I hired Teamvork Remodeling Group (TRG) to remodel my front and back yards, which included building two tile patios, a pergola, laying pavers for both areas, completing irrigation work, and handling some electrical work, all for a total of $178,540. It took them more than 1.5 year to work. Now that the company is closing, they try to collect the final payment and run without provide any work insurance or addressed the issues related to rework and property damage. As of As of Aug 25-2024, the company's headquarters is listed as UPS mailbox. However, even that mailbox is no longer active. Summary: TRG is a disorganized team, frequently changing subcontractors without providing plans, drawings, or instructions to subsequent teams. They pressured customers into accepting substandard work, demanded final payment assuming the job was complete without considering customer satisfaction or quality, and ignored necessary corrections for incomplete work and property damage caused during construction. Additionally, One representative even prevented customers from speaking to workers, acting as if they were in command. * The project began with the demolition of existing structures and groundwork. However, four different electrical teams were brought in, none of whom were aware of the previous team's work. I had to provide them with photos I had taken during construction. Subcontractors often left the job due to delayed or insufficient payments from TRG * The irrigation team was especially problematic. New team members were unaware of the previous work, leading to cut and buried water lines that were only discovered after paving was completed. They reused existing water lines and sprinkler heads instead of installing a new system. Took them over 1yr to finished the balcony. The worse part was, they demolished and asked for extra which we had to pay extra. Otherwise, they wouldn't continue. I should just have another contractor to take over, but i didn't. I was stupid enough to trust them again. They did half of the job and then completely abandoned the project. At the time I did it because honestly I just wanted to forget that I ever hired them. At the time, instead of offering me to fix the terrible job they did they just offered me a GrubHub gift card! I rejected it and decided to move on. However, after learning from an actual fireplace and fire pit professional that there is no good fix and that i should just rebuild, I decided to write this review again to save other people the trouble of working with this guys. But he was there in the beginning to collect the money and at the end for the final walkthrough, not during the project. We are very unhappy with the final result. This group renovated a very small downstairs bathroom for us. We were quoted four days to complete the entire job. It took over a month. We were quoted an extremely high price, but for a very short timeline we were willing to pay. Obviously that didn't happen. We had to purchase every single piece that was placed in our bathroom including tile, vanity, lighting. This made the price even higher. Ilan, The project manager, is all talk. He promises to show up and does not keep his promise. Sometimes the workers would come for two hours and not come again for four or five days. The quality of work was extremely poor. The edges of the tile look like a toddler cut them. This company was willing to leave every aspect of this unless we mentioned it to have it redone. Terrible company that lies and overbids. Do not trust at all and get a quote from other companies. This company has several names because they change names to get around being banned from websites like Angi's list to list business to clients. Also people who work for this company fake being the owner to have you believe them and ask less questions. When anything is questioned they communicate really unprofessionally. I asked for a quote for mold testing and the salesmen that quoted, lied about the different test that was going to be given for the job. This was confirmed by myself and another person. The salesmen told me I miss understood and I went with it not knowing anything thinking maybe it was a honest mistake of my miss hearing. The mold inspector did the test of two locations within my house. I didn't get the results of the test back yet and they already told me that I had black mold and that everything need to be ripped apart in the bathroom and replaced, also that if I went with this company then i would get a discount. I found this odd since the bathroom was remodeled within less then 5 months but mold swab test show black mold on a new restroom. I found this very suspicious and I already paid over 600$ for the test with teamwork remodeling group. Once I got the actual test in my hands to confirm the findings, I did some google test and found that the test wasn't as scary as they made it out to be. Recommendations from the lab did recommend that the mold be cleaned and remediated but no where in the results was there any information about black mold. This was all suspicious to me so I was already deep in the hole with money but had a feeling that something was wrong. So I searched around for another mold testing company and explained my worries to that second company and many others that I called. Several companies on the phone confirmed that the mold testing that teamwork remodeling group did was wrong. You need to run a air sample outside of the property and then do testing on the inside to confirm that you aren't getting the same results inside and outside in case outside moisture is causing everything. I used the secondary company to test and they sent the test to a independent lab to confirm my suspicions. I DIDN'T HAVE BLACK MOLD OR ANY MOLD THAT NEEDED TO BE REMEDIATED. THIS COMPANY LIED ABOUT RESULTS. None of the results showed any issues or levels of mold that were harmful in any way. Also there were no results from the lab that said that any issues occurred for health concerns. Inside results matched outside results and alleviated the fear mongering scare tactics that teamwork used to scare me into paying more money for their services. As a side note the secondary company I used for testing, saw the results from teamwork's testing and straight out said that they tested wrong and the results are weird even though the lab that teamwork sent test off to was a reputable one. So teamwork remolding group with the mold inspector lied somewhere in the test to show mold that needed remediation. I tried to call them afterward many, many, many times and my calls were conveniently never picked up. I couldn't get my money back and I don't trust this company at all. read more

