We went to the Aiea location. Booking was easy and the worker I spoke with was accommodating and flexible. They were able to fit our youngest and oldest guests, 1yo and 13yo respectively, into the mix without compromising price and service. And when my child showed changes in who her favorite characters were, I called and making modifications was easy! It was so nice just being able show up and enjoy the party. I didn't have to plan or order or set up or break down. LOVELY. I did bring our own goodie bags to pass out in addition to the goodie bags that were included only because we did a non-food event and so I wanted to be extra and send our guests off with a tea party to-go. The event went wonderfully. So much so that I wanted to cry happy tears at how much my kiddo (and all the kiddos) we're enjoying themselves. We did add-on a visit from Rapunzel, which was our kiddo's favorite part. She relished in all the attention Rapunzel gave her. The makeover was so good! Better than overpriced face painting at Disneyland. You actually get what you're paying for. The kids were over the moon at getting fancied up and playing with the characters. The littles are still very much believers in the magic so being able to play with a fairy and learn that a mermaid used magic to have her legs for the party was nothing short of magical. If you're child is heavy into the magic, Storybook does not disappoint. The window into a toddler/young child's world is so short. This service is worth the cost.

It's really an immersive experience for little ones. My daughter chose to dress up as a princess, which made everything even more special. She got her face painted first, then had glitter added to her hair and arms, and finished with sparkly nails. It honestly felt like a mini spa day just for her The staff member was incredibly patient and gentle, which made a huge difference, especially with a toddler. After the makeover, we were able to stay and enjoy the play area, take lots of pictures, and my daughter had the sweetest time having a little tea party in her princess outfit. First off, Cheryl is amazing and so easy to work with; she cares and is so understanding. Having her over for this party has literally been 6 years in the making (she was originally set to be there for my daughter's 1st birthday party-- but COVID). Fast forward to last year, and once again we had to reschedule (due to getting COVID). Still, she let us reschedule and we were SO incredibly happy to finally have them today. They were friendly, professional, sweet to the kids at the party and they completely set up and took down their set up without needing anything from me. Now, the cotton candy was no JOKE! They offered a variety of flavors and the favorite of the party seemed to be green river. The kids (and adults) were stoked with it. Side note, I was half expecting the little pieces of cotton candy to fly similar to the at home cotton candy machine I have at home but everything was pretty contained! Also, don't get me started on the popcorn!!! They offered different sizes (small and large) and had different toppings and seasonings! People could customize their popcorn with seasoning like garlic, elote, Parmesan, cheddar cheese, and MORE! Cheryl and her sweet team are definitely the best in the business and I will definitely book them again in the future (now--to find a reason to have them over again sometime soon hehe).

We had no complaints through the process as it was very straightforward. The chandeliers and drapes were just right and we could not have asked for more for our outdoor wedding reception. We had a 60' by 40' clear tent from Turtle Bay Resort so Event Essentials suggested five chandeliers. They were perfect and gave the romantic look my wife was looking for.

The girls were more predictable with a mermaid and a unicorn with matching face paint and sparkly pink nails. They loved running around with stick horses, playing tea party, and exploring the mermaid seashell perch. And so, I decided on throwing my baby's party at Bishop Museum's great lawn. With that said, I needed to find a tent company that could supply tables, chairs, and lighting for that amount of guests. Hawaii Tents & Events happened to be the best option especially for the price paid. Other tent companies I researched would have charged easily over $5,000 (without tax) and one company even quoted me close to $10,000. With Hawaii Tents & Events, I did pay a little under $5,000. But as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. The tents, tables and chairs weren't in the best condition but they weren't bad looking either. I did knock off a star because my communication with Tracey (Director of Sales & Marketing), though not the worst, was also not the greatest. Over the phone, she seemed really nice. It was just, at times, it was hard to get a hold of her. I didn't get responses as quick as I would have liked, especially when it came down to figuring out the layout of everything. A lot of my other vendors were dependent on the final layout and some decisions throughout my party planning had to be held off longer than I would have wanted. The mediocre communication, however, would not keep me from booking with them in the future. Their prices really cannot be beat!

All of our guests including us did not step off that dance floor unless it was to take a shot. lol Literally everyone was glued to that dance floor and we all had the time of our lives. As a wedding photographer myself, what I didn't realize is how much the LED dance floor would enhance the photos and video in the end. When we did table photos with all of our guests (we had all the guests come to us on the dance floor for pics before they headed off to the buffet)... instead of having basic ass table photos, we literally looked like we were on the Grid in Tron and it made the most AMAZING table photos I've ever seen!! Adam (the owner and the one controlling the lighting on the dance floor) was absolutely amazing! He programmed the floor and made it perfect for each scene or thing we were doing for the program. This was our greatest decision and SO happy Opulent events offers this kind of dance floor. The ONLY ONE on the island who does this. I HIGHLY recommend every couple to get this dance floor.
