I had a great experience with TechFix Electronic Repair. Visited them to repair my laptop. First I noticed integrity and honesty with their personnel because before even quoting me a repair they checked out with laptop capabilities to determine if it was worth repair. I understand that to some of you this may sound weird but it makes total sense. Why spend $1200 laptop repair in a $400 laptop. To me that's speaks highly about this business ethics, they are clear and honest with the client rather than cheat them, now days you don't easily encounter that. Afterwards they made me feel at ease. The repair took a bit over a week. They were courteous and called me once it was ready. I definitely recommend and would come back again. DO NOT MAKE BUSINESS HERE! I dropped off my phone (iPhone 8 plus) on 6/6/20, I had a friendly encounter and good customer service from Andres. Called me a couple days (4 days) later to let me know what was wrong with my phone (Bluetooth and Wifi antennas weren't working). He advised me that they needed to send it out to the main office in San Antonio, if I'm not mistaken, to get it fixed. He explained pricing and I was completely fine with it and eager to get my phone fixed and up and running again. Today, is 7/7/20 AND I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE MY PHONE OR ANY STATUS ON IT. I called them SEVERAL times at the Dyer location where I dropped off my phone and no one answers. I called the Zaragoza location and they couldn't find my information or my phone because "it wasn't in the system". I called the Fort Bliss location 3 times prior to today's date and they were the only ones to answer and help me. The Fort Bliss location is always on top of it and they found out that the Dyer location misspelled my name! We fixed the last name and the gentlemen told me he would give me a call. Unfortunately, he never called me back. I called the Fort Bliss location again today and they were able to help me out and go that extra mile to call the manager from the Dyer location AND GUESS WHAT! He answered him (associate from the Fort Bliss) but didn't answer ME (The customer)??? The associate told me that my phone "was to arrive" Thursday (7/9) or Friday (7/10). Almost 5 WEEKS OF ME DROPPING IT OFF with no update on my phone and when it would be ready or being sent back from the SA location. I don't mind how long it's been, I am just VERY disappointed in the Dyer location and there lack of communication and the neglection of their clientele! Scammers. Paid $266 to get my screen repaired. They told me it would take until x day for it to be finished, I show up that day and they hadn't even gotten to it yet. I come back the next day and my phone looks shiny and new, cool! After taking it back home and putting it on the charger I notice that the charger is no longer responsive to being charged. Naturally I return to them for their so called "lifetime warranty." The charging port, which they broke, was not applicable to the warranty because they said they couldn't check that before working on it. Oh they could, they very easily could have checked that the phone was able to charge before they put their paws on it... Now I have to pay an additional $79 to get my charging port replaced, the port that they damaged.. This is the same level of scum that certain automobile mechanics have been operating under for decades, sad to see it get into the tech world. I will not be giving them any more business. read more

1) I didn't back up my iphone 6 in months with over 50 gb data on it. 2) Went on vacation and my thought to be waterproof case failed me so my phone was completely water logged from tubing in San Marcos. 3) Soaked phone in rice for a week never would turn on thought I lost thousands of photos of my family and other important data 4) Took my phone to allstar wireless, managed to extract all of my data AND fix my phone (which i water logged again due to faulty life proof cases) Anyways, after a pretty lengthy complicated process to get my new phone, I eventually got one and they managed to put all of my data from damaged phone to my new one. My screen was broken on my iPhone 11 and they fixed my screen but right after they fixed my phone, my phone start having problems that it has never had before. I was covered under warranty and went back to see if they could fix the problem. They examined it for an hour and told me to come back if I had any more problems. DO NOT GO HERE! My husbands screen was cracked so we first went to the one on Fort Bliss which they ordered the part and "fixed" it, then they also broke his home screen. After having to take it to the one on Lee Trevino they fixed his home screen. A couple weeks later he could not use his screen at all it just went black. So we go back to Lee Trevino they replace the screen again as it was under warranty then a few weeks later the screen COMPLETELY FALLS OFF his phone, like it wasn't even attached. We go back and they say it's not under warranty so they try to make us pay for another one and say it would take two weeks to order one. I came to this location for the 1st time on Wed 9/23 regarding a Chromebook screen repair. Apparently, a new hire took my information, had me sign a contract, and gave me incorrect information. I was told he'd order the part and call me within 1-2 business days once the screen comes in. I asked if I needed to pay anything upfront since I couldn't leave the Chromebook and was told no. I asked for a receipt or copy of the document I signed and was also told that could not be done. I've called EVERYDAY for 7 days to check the status of the ordered part so I could take the Chromebook back. Each day, I was told they couldn't find my paperwork and I'd receive a call back. I never did so continued to call back. Today, I called again and was finally told no record and nothing could be done. This employee took my info, signature, serial number, and everything and lost the form I assume. EVERY employee was very rude each day I called back. Price was never an issue as I explained. I was just never told to pay up front; even after offering to pay that day. The manager I spoke w/today was EXTREMELY rude and told me the guy I signed with told her I said I would check other places, which was not true given the fact that I needed the fastest turnaround time possible. I've waited a week for NOTHING but horrible communication, and lies only to be back at square one after not receiving a call back at any point. Once the Chromebook was repaired, I had an older laptop I was going to bring in if pleased with the service but this place couldn't even get the initial contact correct. Such a shame I'm unable to patronize a small business due to their own negligence, poor training, and lack of communication. read more

Absolute disaster. Brought in iphone x for screen repair and received an unusable phone in return. Screen does what it wants and even called 911 on its own twice. Poor quality after market parts, terrible color, dim brightness, they couldn't even put the screws back in correctly. Brought it in and they put up a wall of excuses to avoid replacing their faulty part. As a lawyer, I'd sue this place but it just isn't worth the time and effort. I came twice to the store in a matter of two weeks. The first was to fix the screen on my laptop and that was done perfectly and thank goodness promptly! And when I took it home I realized the problem was more than the screen so I brought it back to see what the root of the problem was and they said a program that was probably getting in the way and making it slower. Today I got a call while at work that it was done and I just came in just before closing and it is in PERFECT condition. Just what I needed. Was told they would have to order the parts and everything, and was fine with it. 2 months go by and I didn't hear anything and then when I called late October, they said it was more than just the initial issue. If they would've called me with an update about it when the other issues arose, there wouldn't be any problems. Cannot be trusted. I had my laptop repaired there and within a couple of weeks I noticed that something was loose inside my computer and then the fan stated going out. I took it back in while the agreed that I had a 1yr warranty that I had waited too long to bring it back. I tried to explain that I work in a high security area where there are no phones and that I work long hours. The guy at the desk didn't care. I don't have to use my laptop everyday and I was not in a rush to take it back since I had a 1yr warranty (It had been almost 2 months) but when the tech essentially called me I liar and would not help me, that was too much. read more
