This company is unethical and does not care about customers - only big jobs where they can LIE and rake in a lot of money. My warranty company contracted Coronado to repair a hinge on a small washer. Apparently the technicians that came out did not feel like the job was worth the payment they would receive, as one of the technicians kept saying "it (the washer) is so small." Coronado then submitted a report to my warranty provider and LIED when stating that the hinge was broken due to abuse. I sent my own photos which showed a PRISTINE washer, with only a broken hinge due to normal wear and tear. Thankfully, my warranty company found ME credible and has issued a new claim to send out a REPUTABLE repair service. Besides MY review here, there are other negative reviews regarding Coronado TV. And as the saying goes "where there is smoke there is fire." EVERYONE is not lying on Coronado TV. If your warranty company contracts Coronado TV to service ANYTHING you own, I advise you to IMMEDIATELY refuse their service. To add insult to injury, the receptionist is COMPLETELY out of touch with reality, rude, apparently uneducated, and could give a rat's behind about how to speak with and deal with customers. Individuals who are obnoxious and rude as this receptionist is, should NOT be dealing with ANY human being on ANY level. EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF!!!!! THE FRONT DESK LADY is a liar. I called Tuesday to confirm the service call email confirmation I received from the GE warranty department and this lady said they do not service GE Warranty. So I called the warranty department and let them know FRONT desk at Coronado TV Appliance mentioned they don't service these warranty calls according to her. Fast forward to Thursday still trying to schedule a service call, they accepted and confirm the service call for Monday. As I called on Monday to confirm an ETA to ensure we are home to meet with them, she said they only accepted a few of the warranty requests from GE warranty company. Specifically, she said from 10 work orders they received, they canceled 7. I never got a cancelation notice via email nor a call of them canceling my work order. She confirmed my confirmation # from my email and she said they only had 1 technician, to speak to the technician to tell him what is wrong with my appliance and see if He will be able to service it. The technician first of all doesn't speak Spanish. Which is perfectly fine since I am fluent in Spanish. I explained to him the issues that I have been having with the appliance. He kept asking me questions as if he did not know what I was talking about. I explained it more than 3 times. And then he proceeded to say that I needed to call the warranty department so I can schedule with them, I told him I had done that already. I told him that the front desk lady confirmed my confirmation # and she accepted the service call on Thursday upon speaking with GE warranty. So I ask him, why would I have to be redirected to call the warranty department again? When I asked to speak to the owner, he said he was not there. Then he up on me. I called again, the front desk lady answered and then she continued to say that they are not going to accept my work order. I have been trying for almost 2 weeks now. Then she hung up on me. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF! Unfortunately since this is a company that the Warranty department scheduled with, I had no choice to choose from. BUT IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE TO CHOOSE WHO SERVICES YOUR APPLIANCES, PLEASE RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! I WOULDNT GIVE THIS COMPANY ANY OF YOUR HARD EARNED DOLLARS TO. After 5 months of arguing back and forth with a ho.e warranty company and weeks allegedly waiting for a part after the initial visit by this repar business, they allegedly installed a new thermostat a s thermistor on my dryer.i asked to keep the replace parts. They said no. They did not give me a paper receipt or invoice, I had to take picture of it. The dryer worked for one day. When we called to have someone to come out a d look at the dryer again, not working with supposedly new parts, we were told no, they couldn't come out again. We would have to contact someone else to look at the dryer. Also we were told their was no warranty on the parts or the service. At the time I visited their store, it was listed on their business cards that they worked on pinball machines, so I was excited I had been looking for awhile. It was listed on their business cards. The business is a local small business so I thought it was a win win. First thing I paid for home a home service call, it's extra. I made the appointment and when the technicians came they spent maybe 3 minutes looking at my machine took pictures and said they would get back in touch with me. Three weeks later I called back because I hadn't heard anything, they said the have to bring the machine to the shop. I should have took that as a warning, but thought I'd give them a chance. I