We decided to sell our house and buy a new one. We originally used one agent who had multiple excuses for why he was unavailable on a particular weekend or why he had been unable to set up any of the showings we had found. When he did actually end up showing us a house, he got lost every time in getting us there and did not have any information to provide with us other than what we found on Zillow. During the same time, we relied on that agent's "expertise" in setting the price for our house to sell. After six months of our house on the market with hardly any showings, we decided to change and try Team Forss. With Team Forss, we automatically got one agent (Matt Tibbetts) dedicated to selling our house and one agent (Brian Mason) exclusively for showing us houses/buying a house. We are experienced in home buying and selling as we have bought and sold 5 homes in the last 30 years. After our retirement, we started looking to relocate from the Manhattan Beach area and buy down in the Temecula area. We wanted a view lot home with a pool, gourmet kitchen and three car garage, so we started looking online at homes. That is how we ended up linking up with Jarred and Jennifer Brink at Team Forss. We weren't ready to buy immediately as we still needed to sell our beach home, so Jarred and Jennifer put us on their automatic email list and as properties came up in our search criteria, we were notified (this is a great feature by the way). Jarred and Jennifer stayed in (low pressure) contact with us by email until we were ready to start house hunting. After we got under contract with the house we were selling, we called Jennifer and set up a date to go house hunting and sent her a list of properties that we thought looked good on Zillow. She said she would add more that fit our criteria and when we came out, Jarred spent the day with us looking at 12 homes. We really appreciated the way Jarred knew the features of each home we looked at and just as important the HOA's and special fee areas that can add a lot of dollars to your bottom line. If you are coming out here, be careful, the HOA's and tax rates vary greatly and if your realtor doesn't know these things, you may be in for a surprise! To make this long story shorter, Jarred and Jennifer helped us find 4 homes that perfectly fit our criteria, that we liked pretty much equally. Our top choice was in a high special assessment (read tax) area, but it had several offers on it and with the fee and the fact that we were contingent buyers, we didn't like our chances of being the offer of choice; so we went with our 1.1 choice (so close to #1 without the high HOA and special assessment fee). We made an offer the next day and were accepted. Jarred and Jennifer helped us with handling a lot of details long distance (95 mile drive one way), to help us complete the home buying process without making a trip out.
