I also wanted a second set of eyes to check all my work and inspect everything once in a while, so I dropped my bike off at Fairfax Cycles. The main service I requested was to replace the front fork and exchange the fork and brake oils. I bought the Ohlins fork from Partszilla and dropped it off at the shop. I was missing some other small parts needed, and they were able to order it for me. I had a budget I wanted to stick to, and they were able to work with me to meet my budget and the services I needed. They were very flexible. For the amount of work done on my bike, I'd say the price was fair. The place is very busy all year round, though. Please set your expectations. You'll likely have to wait to get serviced. You'll also need to pick up ASAP. I felt good about all the services performed on the bike. The installed Ohlins fork makes the bike so much better. Will I come back, a definite yes.

I picked up a new piston and was having trouble replacing it myself. By luck I ran across his shop. Reached out and he was incredibly responsive and accommodating. I brought the brake master cylinder into him, went to the store down the road, came back and it was fixed. He gave great suggestions for bleeding the cylinder and then the brake lines. Brakes are back to normal. All good.

ALL of them have failed at servicing my bikes. From forgetting to put oil in a bike, to not even putting the fork bolts back in, and the most common one....damaging wheels during mount and balance. After years of trial and error finding a place. This is the ONLY place I will ever take my ride to for service period. Dave knows his stuff, he treats everything like its his own. Rachel is really good at customer service and will genuinely guide you through the process over the phone. I crawled under the truck yesterday and noticed my oil filter has not been changed in at least 3 visits. They lied. that's over 20000 miles on same filter. They serviced my front differential now the 4x4 will not engage. I have filed a complaint with customer care . the BBB, payment on hold with my credit card company, and state consumer agency.
