in TBTG to control and conduct the evening. My husband and I are so thankful and grateful for TBTG, not only as a wedding program vendor who came and did their job. They went above and beyond and I cannot emphasize enough how truly professional and knowledgeable they are about the wedding industry and work. I just want to add one more personal testimony that made all the difference. With all the planning and stress during the final weeks leading up to the wedding, I forgot to practice for the surprise hula I was planning to perform for my husband. Right before our grand entrance at the reception, I told Eric (one of the emcees) to scratch my hula because I knew I could not remember the 2nd verse. He counseled me on the side and suggested that I do at least one verse for my husband, "any chance to make a memory, just do it!" I'm so glad I did. My husband has never seen me dance hula before, didn't even know I knew how, he cried, etc etc. and I will forever be thankful to Eric for that moment of mentor-ship. If you want a great wedding, do yourself a favor and book TBTG so you can write a review like this for them!

TBTGH was our Dj/Emcees for our wedding and we could not have been any happier with our choice! The first time that we met them they were already so easy to talk to, and very helpful and flexible with us. A lot of people from our wedding said that they were so impressed at how organized our wedding flowed, and how interactive our whole program, to dancing was;& this is all because TBTG basically organizes our whole reception. It was was fun having them as our emcee, and DJ.. I would definitely recommend them, and book them for another event.

The photos we received for our wedding turned out wonderfully -- our families were so happy with them, and we were grateful to have those memories captured. But sadly, we're now past 8 months since our wedding, and we still haven't received our highlight or full video, despite following up several times. We also asked for a few specific/missing photos (a large group reception shot and a portrait of the bride with her immediate family) that still haven't been delivered. What's been most disappointing is the lack of transparency and communication. We've been incredibly patient, giving space for the creative process and trying not to rush the team. But after so many months and repeated follow-ups, we're left feeling anxious and in the dark. We've just repeatedly been told "next week" for months and now we've reached a point that we've been entirely ghosted. We trusted Isle Media to preserve the emotional essence of a once-in-a-lifetime day -- and now we're afraid we may never get to relive it the way we had hoped. For a service of this cost and significance, this level of delay and silence is deeply disheartening. If/when our remaining photos and videos are delivered at the high-quality standard you would expect from Isle Media, I'll gladly update this review -- but as it stands, I wouldn't want another couple to go through this and therefore can't recommend their services to anyone looking for an event photographer/ videographer.

The photographer and videographer made us feel so comfortable! The flowers were fresh and made beautifully. The hula dancer was gorgeous and the musician was wonderful. My hair and make up artist understood the assignment and they both made me look flawless! Our photographer Carson took over 200 photos and made us feel so special! The video beautifully captured our ceremony, guests, emotions, and little moments that made our wedding special. Watching it made me emotional in a good way because it felt like our story was being told. What makes the photography even more frustrating is that we didn't pay extra to choose our videographer, yet the video was one of the best parts of our experience. Meanwhile, we paid $700 to choose our photographer, and the photography was one of the most disappointing parts. Our day-of coordinator was also kind, supportive, encouraging, and helpful with managing our time and photo/video ideas. Overall, I'm grateful for our beautiful video and our wonderful coordinator. We interviewed with 3 different planners, and ABC ended up being ultimately the perfect fit for us. We loved all the work we saw on the website/social media, and knew that we needed a comprehensive package of some sort since we were busy healthcare professionals working in NYC. We had our initial consultation call with Mackenzie, who was so great, eased our minds, and laid out everything we needed to know to help us make our decision. We made a decision before the end of the week, as we felt the involvement of ABC and their ability to both help design and contact vendors on our behalf with us being so busy would be helpful (and it really was!). We chose the elite planning package - we basically had bi-weekly video calls where we went over specific talking points and their orderliness and helpful input really helped us round out our tough decisions. Whenever we needed something more urgently, we were even able to text Mackenzie and Sammy and they were always so willing to assist. Sammy eventually came on to become one of our lead coordinators and we could not rave about her more! Even when we ran into some challenges in the months leading up to the wedding (unexpected vendor changes, inclement weather, etc) Sammy was always 10 steps ahead and really ensured that we had the best outcome possible even before we knew what was happening. We were being photographed outside by the water on the NORTH SHORE with a storm approaching (IYKYK) and Sammy was by our side with a platter of pupu's and cocktails ready to be blown away! We chose their full-service package as this package included sourcing vendors for us, but hiring them turned out to be the biggest mistake of our wedding. 1. Subpar vendor sourcing The vendor recommendations were completely misaligned with our vibe and significantly overpriced. They provided only a single option per category with zero room for comparison. We ended up having to research, vet, and book almost all the other vendors ourselves to get the vibe we wanted at a much more affordable price point. 2. Day-of logistics & communication failure Despite asking for our bus driver's contact details in advance, the team did not coordinate with him. Our driver had to repeatedly call us directly on our wedding day while we were trying to get ready and enjoy the moment. When we brought this up to the team, the excuse given was simply, "Oh yeah, we have never worked with him before." As professional planners, coordinating with new vendors is the bare minimum expectation. 3. Rude and unprofessional attitude on the day A wedding planner should keep the atmosphere calm and positive. Instead, Tessa created unnecessary stress and hostility: a. Disrespectful to Our Officiant: Our officiant, a close friend who walked us through marriage preparation and flew all the way to Hawaii, politely asked Tessa a logistical question and was bluntly told, "Now is not the time to be asking these questions." Right before our march-in, she was openly talking rudely about him in front of our entire bridal party, killing the excitement and making everyone feel uncomfortable. b. Aggressive tone with groomsmen: During the groomsmen photoshoot, she snapped at one of the groomsmen for chewing gum, aggressively telling him: "Is that gum? You either spit it out or you swallow it." 4. Zero Accountability We hesitated to write a public review and reached out privately via email first to share our experience. Their response did not include a single apology or acknowledgment of their shortcomings. Every single external vendor we sourced and hired on our own was fantastic, but Fred and Kate Events consistently added tension, failed on coordination, and treated our closest friends and family with disrespect. Would totally look elsewhere for wedding coordination.

