For the last 8 or so years I have been on a mission to find a hair stylist that I could call "mine"! I've been all around kitsap and pierce county with no luck. I have what you would call challenging hair. Its hard to find anyone who can cut it. Let alone being half way decent. Then I decided to call tease because I remember Judy used to cut my moms hair when she worker at waves. According to my mom Judy is the best. So I called to make an apt and her next apt was 3 weeks out. I am so impatient and I almost went back to my old ways of going somewhere that could get me in sooner and just hope for the best. I ended up waiting and I just want everyone to know just is officially MINE. She knew exactly how to cut my thick coarse hair and I can honestly say every strand on my head falls perfectly. My hair has never been so texturized and my volume is amazing. My balyage is painted perfect and frames my face. She is the only person who dry cut my hair before the color so she knew exactly where she was putting the color. Most of the time stylists end up cutting all my color off when they realize how much dead hair they just colored for no reason. If your reading this cause your shopping around for a new stylist, go to Judy i promise she will be the last stylist you will ever go to. She is easy to talk to, she keeps up on the latest trends and its obvious hair is her passion. We were running a little late and it was going into her next apt schedule and I told her not to style and blow out my hair to save her time. She laughed and let me know that was not an option because she enjoys seeing her finished work. That let me know she takes pride in her work and that was so cool to me. So far I've been to tease Twice, both times getting my hair cut by Kellie C and one time getting my eyebrows waxed by Amber. I'll be going back! About Tease: Great atmosphere with very friendly staff. The waiting area is comfortable and chic with fresh coffee or cold water being offered when you come in. It's clean, bright, and has a view of the water. The parking lot is small but so far that's not been a problem for me. About Kellie: I have long, naturally curly hair and Kellie does a fabulous job working with it. It's proven nearly impossible to find a stylist who can work with natural curls, so I'm downright giddy to have found Kelllie. She has a great eye for length and layers, plus she's fun to chat with. I also find her prices very reasonable, I've paid $35 each visit (I'm not sure if each stylist sets pricing or if the salon has established pricing). In the past I got a cut or two from the folks at Gene Juarez; the cut wasn't as good as Kellie's and they charged me $65! I've not had any coloring done but my sister and mom both sang Kellie's praises when she did their color. About Amber: I've only seen Amber once and at my last visit she was pretty new to Tease. That said it was the best eyebrow waxing experience I've ever had, almost more like a spa experience. She was very thorough and careful, taking time to trim the brows as well as wax and pluck. For the first time ever I walked away from a waxing without traces of wax being left somewhere around my eyebrows! She also used products that left my skin calm and soft. Another beauty professional I'll be seeing again. I paid $15 this service, a pretty average price for the area and definitely worth it. read more

My first visit to the Tease Salon turned out to be the most positive hair appointment I have ever experienced (in my 63 years of striving to be ravishing gorgeous)! As a Bellevue native and longtime Seattleite, I have a vast number of tales to tell when it comes to treating my tresses. In all seriousness, though, the service, atmosphere, level of skill and devotion to creativity was top notch - from the phone call appointment arrangements to the delightful customer-focused attitude to the all- important skillful expertise of my particular stylist, Dana Lynne. The salon itself is situated just above the Port Washington Narrows, with gorgeous spanning water views (Relaxing). The interior design is beautifully upscale and inviting without even a hint of pretentiousness (Spoiled). And, as I said, the proof is always in the end result (Gorgeous). My stylist, Dana Lynne, was fun and funny, extremely communicative and comfortable in her knowledge of hair, energetic and engaging, and again extremely skillful. The amoount of time she spent communicaitng and meticulously shaping was testament to her passion for her craft. I hope I will never have to look further for a stylist. She made me as close to "ravishingly gorgeous" as a 63 year old can hope to be. I highly recommend this salon. read more

