Steve Adam's the general sales manager and Marisa Yglesias Sales agent are completely dishonest baiting buys in under false descriptions and representation of their vehicles. Many messages were transpired regarding the condition of the vehicle both stated the vehicle was in excellent condition with no visible damage. Upon arrival after a three hour trip, the truck had significant structural damage to the front from a previous accident that was not repaired correctly along with multiple dents and spray paint used to cover up major defects on the body. The sales tactics used are extremely unprofessional and have no place in the used car industry. There is zero honesty from the staff I would highly suggest avoiding this dealership. read more

I understand vehicles can be tricky to repair these days. I made an appointment for a check engine light. The problem could not be duplicated based on the code received and it was suggested a tune up may solve the issue. The tune up was completed and the vehicle was driven home. The next morning the vehicle would not start. The vehicle was towed back to Team Hodges. I was informed the starter needed to be replaced. The starter was replaced and the vehicle was driven home. The next morning the vehicle would not start. The vehicle was towed back to Team Hodges and I was informed the starter was defective out of the box. A new starter was installed. The vehicle was driven home. The next morning the vehicle would not start. The vehicle was towed back to Team Hodges. I was informed that the drivers side cam shaft needed to be replaced. I was told the part was on back order and they called around, could not find one and had no idea when the part would be available. I found the needed part after calling two local dealers. I purchased the replacement part and took it to the dealer. The cam shaft was replaced. I was told the vehicle started the next morning and had no indicator lights alerting. I drove the vehicle home, twice the next day, and the following morning the vehicle would not start. While the above is frustrating and I do offer some grace as I mentioned vehicles can be tricky to repair these days. The true gut punch was the complete lack of empathy or concern for the situation. No grace was afforded for the second tow charges incurred due to the defective starter, no consideration for rental fee's incurred, and absolutely no regard for my finding the back ordered part, losing work time to do so, as well as the expense to travel for the part. For those that have had good luck with this business, I hope it continues. For those considering this business my review may give you pause. It's a jungle out there! read more

He went over and beyond to ensure they were taken care of from understanding the paperwork, their extend warranty, to even helping to clean out their trade in truck. Furthermore he take the extra time a full month later to speak with me, the granddaughter and promptly provided me with a signed document my grandparents did not have in their possession. I've bought and leased numerous vehicles in my 30 years of driving and my experience with Hodges was by far the worst. Key points Bought a lemon from them Lost money on it trading it in. After asking them to fix a leaky tire on the vehicle I traded the lemon for I was stuck with a flat tire two days later. They then address the issue by putting one new tire on the front with the 3 old. Asked to speak to the owner and was ignored multiple times. We had a hard time with the service department, and we are nervous to get our vehicle back. It was given back to us worse than when it was brought to them originally. Now we are to pay between $900-$1000 to have it fixed, when it was not even running that terribly when brought to them for the original appointment. The choice of staff is questionable due to lack of communication. The communication only improved after they had already lost our trust and kept us in the dark. Our family is praying the vehicle is fixed properly this time. We just purchased our vehicle, and the warranty covered the original fix. Now we are responsible for paying for whatever happened while it was in their service shop during that original appointment. Quite unsettling. We will be picking up our vehicle this evening and are praying we can have a good working vehicle. It has been in the shop more than we have been able to use it. Who wants to buy a nice 2017 vehicle for someone else to break things and charge you money to get fixed? Nobody. I give it 2 stars rather than my original 1-star review. The communication improved after the original review. But after they gave it back worse than originally and charging us for whatever happened while it was in there to be fixed, to yet again fix it, I do not have much faith here. After we pick up our vehicle again this evening, we are praying on a good running vehicle that we do not have to yet again send back. Will never be back here again. My transmission was slipping so I brought my car back to Team Hodges where I purchased it because I have a warranty on my transmission. They told me that they could not find anything wrong with it after having my vehicle for 3 days and 4 techs driving it. The very next day after paying my $125 diagnostic fee (had to pay bc "nothing was wrong") I was going down the highway and all of the sudden I was unable to accelerate past 60mph with loud whining noises. Decided to take a video of this since "nothing was wrong" 18 hours prior LOL. You're better off taking your vehicles to Don Nester in Houghton Lake (which I did immediately), it's a little further but you won't have to deal with people who don't care about their customers and who will diagnose the problem correctly. Not to mention rip you off $125. Don't sell people warranties if you don't want to do warranty work, it's that simple! I would upload the video but Yelp doesn't have that capability read more

chop shop. purchased a 2019 ram 1500 from hodges off the used lot had it for about year and half and decided to trade it in. come to find out when dealership I was trading into ran vin the truck came back as a total loss. after some research I found pictures of truck totaled out at auction lot along with what it was purchased for. I contacted hodges and talked personally to Jeff hodges after a week I finally received a response that they could not do anything about it. one would think they ran the vin when they took vehicle in and before putting it on lot but I was informed they knew nothing about it. Do your research if you buy here and better yet go somewhere else otherwise you may be stuck with a vehicle you can do nothing with but take loss. will never do business here again and will spread the word as much as possible. read more

I took my 2020 equinox in for service. Over the past couple of weeks, at least 4 times, the car has had no response while trying to pull out into traffic. It is one of those things that happens sporadically and I don't know when it will happen. There is no warning leading up to it. I pull out into traffic and it may or may not go. This is beyond dangerous and I'm potentially putting my life in danger with every attempt to pull out into traffic. I took it in for its routine oil change and tire rotation and to have it serviced for the no response at 8 in the morning. At 4:15 I called for an update as I had not heard from them yet and they close at 5. I was told that they took it for a ride and found nothing - of course as it only does it occasionally. I was told that the tires are " severely worn" and because it is an all wheel drive vehicle that could be the problem. My car has 31000 miles on it and had its tires rotated at every oil change at team hodges. Every time I get it back from them the paper work and sticker they put on the window has the tires marked in the green for good - not yellow and not red - even this time when I picked it up the sticker on the window has tires marked all green for good ?? When I picked it up they gave me a quote for new tires. I have researched this problem and it is a real thing with this vehicle. As a driver, you wait for an opportunity to safely pull out into traffic and get up to speed to avoid an incident. I guess I can only hope that I don't get killed or kill someone in an accident - Because I don't believe it could possible have anything to do with TIRES with 31000 miles on them. read more

In March of 2009, my wife and I took our 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix in for servicing after it quit on the freeway. After waiting three days, we were told by the head mechanic that they had to replace spark plugs/wires and still couldn't get it to start, so they ran a scope on the engine and told us they found a hole in one of the pistons and were quoted an amount of over $3,000 for repairs. We were charged $158. for a set of spark plugs and had the car towed home. Two days later, the head mechanic called my wife and offered her $300.00 for the car.. stating that he had a daughter who would be driving soon and could fix it up for her. The car sat in our garage for a year before we could afford to have it transferred to another garage to have it looked at. A complete tear down of the engine was performed, finding the problem was a broken camshaft. The engine was rebuilt without any trouble. I took the car back to the dealership and spoke directly to the owner about my feelings of dishonesty and breach of trust, to which I pretty much got the brush off. I would NEVER recommend ANYONE to this company regarding anything that they're accompanied with, unless you feel comfortable filling pockets of dishonest people! read more