agreed to let them 3 days later they called to tell me the bill was $850 for parts and service. I was happy that it was going to work finally. They said it was an electrical repair, so when the dropped off the machine I paid $750 it left a balance of $105. I said I would pay on the balance on Thursday 2 days away. They turned on the machine and right away there was a humming sound that wasn't there before. I told the tech he said that was due to moving the machine, "it needed to settle" I new better but I said ok, he said it's under warranty so don't worry we will come back if it doesn't go away. I agreed. I played the machine and within 3 days the machine had electrical issues so much so I was able to actually get video of it not working. I was mad so I called them and asked to speak to the owner, they put the service tech that serviced my machine on the phone. He called me cheap and accused me of trying to get out of paying$105. That weekend I went down and paid the balance and again asked for the owner the young lady at the register said I could talk to the service tech, I decided to leave. I called back later again asking for the owner, I was transferred to the service tech. He assured me that they would come back and fix it that was a over a month and a half ago. My machine is a collector item. I have pictures time stamped prior to the repair of every inch of the machine, if you look at the bill, it says $450 for parts, not one electrical piece in the machine was new or different. If they fixed the electrical system you would think they would have fixed it a 100%, I have pictures of electrical(lights) that don't even work. Instead of fixing the electrical issues they bypassed the problem and even stated on the receipt that the switch will be on all time, which means it will eventually short out the transformer. This company prides itself on doing just enough to get by, do not expect them to go the extra mile. They lied and charged me for parts they didn't buy or at least put into my machine. When I contacted them to ask why I was charged that amount of they did not fix the problem. I dropped of my amplifier for my subwoofer with Manny on Monday and agreed to $39 fee to see why it no longer has output. Tuesday Jesse calls me and tells me he can fix it for $60 parts and $60 labor minus the $39 already paid. This is an 18 year old Cerwin Vega that thumps but I can get a new Polk for $99. I chose to stick with the Vega because she's done me well. Friday morning I pick up the amp for $97 dollars and change. I get home with anticipation of my woofer messaging my back and get nothing from the woofer. After 4 trips back and forth to the shop I'm out $140 and still don't have a working subwoofer. If you don't know how to fix the item just tell your customer after you take the $39. I will see if they are going to refund my $97 and change. Will report back. read more

My 75 Sony LED would shut down unexpectedly after 30 minutes of watching tv. My warranty had expired and called Coronado TV and they came the same day to pick up the TV. The estimate was significantly less than what I expected, after replacing the parts the TV was ready in less than a week. The staff was courteous and informative at all stages; initially, provided an update once the problem was found, and in the delivery, they also reconnect all the wires to the TV. read more

This is not a good place of business. I took a record player in for repair because the records were turning too slowly and the sound was warped. They told me it was $40 dollars for them to inspect it, and then they would give me a quote for fixing it. They told me it had a bad motor and that it would be an additional $50 dollars to replace it, plus labor. I paid, took the player home, and it didn't work at all. When I took it back they said a band had fallen off and that was the problem. But then after testing a record on it in the store, it had the same problem I initially took it in for. They then said that the type of record player I have is low quality and that it's too complicated to fix a motor for that type of player. So they apparently replaced the motor...with another motor that will not work? They should have told me that it could not be fixed before they charged me $100. lets start this out from the very beginning, i have a Bosch dishwasher that was purchased from lowes in 09 that recently had its pump go out. I figured let's call the lowes service department and go with their recommended service company sadly it was my luck it was this outfit. i schedule my appointment with them on friday june 21 from the hours of 1pm-5pm. friday 5:15 rolls around and no service technician. I called their office to find out why and their reasoning was yes i did have an appointment but they forgot to assign the call to a technician and that they would reschedule for monday. No real apology just well reschedule. My employer isn't the kind of employer that lets you do half days. you either show up or you don't so in the end i had to miss 2 days of work because