I went to Sonan Tech in Willis TX for a motherboard repair on my laptop. The repair required to…read morerepair tracers & battery connector on motherboard. They went ahead and accepted the work. Saying it would take one week. Which turned into two weeks before calling me to hand them the charger to run tests. Then turned into another two weeks before I had to reach out. They said they attempted to fix the laptop four times before giving up. I asked if they knew anyone else that could fix it. They said they don't know anyone that could & it's a total loss. When I was returned the laptop. Over half the screws to the laptop & battery were missing. And after examining the work, it looked almost exactly how I turned it in. The connector was still detached, but now flux paste residue, and damage to other areas of the motherboard (possibly from soldering burns). I went to them because they were the closest & highest reviews on google, but their volume of reviews on Yelp don't match, and the fact there's no bad reviews is questioning. The fact that they still charged me a $65 fee just attempting the work is mind boggling. Finding a business that does computer repairs is like finding a quality mechanic. I think it takes more than finding a big name & nice store. You really have to do your research. I've reach out to people on TikTok who show regular soldering/tracer work. They were sympathetic and happy to solve my issue. Which I'm hoping they can still repair after leaving it with Sonan. Don't believe what one company tells you. I've lost trust & time by going to Sonan Tech. I highly doubt I will ever go back again.

We have a Winegard satellite antenna on top of our 2016 Fleetwood Pace Arrow. It was installed by…read morethe dealer when we first bought the motorhome. After only about two years, it (the satellite dish) took a dump on us. When we called the dealership, they told us they couldn't do anything; that Winegard was the only company authorized to repair and service their own equipment. When we contacted Winegard, they told us pretty much the same thing. What Winegard wanted us to do was to remove the satellite from the roof of the RV, package it up and then mail it to them so they could evaluate the antenna and then make any necessary repairs if possible. When complete they would package it back up and ship it to us so we could put the dish back up on the roof. We are currently in Livingston, Texas. While we're here we're having our roof repaired after sustaining some damage from one of the recent storms. In order to make the repairs, they had to take the satellite down. So we said "what the hell"! After surfing around the internet, we found these guys...Sats2Go, a mobile repair service. We gave them a call, they told us that they had worked on Winegards in the past so we made an appointment to have them come out and see what they could do. After about an hour or so, the guy found the problem and replaced the motor. Everything checked out okay. So now, when the roof repair guys finish up and put the A/C units back up, they can put the satellite back up too. The satellite repair guy was a really nice guy, very polite and very professional. He obviously knew what he was doing and he took the time to explain to us what he was doing and why. I would use this company again, and I highly recommend them...

this is the closest rv store near me and it was still an hour away. i came here for a replacement…read morefor my 30 year old motorhome converter so i definitely had to go out of my way to visit this place, but it was necessary. when i first arrived, nobody was there to greet me for about 5 minutes, but i figured they were busy so took a look at the products they were selling as i waited. james, the owner, was available to help, and he seemed nice when we first started talking about the part. but as the conversation continued, he started to become a little more condescending about my knowledge of my rig. eventually, he pulled a converter from his stock, but kept it behind the counter. so i was unable to review the specs myself. then he said he would have his wife, lisa, come out to help me in a moment. he left, and i was alone in the store again for maybe 10 minutes this time. when lisa arrived, i began asking her questions about converters, she seemed knowledgeable, and she seemed to be a lot more willing to find answers for me than james. she was friendly and warm and it was a lot easier to chat with her than her husband. james came in a few minutes later, seemingly upset that i hadnt bought the product yet, saying "what? you're not gonna ask about the price or anything? you're gonna talk to my office lady?" first of all, the disrespect to his wife was absurd. especially in front of a customer. secondly, who in their right mind pays for an expensive piece of equipment without making sure its compatible with what they have? its important to note at this point i have only seen the converter and the info that is printed on its label, which is input/output voltage, watts, make, model, and amps. and warnings of course. there was no indication of what battery system its useable with. so i asked james if he knew, and he didn't. how weird that you would be willing to selling an expensive product and not even know its specs. he referred to the packaging it came in to get this information. offering it to me, like i was suspicious of the validity of the converter on its own. the box was not the problem!! i was trying to get info on the converter to make sure it wouldnt ruin my 30 year old rig. and he was extremely defensive that i had the audacity to ask about the product??? he found out its compatible with apm, lead acid, and lipo4. so with that in mind, i needed to know if the item does trickle charging for the lead acid. james, in snot nosed kid fashion, read the entirety of the box aloud even after supplying the information i had asked for. it smelled like the attitude of someone that just sells products without really knowing its quality. at the end of all this, i asked lisa how much the converter was and i decided the experience with james wasnt worth $500+. im sorry lisa has to be talked down to by her husband like that, especially in front of strangers. what an ugly attitude.