I went in for a pretty drastic haircut -- went from shoulder-length hair to a shaved pixie cut -- and Kiki did such a fantastic job of transforming me into a cutiepie, I feel so free and more like myself ever since getting my haircut. From the get-go I was confident Kiki would do a good job, and they did. On top of that, they were also incredibly friendly and easy to talk to, and the other stylist working on another customer's hair kept piping in during my haircut with sweet genuine compliments, so it was a really comfortable and uplifting experience all around. This place also offers you coffee before you get your haircut, which I appreciated bc I'm a coffee fiend! Everything about this place is adorable, warm and friendly, and they seem to sincerely care about giving you the hair you want and making you look fresh and cool. Kiki was careful to clarify how I wanted them to cut my hair, and also what to expect w/ the cut I was getting. These peeps are awesome and amazing at what they do! And all of that awesomeness for extremely fair prices! I'm sticking with this salon and I highly recommend it to anyone else looking to cut their hair :) read more

I walked into Tease without an appointment because I was in desperate need of a cut. I was greeted warmly and professionally, and was immediately in the chair. Kiki listened to what I wanted, offered suggestions, and patiently adjusted my cut as we went according to my preferences. Every stylist was kind and welcoming, the atmosphere is very nice, and the products they use smell amazing. I got my hair cut, washed, and styled for an unexpectedly amazing price. I'm the type of customer who knows what they want, and I'm either one you'd love to have or hate to have. I plan to return again and again because I am blown away by the service I received. My boyfriend came with me and they offered him coffee and tea, and let him sit alongside me during my cut. Tease may have gained a lifetime client today, thanks to Kiki. It's not often I'm so moved to write a review for anything. It says a lot that I've written this at all. Phenomenal experience, phenomenal stylist, and I'm happy to give my business. I have very thick hair and lots of bad experiences. I always feel like there is some secret salon language that I don't know how to speak because I tell the stylist what I want and end up with something completely different. But when I went to Tease I was pleasantly surprised. I saw Dana Lynne today and I was nervous because, as I said, I've had a lot of bad experiences. She was very friendly and easy to talk to. It didn't feel like a fake nice or like she was rushing or burdened by me. The atmosphere in general at Tease was very relaxing and friendly, and with a great view! The haircut itself was the best I've had in years. I would definitely say Dana is one of the most skilled stylists I've met. I showed her a picture and explained what I wanted, she LISTENED and threw in some of her own ideas. The end product was awesome! I walked away completely happy and excited to come back next time. Overall, I think Tease (although it looks like a small time salon on the outside) is probably the best place in town. They treat their customers well and are very skilled in their work! I've been going to Mecca for over a year. When she moved to Tease in Manette I was SO excited that the salon was in my neighborhood. I had let my hair grow too long (all the way down my back to my hips) and was in real need of a cut and color. I booked a baliage color and cut by calling into the salon, they were very helpful and friendly over the phone. Tease sent me a text reminder the day before and called to confirm, which was a nice touch. Tease has a cosy comfortable vibe when you first walk in, and calming water views when you sit down. It's the perfect place to de-stress and find a great stylist that will take good care of you. I love that it's local, and everyone is so welcoming. I love my new bouncy hair and and the purple with red mix looks so pretty! They also helped me find a few products to help keep my hair going. Look forward to coming back in 8 weeks for a touch up! I have been getting the same hair cut from Michelle for TEN YEARS. I know, BORING. So I told her I wanted something different, I told her I wanted her to make me look like a PIMP!! She gladly accepted my challenge. Michelle told me what she was thinking about doing. I was unsure, but I trusted her so I gave her project the green light. When she finished I was still not sure. A month went by and I wasn't getting the reaction I wanted, you know, a pimpy reaction. I told Michelle, she said it's ok just come in and she would do something different. I went in two weeks ago and got the haircut of a lifetime!! I AM NOW A PIMP!! I used to be fat, now I have six pack abs!! Women throw themselves at me!! I am literally still standing in the parking lot after my appointment, but I just couldn't wait to write this review! I am usually very apprehensive about cutting my hair and as a result I only cut it about every 2 years. In the past I have had problems with stylists not giving me quite what I wanted and seeming like they were