We've had nothing but the best experiences with Remo the Realtor. He helped us buy our first home after months and months of looking. He's always there to answer any questions at any time. Stop your search! Remo is the best damned realtor in Whittier and surrounding areas, bar none. How do I know this? I wouldn't buy a set of steak knives without researching first. I read three books on home selling before I began my search for the top realtor in my area and quickly discovered Remo. He has no equal. There's a reason for his perfect 5 star rating on his 200+ reviews. He deeply cares about his clientele and has the skills, knowledge, and the drive it takes to deliver the goods, maximizing your financial gains. Before settling on Remo as my guy, I interviewed other realtors who posted good reviews. I wanted to be thorough with so much at stake. I asked a slew of questions, and Remo checked all of the boxes. His responses were dead on, matching all of the criteria I had laid out. The other real estate agents paled in comparison. They all talked a good game, initially, but it became quickly apparent that all they were interested in was getting my house on the market as quickly as possible to cash in on the sale.  You see, whether your home sells for $670,000 or $700,000 makes little difference to your typical realtor. In my example, a realtor would receive only a few hundred additional dollars in commission, but you would stand to gain another $30,000! Remo, on the other hand, cares deeply about his reputation and your satisfaction, so he will toil to get you that extra cash, the maximum price possible. I reached out to Remo for my older aunt who had a property to sell so she can relocate to AZ. My aunt isn't the easiest to work with because she has tons of questions and just likes to talk. Background: I was recently in a transaction where he was the seller's agent and I was the buyer. My communication was via my agent who has assisted me with both the purchase of primary and second home as well as property management of my investment property over the last 15 years. Experience: 1st, at offering time, I was informed of what my competitors were offering. I do not know the source or legitimacy but I found it Interrsting. 2nd, when I learned of asbestos presence upon inspection, he offered to clean up the asbestos and repaint himself. I was very uncomfortable with this so the agreement was modified to the 2 agents bearing/sharing the cost for professional treatment 50/50. My agent secured and paid for the clean up, only to find delay in reimbursement and only after several chases. 3rd, due to the holidays, I had challenges closing on the 30 day closing mark, thus facing potential of per diem charges. I requested for the per diem to be included in the escrow papers as the per diem would be due seller not seller's agent, that never happened. However, I was told that the curtains would be taken from the property instead. Finally, after closing, I'm told that since the property was previously a rental unit, the sellers agents never got the mailbox or HOA pool key. Shouldn't this have been disclosed up front? No HOA pool key, I suppose it happens, but no mailbox keys? Interesting... Conclusion: as with all yelp reviews, take it or leave it and it's up to you what you make of my experience and decide what you want to do with it.
