On October 31, at 7:40am, 20 minutes prior to leaving the house to do drop offs and head into the office we received a phone call that they are short staffed due to illness. Given that they are out of ratio, only half the class could attend and our infant was randomly selected to not attend. I incurred as to how the selection process was made but I got no response via 2 emails sent. As working parents, we were expected to find alternative child care in 20 minutes. It should not be our problem that they cannot staff. The whole point of daycare is to have accountability and consistency. Check out their LONG list of violations too on the ODJFS website. I personally contacted them when I witnessed with my own two eyes that they had more children than the mandated child/provider ratio and got a false response from the site lead. I went as far as setting up a phone call with them to discuss the non-compliances and to better understand the go forward action plan. They assured me they were addressing everything (so we believed them and kept our son at the daycare) yet got cited yet again last week! The Owner and Operations Director have no communication to parents, many excuses and lacks follow through. There is not a way to directly get in contact with the Owner. You get rerouted through their Accounting department. What does the Accounting department have to do with my question or concerns as a parent? They can't keep the daycare staffed, constant turnover so it's hard for your child to make meaningful connections with the daycare providers. I sense the daycare providers are doing the best they can do given the situation. It's not their fault that they were blind-sighted by working for a poorly run daycare. I don't have any specific complaints regarding the daycare providers. In fact, I felt like they enjoyed having our son in their classroom. I don't understand how GMS is in business quite honestly. I am posting this to warn prospective families. Although we are still navigating through our childcare plan go forward for our infant, we are feeling relieved that we are no longer associated with this facility!

My two youngest sons now go to Primrose at the Pinnacle, and my seven-year-old goes on snow days, holidays, and during the summers. The teacher never noticed until a code was called and the Director raced outside to grab my son. Full review below. My son had been going to this Primrose location for a little over a year. A couple weeks ago, my son's class was outside in the play yard with their teacher. My son, and another little one, pushed open the gate leading from the play yard to the parking lot without the teacher noticing. This gate was supposed to be locked, but was not. My son walked out of the play yard, across the parking lot, and into the retention pond, without his teacher noticing. The only reason why a code was called was because a teacher in another classroom happened to look out their classroom window and see my son walking into the pond. My son might not be here today if the teacher hadn't looked out their window. While the Director acted quickly to pull my son out of the pond, this major lapse in security should have never occurred. The daycare critically failed to complete security checks to ensure all gates were locked. My child could have died because they failed to complete security checks. I, obviously, pulled my son out of Primrose School at Pinnacle. I could never trust them to take the necessary measures needed to ensure my child's, or any of the other children's who attend this daycare, safety. I understand that the executive staff are taking responsibility for what happened, cooperating with the investigation, and taking steps to mitigate the risk of this happening again, but this should have never happened. My son loved his teachers and going to this school. This entire incident is heartbreaking for me and his dad.

He loves his teachers very much and it is evident that they love him, too! His safety and well-being is of the utmost importance to us. Any concerns we've had have been met with respect and understanding. The Director is always ready and willing to talk with a parent. The rates are very reasonable. We like how Glenwood runs like a typical school -- there are school pictures, Open House, parties for the different times of the year, Scholastic book orders, and Thanksgiving meal at lunch time with parents, to give just a few examples. Over the summer, Glenwood brought in Shizzle Dizzle Magic Show and they also brought the farm to the school! It's only been four and a half months but what we've experienced thus far has been positive. Glenwood was instrumental in our son becoming potty-trained. We are so pleased to have found a partner in our son's preschool years.

We left after an hour because of how horrible this experience was. We ended up getting a membership to another pool and go there constantly. We will never come back to this pool.