of these jokers in their office. Monday june 24 rolls around and their service technician shows up. i wish i remember the guys name because he was actually good. he came in ran the machine for 5 minutes and told me it was the pump. he pulled the pump out and ran it dry to show that the pump's motor works with out the weight of water but the second you and water the pump motor slips. cool he was quick, professional and explained what was wrong. He left and told me the office would be calling the next day with a quote. Well a week and half passes by and no call. the technician calls me him self and asked if i still wanted to get it repaired, i replied that i was very much interested in getting it repaired but no one ever called me back, he seemed a little upset by the fact that the office didn't even bother following up on call and promised me he would order the part as soon as we hung up and to be expecting a call by the end of the week to schedule the install. The week ends and no call until the following monday when the office calls me in the morning to let me know some one is on the way to install pump, luckily it was my day off. The guy shows up with a dolly to pick up machine because he was told it was a pick up call and not a service call so there for did not have the pump on hand to replace the bad one. he takes my dishwasher and drives off. no lets roll over to yesterday when i got a call from the office asking if i was home because my machine is ready and a guy is on his way to my house. i never scheduled they just decided i would be free and they could just show up unannounced. i told i was not available and would have to be done today. Here comes the grand finale they just dropped off my washer. exciting right. i mean they literally just dropped it off. they did not reinstall the washer they pulled out from kitchen. when i asked why they couldn't install it i was told by the guys who brought it that they where tv repair guy and weren't sure how install it. fair enough its not your field of work totally understand,but why would you send a tv repair technician to deliver and install a dishwasher that in no way shape or form is like a tv? in the end I lost 400 in wages from work and 200 in repairs. Am i pissed off, you bet so my advice for you to STAY AWAY from these clowns. You'll have better results if you picked a guy up from the home depot parking lot or taking it to Juarez. They were scheduled from 1-5 to service my dishwasher. I don't get off of work until 2pm. Lady from Coronado called and said they could only make it from 1-2 because the repairman had to be back in the westside before 3. Instead of remedying the situation, she said "We'll just cancel the service, we actually don't do that many calls on the east side of town, it's too far". Wow great customer service! Absolutely the worst business to deal with!!!!!! I brought in my CD changer and spoke with service tech Jesse and agreed he would charge me $30.00 down to fix the CD changer and this charge would carry towards the quoted price if they fixed the CD changer, but I would lose the down fee if I didn't have them fix it. I agreed and paid the $30.00 down fee/payment. The following day, Jesse quoted me it would cost a total of $162 to fix the CD changer and my already paid $30.00 would go towards the $162 charge. 3 months later, I received a call from Jesse stating they couldn't fix the CD changer and I could stop by to pick it up and pick up my refund check. I entered their store and Jesse gave me a $111 check and my (not working) CD changer. I questioned where the rest of the money was that I had already paid and he stated, "I am only giving you the check of $111.00 because I am now going to charge you a $39.00 estimate fee instead of the $30.00 down payment and I'm keeping the $12 taxes that I quoted. I immediately asked to speak with the owner and Jesse kept telling me he was not going to tell me his name, but to call back and ask for "The Boss". I then told Jesse he still owed me the $39 and he replied "I am now charging you $39.00 estimate fee instead of the $30.00 that was quoted because the changer didn't get fixed". I replied that you (Jesse) told me at the beginning this fee would be charged only if I didn't agree for them to fix the CD changer, but in this case, they (the business) were the ones that told me to come by and pick up the not working CD changer. Then Jesse stated if I wanted them to fix the CD changer, I would have to pay $200 to have him fix it or I could buy another changer they had in the back room that works. I told Jesse that their website says "Free No-Cost Estimate", and he replied, "I don't care what the website says, I'm telling you I am keeping your estimate fee!" I called and finally spoke to the owner Manny Manzanares which stated he will talk with the bookkeeper to see if they can refund our $39 and to wait a few days. Two days later I called and spoke with Manny and he became very upset because I called back too soon. Manny started to express that he is very busy and things