I did a total remodel with them. Inside whole house, and outside tear out patio cover and deck. They indicated they were in OC, but they are based out of the valley, so all of their subs are as well. They really did not like coming to Mission Viejo. Also, many tools, etc. went missing. Quality of work was good, but not great. Follow up like on front door and screen that had gotten broken wasn't good. They also weren't the greatest on cleanup. Had total re-piping and had wall patch compounds all over. Wow, this team did an incredible job on our living room remodel! Nimi and his team were fast, efficient, and respectful of our detailed requests. His team was able to start on our project the very next day after our initial consultation! Very rare to find. We had a tight timeline and he was confident they could get it done on time. We did have an initial hiccup regarding the communication of additional costs upfront, but we worked it out and it was resolved quickly. It's May 2023. Two years later, the surface of the bathroom still looks great, but I've had about $1000 plus dollars worth of plumbing problems from the poor plumbing work and water damage. The bathtub faucet has come off twice. I had to pay to fix that. I suspect it's not sealed properly because water sprays into the wall when the faucet comes off. I'm just now having the toilet flange and wax ring replaced. It was too old and rusty when they updated the bathroom, but they failed to tell me, didn't replace anything, AND didn't seal the hole properly, so now I have wood damage and they will likely have to pull up the pretty floor to fix the moist, damaged wood. It was a recipe for disaster, and any professional should have seen that. I changed my rating to a 3 because all the problems definitely take away from the overall experience and value for the cost. read more

They were a nightmare. The $200k renovation was scheduled to last 8 - 10 weeks. It took them one year plus.

We had a $400k+ home renovation with Teamwork Remodeling Group that included a new bathroom, fully remodeled kitchen and second bathroom, new stucco siding, new roof, new windows, and more. Very long story short: They abandoned our project. It took months to get them to resume work on site. They eventually abandoned the project a second time and settled with us so that we would not sue them for breach of contract, but it's a pittance compared to the expense of remedying all the damage, missing equipment, and poor workmanship they subjected us to. Piles of rubble, trash, and debris left on site. Stucco and paint spatter on hardscape, walls, plants, and drains. Stucco was installed all the way to soil grade and needs to be fixed. An independent inspection revealed that the roof was missing flashing. Cabinets stipulated in our contract were not installed. Carpets weren't covered properly through demo, drywall, and painting, now they need deep cleaning and one needs to be replaced. Drywall and paint throughout the interior needed to be done twice because the first attempt was so poor. Many, many project managers, some extremely difficult to get in touch with, some who didn't know even basic facts about what had been done on our project and what they needed to do. So many confusing, poorly thought-out choices that they tried to evade responsibility for. I will give credit where credit is due: Teamwork Remodeling meets the minimum licensing requirements of a general contractor. Workmanship and industry standards aside, the work they complete will be legally to code. A couple of the project managers I dealt with were friendly and professional. Some of the work, especially the work completed early in the project timeline, is pretty decent. And that's about it. I took a job up in Washington and I simply don't have the time or energy to argue with them or pursue them in court across state lines. I've cut my losses. Writing this review is my one recourse to ensure no one else has to deal with what we went through. Stay away. read more

It's absolutely amazing at the unprofessionalism within this company. Avi was the only associate that tried to get our project finished. Find another company, this one does not care about their quality of work. . This one did very poor quality replacing a dry rot section of fascia board when they installed their gutter system. I complained after the repair was completed and before the gutter was installed over the poor repair. I was told by Jimmy, the guy in charge, it was an OK repair. I let him convince me it was correct but other professionals who came by later said it was a horrible repair and will break down gain with dry rot. When I called the office, they said that no one came because my husband wasn't going to be home and he needed to be here for an estimate and to work with us. There must be companies that I can write a good review for, but this is not the case; Teamwork Remodeling Group is the worst company I have ever seen. Unfortunately, I made a two-month contract with them for a kitchen remodeling with a very irresponsible and unprofessional company that completed the project in six months and that was because I had to hire a lawyer to help me. They did not care for the contract and the situation that I have lived without a kitchen for six months, eating out and getting sick with all the stress they caused to my family and me. They leave us without Thanksgiving and Christmas. I write this note to warn you about this contractor; you can save lots of headaches and lousy time if you think very well before you get involved in business with them. Teamwork Remodeling Group will bring a bunch of subcontractors that do not qualify, and most of the time, they do not have any idea what they are doing. A clear example was when they have to do the backsplash in the kitchen; they had to do it three times by three different crews, one worse than their predecessor. You don't have an idea how much material was wasted. Aggregate to the shoddy work, they have terrible customer service, they don't have any consideration and empathy with their customers. Everybody tries to call themselves owners, one person named "Nimi" has no idea how to work with customers; he is ruth and disrespectful. He went out of control and yelled at my wife; we were ready to call the police because of his uncontrolled behavior. I have may proofs and picture that I can share with you if you ask me. Therefore due to this awful experience, I recommend you find out and do good research before you hire a company for your next home project, especially be very careful with those home improvement mailers. We had a water damaged garage. Rami and his people cleaned up the mess and essentially rebuilt half of our garage. They removed everything in the garage to get to the damaged drywall, removed and replaced a waste pipe that wouldn't drain, removed and replaced damaged drywall on the ceiling and walls, plastered, taped and mudded the joints, and then textured and painted to make our garage as good as new. Then they replaced all the stuff in the garage.They did their jobs carefully and professionally. Rami diligently visited and called us daily to make sure there were no issues and we were happy.