more interested with how THEY thought my hair should look. Not here! Dana was my stylistand not only did she do an amazing job with my hair, she is also very friendly and personable and made the appointment an overall pleasant experience. The Salon was also very clean, decorated beautifully and had a great atmosphere. I have never felt any type of loyalty to a salon, but Dana has definitely made a loyal customer out of me! Great salon--I switched to this salon a few years ago because I wanted something local and good. The salon has an urban-chic vibe with a panaromic view of the water and Manette bridge---love the scenic location! My shoulder-length naturally curly hair has lost its curl and has only weird waves now---styling my hair is no easy feat. Dana and Judy are excellent, professional, and sassy-fun. Dana does awesome work with my cut, style, and color. So far, I've tried reverse-balayage (mostly dark brown hair), very blonde, low lights, highlights, bangs, no-bangs, and now just subtle highlights every few months on dark blonde. It's wonderful to go someone who listens, cares, and offers helpful advice to keep my moody tresses happy. I highly recommend the services of Tease salon. read more

Tease is the cutest little boutique salon with gorgeous views of the waterfront, in all of its' Fall splendor. I felt welcome and comfortable from the moment I stepped in. The staff is professional, down to earth and approachable. Dana was excellent at listening to what I was looking for. She had a look at a couple of the screenshots of the hair style I liked and knew exactly how to execute the look I was going for. Dana was amazing from the start. TEASE is a five star + salon with top notch stylists! I LOVE DANA and anyone that sees her will too!! She's a wizard with long hair, and as you ladies know, it takes forever to grow it so we want to baby it!  Sadly, I've had to settle for subpar stylists as we've been traveling in and out town caring for my aging in-laws.  Needless to say, I cannot wait to get back to my fav gal!  I love the atmosphere in this trendy little salon! For about 2 months KiKi and I have been communicating about my hair switch. I had long blonde hair to my lower back and no bangs. I wanted dark brown hair (collar bone length) with straight across bangs. KiKi took the time to create a look board on google docs so she could understand exactly what I wanted. Then when I came in she checked in with me about color, length, and bangs at each step. She was so emotionally supportive over this giant change. We even discussed our trust and how if she thought my hair could be better, she would say something. This means everything to me. I absolutely love this salon! I found their online booking system to be super user friendly and it sent me the perfect amount of reminders leading up to my appointment. The stylist working the reception counter was very friendly! I got a women's haircut with Judy, the owner, and she was absolutely lovely! She is clearly very passionate about hair, and extremely talented. She had a very difficult client on the phone prior to my appointment starting, and she handled the situation with poise and grace. I've been going to Tease to see Kellie for years. She's consistent and confident and those are two important qualities in a hair stylist. From time to time, I go in for an appointment and feel like I'm in a funk and Kellie always comes up with something great that makes me feel 100 times better about myself. Dana Lynne did an amazing job turning my fall color into spring! I went in for a consultation and showed her some pictures, we talked about what I wanted and she even gave me some great ideas that would look good on my hair! When it came to the day of my appointment, she did everything we talked about and even checked in multiple times to make sure I was okay with how it was looking. She did a beautiful color melt on my hair and the color is perfect for the transition into spring! The salon is also in a beautiful location with a great view! Kelly has been my stylist for about 6 years....the girl can do some hair lemme tell you. I have thick, super fine hair and she is magic. If I don't know what I want I just ask her to make it look good. She has colored, highlighted, bleached, streaked, layered, textured....you name it, it has never been less than 1000%. I live on Bainbridge Island and I drive to Manette, she is that good, her prices are extremely reasonable, and the salon is top notch. I saw Karatrina for a cut and color back in February, just before COVID restrictions hit in March and my hair still looks fabulous!!! I'm not kidding!!! This is the best haircut and color I have had in approximately 20 years! Karatrina listens to you and is very skilled at taking my hair from fine, heavy and no body to perfectly lightly layered - enough to add movement and fullness but not so much layering that it's a styling nightmare.