are not going well and I needed to understand that he didn't have time to resolve my issue, on and on about why he didn't reply to my request of my refund. Manny shouted out that when he said he needs a few days, this means 3 days and not 2 days. Now I need to call him back in 3 more days and to start over on the 3 days he needed. He shouted "You're a horrible person because you tried to explain it again that Jesse was the one who pulled out of this deal!" Manny became unglued and shouted "You don't have a life because you don't give me the time to get things done because you called too much!" He continued shouting at me telling me "I would have called the police the day you came by to pick up the CD changer because you were creating a scene and became very violent when Jesse told you to get out of his business!" I informed Manny that I am not a violent or aggressive person, but it was his staff that were the ones that became aggressive when Jesse snatched the receipt out of my hand and keeping my money on a service that was not completed. Three days later, I again called and spoke with Manny when he again got upset and told me not to call back and stated "You don't have a life because you're very selfish because all you want is to get $39 back! I feel sad for you and I wish I could help you! I know you don't have anything else to do but to keep bugging us! I already refunded most of your money! This company supposedly is set up to "fix" appliances like our refrigerator but let me promise you, they don't. They will take their sweet time, cut you short on the phone, argue with you about why its justified they gauged, scratched and dented your expensive appliance, they won't follow up with you and they are liars! I have been without my LG fridge for almost 1 month and I'm 6 months pregnant. Can you imagine what it is like to have no fridge in your house for that long? We have spent a fortune going out to eat because we don't have the luxury of cold food in our home, especially trying to maintain a healthy pregnancy. I went to Home Depot and explained what happened to the store manager and he immediately gave me an even exchange for my fridge and said he would take it up with Coronado because I have already been through way too much and should have never been treated like that. I will finally get my new fridge tomorrow, after 28 days this will finally be over. In the process of all this I have spent hours on the phone with Home Depot warranty and LG of America and they both agreed that Coronado is at fault you should never put a fridge on its back, it should have never left our home. Coronado lied and said it wouldn't hurt the fridge's compressor but that was a lie! They further damaged it and told me they wouldn't order a compressor, I only needed a sensor. Home Depot's warranty company did not want to exchange my fridge because they were pinching their pennies and did not want to write my fridge off, I was at their mercy until I went face to face with the store manager and he understood how unethical Coronado was treating our family. CORONADO HAS STRAIGHT UP LIED TO US, ARGUED WITH ME IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE, LAUGHED AT ME, NO FOLLOW UP. THEY HAVE GAUGED, SCRATCHED, DENTED AND NOT ORDERED THE PARTS THEY NEEDED TO FIX THE FRIDGE. He did what needed to be done explained what he did and then went about his way. Gil's appearance was very professional, clean and his mannerisms and knowledge of what he services was superb. Our TV went out & my husband took it in so they could fix it, while there, they offered him a TV they were selling and plus they offered a $50 credit towards that TV if he gave them the one he took to get fixed. Their TV was $300 so we paid $250 since we had the $50 credit from leaving our TV. The "new" TV had a warranty of 90 days. After 2 months, the TV started getting darker and darker on half of the screen while the rest was fine so we took it back and they said they would fix it. After 5 days, we picked it up and it worked for a day, and then it just got even worse!!! We took it back and after 3 weeks of them having it, they said they could not fix it. And since they do not give out refunds, they said they could give us another TV but since they didn't have the same size, they could only give us a smaller one (7" less). And it had less value. So they promised that to make up for the price difference they would give us 180 days warranty on that one. They could not give us the TV right away because they had to order a stand for it. So we picked it up 2 days later. When my husband got there, the owner said they could not give us the 180 days warranty & would only do 90!!! So we ended up with a cheaper TV than what we paid for!!!!! NEVER going back to that business. You would be better off just buying a new TV, which we should have done in the first place!!!!!! WORST COMPANY EVER!!! Save your money! They will over charge you & not fix the issue. We took a TV to have it fixed since the manufacturers warranty had expire a couple of months