It's part seafood market, part, part plate lunch spot, and they have SO many things besides poke. There are musubi, bentos, fried chicken, fish patties, shrimp, sushi, noodles, and all kinds of other local goodies. The line can look intimidating, but it moves pretty quickly. The poke is obviously one of the big reasons people come here, and there are a ton of varieties to choose from. The spicy ahi and crunchy garlic ahi are especially popular, and the mochiko chicken gets a lot of love too. We did like the mochiko chicken a lot! This is definitely a grab it and go kind of place rather than somewhere to sit and eat. I can see why locals make this a regular stop because you could come here several times and still have plenty of things to try. My favorite turned out to be the poi mochi!

As I was eating their spicy marlin poke...I thought it was a bone in my mouth. NOPE! It was a fricken plastic piece from like a price tag!!! I was so shocked! Luckily I didn't give this bite to my toddler! I've reached out to them on their Instagram to just inform them and be mindful of their people making their food but they haven't even bothered to look at my message.

Rehearsal and day of wedding I had Kat helping me. She was a breath of fresh air, intuitive and kept people on a schedule. She helped me feel calm and that everything was in order. Day of the wedding we also had Kim helping and she brought a great energy and made sure I had a drink in my hand at all times. Also the male servers were very kind and proactive. (I wish I knew their names.) I appreciate how nice and accommodating the staff was to my dog Chili. He loved being apart of our special day I'm very happy he was able to be there. The food was insane, the drinks were tasty, and the atmosphere was incredible. It smelled so amazing and we had great weather. There's not a bad spot on the property to take photographs. I can't wait to see my photos I took behind the pond in the greenery. I'm very glad I picked this venue for my wedding. The staff did us a solid and boxed up some food for my husband and I and we ate it right after we left. That was really cool of them. We had an issue with an unprofessional vendor after our wedding and they were able to help us resolve the problem and understood our concerns. Mahalo again Haiku Gardens we appreciate you!

The catered food on the wedding day was better than the food we had at the restaurant when we tried out the place before the wedding. Multiple guests praised how delicious the food was, and I tried them myself on the day of, and I can confirm they are delicious. Morgan and team on the day of orchestrated the timeline very well. The ceremony venue was gorgeous in April. It mattered because every photo taken looked beautiful.

She is open and honest and is willing to help you work within your budget and with whatever parts of the wedding planning process you want help. Dianna is very knowledgeable and experienced, and we immediately felt comfortable after we met her. She is very accommodating and even willing to go above and beyond what is required of a wedding planner. Hawaii Weddings and Event truly caters to the kind of event you're having and your exact needs. All the vendors that Dianna used for our wedding were exceptional. Our wedding day was perfect. The venue that Dianna had suggested for our intimate private ceremony was exceptional. The day went on without one hiccup. We couldn't have had a more relaxing stress-free wedding. Thank you, Dianna for making our wedding day perfect! I honestly cannot recommend a more phenomenal wedding planner/coordinator!

I'm not sure if it's just me but I think there should be a minimum three day response time. If that's not doable, I may accept one week but definitely not two. And there's more... Finally got a response so I go over the package and call them back with questions for all these "extra charges." Getting married outside of Honolulu? There's a charge for that. Having the ceremony and reception at different locations? There's a charge for that. Having it at the same place? There's a charge for that too. More than 75 guests? You guessed it!!! There's a charge for that too! Paying with a credit card so you can earn miles? Yes, there's a charge for that. 3.5% processing fee to be exact! But with all those extra charges, I was still going to book them because of their reputation. I mean look at their reviews! So, I told them to send me the contract and it never came. Two weeks later, I get a email apologizing for the delay and asking me where my venue was again. Are you serious? I need an organized coordinator that I can trust! I sent them an email saying I will no longer need their services. Guess how many emails I got after that? Like five in a row with more apologies and excuses of how busy they were and how they're working on hiring and training someone to make the contracts. Whatever, I don't care. You can't handle the volume of your business, that's your problem. I need someone that can handle. I'm so happy I didn't go with them. I now have a coordinator that responds to all my emails and there are no extra fees. One that I trust and that is something so vital for one of the most important days of your life!