prior. They charged us $250 and when we got the TV back it was in worst condition than when we took it in!!! Originally we had an isse with picture but now it wouldnt even turn on! We called it and they said they would fix it again so we had to take it in. We got it back after a few weeks because they couldn't find a way to fix what they screwed up!! After the second time, the TV worked de about 2 days and the issue THEY CAUSED returned. Again they said they would fix it but after 3 days claimed they could not do it but they couldn't refund what we paid either!!! So we are left with a TV that is useless now & they kept the money!!! After several year of using Coronado TV, my suggestion would be the following; - Technically are with in Acceptable range - Improve Customer Service (answering phone calls, update on service status, and so on...) - Meet date committed. If you promise the service on a specific date, you should have the service done so - Review your cost ($$$). Absolutely the worst business experience I have ever had. They have no customer service or people skills. They changed me $ 89 to pick up and look at my Sony XRB 65 930D. They then told me it would be over $400 to fix. I said no thanks bring it back. Then they said they could get a furbished part for less but would only guarantee for 90 days. No thanks bring it back. I called 30 min after they did not show up as agreed upon. They told me there was an emergency and I would have to reschedule. Poor communication, I had to call them, or probably would have been sitting there all day. Then Manny the technician said he would talk to Jesse the manager to see if they could work something out for my troubles with the price to fix the TV. The new special deal was the old special deal with the refurbished part. I told him no thanks bring it back. Then Manny next wheel and deal was that they would give me credit for my 2016 XRB65X930D Sonly to purchase a TV that they had in their shop. The credit was only $100. So I paid $ 89 to pick up my TV which means they would be paying me $11 for my TV in order to buy one of their used TV in the shop. They make Used Cars Salesman look like angels. No thank you, again scheduled to have them bring it back at an agreed time. I got the feeling that they thought I would go along with their deal making and that they really did not want to bring the tv back with out making more money off of me. They show up 45 min late. They drove from the Westside of Town to the Eastside in their truck with my TV laying down in the back of the old pickup not tied down or covered just bouncing around. I have video and pictures of all this. The stand is broken now and missing screws. I marked it on the invoice and took a picture. They also make cable companies look top notch. I should have read the reviews. They say they have been in business for over 40 years. If you look at their Texas Sales permit it's states they started in 2017 Business May have been sold recently. By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They were called in the first time to repair my washer, instead they cleaned the filter and charged me for that and the consultation. So when I got home and my brother told me the servicemen had said the washer had been fixed I then go to use the washer and it ha s the same error code. So you know I give them the benefit of the doubt and go ahead and follow up with their 60 day warranty on their workmanship. They rescheduled me 3 separate times on late notice wasting not only my time but my and my fathers time. The outcome of the story is the 60 year old man behind the counter who I believe is the owner tells me i have to pay an additional 200 dollars on top of the 150 I already paid to repair my washer. Not only was I outraged at the crap that came out of his mouth, but his rudeness could of got his physical health impaired if you know what I mean. My washer wasn't working and I needed for someone to service it. My friend Lisa suggested Coronado TV & Appliance since she has always used them. So I called them and Gilbert was my technician. He had excellent customer serve and explain everything that he needed to do and why. The price was reasonable and so my washer got fixed. Gilbert did an excellent job on repairing my washer. I used this company many years ago. They were hired to "repair" my Pioneer TV. They were never able to get it fixed properly, they damaged my TV, gave me a lot of excuses along with a bill that got paid, but they never backed their actions. I ended up talking to Many, the owner after months of dealing with them. He gave me the runaround until he one day exploded on me and cussed at me telling me that my issue was not a priority for them because they had real issues with other higher end tvs. He basically told me to go to he** and that he did want to deal with me an more. All this after him billing about $1,800 for the service that never worked. I ended up having an insurance I had for it buying it out from me and reimbursing me my expenses. I have no star "rating" for this business. I'd like to start by saying that I have read the two other reviews on here and the comment of Juan M. of Coronado TV & Appliance, Business Owner. This is my story of my contact and experience with this business and Felicia who I believe is the Office Manager. I called this business on 1-8-14 at 0900 a.m. My purpose for calling was to hire them to install Directv at my mother's home in northeast El Paso, (she is 80 yrs old and tired of Time Warner and their programming). I know I could have called Directv to do the installing, but I wanted to give a local business the opportunity to do it instead of Directv assigning it out to a random contractor. I also wanted a more personal service that could sit with my mom to get her information which is usually a long tedious process that is time consuming and tires her out, especially on the phone. In addition, I was also looking to buy the necessary equipment outright and not have to be on a contract with Directv. This would have allowed Coronado TV to reap the profits of the five receivers that I wanted to buy. So when I phoned in I think it was the owner that answered the phone and I asked him about doing what I have just described. He then asked me to call back in an hour and talk to Felicia about it so she could set up the appt. with my mom. So I call back and I speak to Felicia about it and I explain to her that I myself have a Directv acct. and I own the box I use. Felicia says she does know what Directv policies are but that she will call them to find out and then send someone by to speak to my mom between 3-5 pm and get her pre-qualified. So, it gets to be around 2p.m. and I decide to call back just make sure nothing has changed. A young lady answers the phone and I ask to speak to Felicia and she tells me that Felicia is to to lunch and to call back in 40 minutes. She then asks for my name and number, I give her may name and I tell her that Felicia got my number and address earlier. I tell her that I will call back and I hang up. After 45 minutes I call back and the same young lady answers and I ask for Felicia, Now Felicia is on another line but the young lady states that Felicia says that they have decided not to do the job because my mom is 80 yrs. old and they do not want to sit with her to get her information yet I cannot give it to them because they want it from her. In other words, they want my mom to come to them and apply in person. So I tell the young lady that I will wait to talk to Felicia and she abruptly hangs up on me. Now I am in disbelief. I am a proud hispanic who was born and raised in El Paso and I am fully aware of the "Siesta Mentality" here. I have no qualms with poor customer service outfits because I just figure I will spend my earned money with people who understand the premise of "Earning". But my shock is because I actually was very nice in my earlier conversations with Felicia and I was very tolerant in calling back three times. So I called back again and this time I guess the caller ID prompted Felicia to answer up. Felicia did the ol' "I'm sorry I did not call you earlier but I misplaced your number" routine. So to confirm what I heard earlier I asked Felicia to repeat the excuse. Felicia stated this "I spoke to the Owner and it was his decision that he did not want to deal with a 80 year old lady and Directv to find out if you can buy the receivers". Whoever reads this, I can assure you that I have no reason at all to lie about any of this. What this business is doing is what many El Paso business owners do. They want to make EASY money, They do not want to EARN their money. I will give this business this credit, They are LAZY and they admit it. There is NO semblance of honor or true customer value and or service. Juan M. of Coronado TV, if your are the owner, then PLEASE by all means, explain this one. You can cite your awards from the unknown NESDA and any other accolades you wish. But here is my thought for you and your business. You will always be a nickel and dime service as long as you act like one, El Paso is full of them, and then they complain that can't make money. You are right in there with them along with your lazy employee Felicia. I will be calling Directv for the service and if they want to send your bunch out to install it, I'm going to let them, You probably won't know the difference. Worst service ever encountered. We scheduled an appointment to have a TV mount installed. The owner and his "helper" came out. They installed the mount however did so incorrectly. When we questioned the installation and requested it be fixed, the OWNER stated that he did not have time to fix it because he had scheduled other appointments that he had to get to and only allotted so much time for my appointment. As a result, we had to have someone else come out and fix the errors they made and complete the installation. LOSERS! Don't waste your money with this place. It's pretty PATHETIC when an owner won't even finish the job he was hired to do and the part that he did do was wrong!! read more
