I went in today (windshield for F-350) expensive but quick service, BUT Techna Glass would guarantee against breakage for x days but more important-- fix rock chips for FREE. I stopped into the Draper location and purchased a lifetime chip repair membership. They were very helpful and quick to get the work done. It was a pleasure to not have to wait around and deal with cranky staff which has been my experience in the past. I will make sure to come back to this location for my next visit. read more

I worked with a Doug. I started in December and was quoted online for $164 to get my windshield replaced. I thought it was a decent price. Then I noticed it never came out of my account, I called in January and they reported they had no record of the transaction. I then asked what I should do, and they said they would get back to me. They then contact me in February for my late payment which I paid, but they had the wrong card number, when they had made a copy of the card at the very beginning. Finally in March they did the correct payment, however in April they called and said that it had not been done. After I sent them a copy of my bank statement they finally gave up. I am not sure why I had a bad experience, I have used them with rock chip repairs before and they have been great. Summary, the online service turns out to be a scam. Don't do it. read more

Techna Glass is a great company. HOWEVER, THIS LOCATION IS INCOMPETENT! First Occasion: Fiance goes in to get a rock chip repaired immediately after it happened. They took a really long time to be able to get to him while he was next in line and the crack split larger. No worries, Techna Glass was great by repairing the crack for free! That's nice of them! Second Occasion: Well, They didn't do a good job at repairing the crack and sealing it off well because it continued to grow throughout the windshield. So we go back in and they repair it for free and say that instead of needing to pay the $600-ish dollars to replace it they would allow us to replace it for $200. Well, okay... We now have to spend $200 because you couldn't do your job right the first time. It should be that you replace it for free since it won't pass safety and emissions and that the original crack (even with the grown length from the first encounter) would have been perfectly fine to pass safety and emissions. Third Encounter: We have the car registration due and we went to get the windshield replaced for the $200. Well they accidentally broke off the rear view mirror. My fiance goes back to get it put back on when they told him they would have it in by and they do not have it! His registration is due in 3 days and he has to take his car into the shop the next day for a cosmetic auto repair. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? They don't even know when it will be in now. Yeah, we're gluing the damn thing back on because its not worth going to this location (and we have to return to this location since they are the ones who keep screwing everything up.) So, 2 stars because they helped compensate prices (but in my opinion they should have comped the windshield completely) and because none of the workers at this location should actually be doing this job. read more

Absolutely fantastic work and customer service. I came in on a Saturday to have a six inch rock chip crack repaired. They were able to drill it but didn't want to fill it because the crack was waterlogged. I returned the following Monday with a dry windshield and they immediately added the resin. The repair looks great (you barely see it) and both technicians were very knowledgeable, helpful, and great to work with. This will be our windshield repair spot for sure. read more

Worst customer service ever! Made an appointment online one week in advance. Came in early on a Saturday morning for my appointment and they looked annoyed that I had walked in. Asked what I needed, when I told them I had an appointment they said "that's impossible." When I showed them my confirmation email, they replied very rudely, "did you make the appointment online? These guys suck, I took my new Prius in to get a chip repaired. They attempted to fill a chip they had already repaired and cracked the window. I emailed the owner Troy (Twice). He never even responded. They quoted me a new window after refusing any responsibility for the breakage at a higher price than the price on their website. I had 2 small rock chips repaired, now while it would have been customer friendly to fix both for 1 low price, I was charged $29 for the first one and an additional $15 for the second. Ordered a windshield for my car at this location since apparently my cracked windshield that passed safety by the state of Utah last year didn't pass this year (even though it has not grown). Anyways I drove up to Draper risking a ticket for expired registration, and waited about 45 minutes before being notified that they don't even have my windshield in. Tried to be understanding, and just remarked my appointment for today (1/16/15). Called them today to see if they had received my windshield and sure enough they did. I had my windshield replaced by this company and there was a workmanship error in laying the windshield down causing there to be a gap. This made a whistling noise and allowed water into my vehicle. I called and made an appointment with them to come to my work and fix it. They never called or showed up. I called and rescheduled for a different day, ANOTHER no call no show. I called and they told me that they shouldn't have scheduled a car side service because they only fix this type of thing in store. So I made an appointment to take my car in and when I got there they told me I did not have an appointment. I got frustrated and told them they need to fix it that day, they "found" my appointment and fixed it. When I left my windshield wiper fluid hose had been cut. Now I am having to pay $80 to get that replaced. I wish I had never gotten my windshield through this company. read more

I called Technaglass a couple of weeks ago. Spent approx 15-20 minutes in the phone giving the gentleman my information, car information. He even called my insurance company to verify the coverage. He told me he would call me the following Tuesday and I would have to go to the Orem location to get the Calibration done on my car. I never received a call and called them yesterday. They did not have any of my information in their system and could not look me up by name, phone number. They put me on a long hold and I hung up. I rarely post negative reviews but the purpose of this one is in hopes they get their operation together. I had to settle for Safelite and I did not want to use a national chain but I had to get my windshield repaired and get some follow up. read more

Apparently my time doesn't matter! I made an appointment that was confirmed with a phone call the week prior. My appointment was at 11:00am. At 11:45 they said my window replacement had not arrived. I wondered what the point was of making an appointment. They said they couldn't get a hold of the delivery guy so they sent one of their guys to go pick it up. I waited another 45 minutes (in a non-airconditioned room) before my window arrived. The total time was almost 2 hours. When I paid, they didn't have the right change and the girl had a hard time figuring it out. It was a very unprofessional environment. My family has been going to this location for many years, we bought a lifetime rock chip repair for our windshield. We had a small crack in the windshield for 6 years and they helped seal it and repaired our rock chips. Today I went in and there were 2 younger boys at the shop. They were extremely unprofessional and not friendly at all. They said it was against the "law" for them to touch my windshield. When I asked why, they couldn't give me an answer. Caught a rock in my windshield and then on the same day went to adjust my rear view mirror and it came off with a piece of the windshield attached. Off to Techna Glass I went. Went in and was greeted warmly by Destinee at the front desk. Told her my issue and she said she'd have a tech look at it. The tech, John came out and checked it and confirmed I needed a windshield. Unfortunately they didn't have my model in stock so they had to order one and said I'd have to come back in a day or so to have it installed. No problem. I told Destinee I'd like to go through my insurance so she took all the info called the insurance (on her own phone as their phones weren't working) waited forever for them to take care of everything and scheduled me to come back for the install. Several other customers walked in and she handled everyone with professionalism and a smile. Came back today for the install and was once again treated very well by Destinee and John. Quite impressed with their service especially since I found out Destinee only started working there on Monday! I'll definitely return for any auto glass issues read more

This place is horrible! I booked a replacement windshield service online. The website gives you a price for the service. Shortly, Kirsten calls and tells me the price will be higher because the website didn't include the molding. When the technician shows up, his price is $100 more, which I said no to. After we get the pricing agreed to, the tech says he doesn't have all the parts he needs and can't do the work. Someone will come back the next day. Kirsten calls again and asks to schedule the work in two days so they have time to get the parts. Ok, fine. The tech comes in one day when i am not home and no one shows up on day 2. Raised the price twice, showed up without the parts they needed, didn't show up on the correct day for the rescheduled appointment. This place has horrible customer service and doesn't know what they are doing. I do not recommend the business. read more

The side trim on both sides of the windshield are missing. Broken glass was on the dashboard, seats and floor. Black epoxy is now stuck to my hood. Small pieces of ripped up rubber were all over my car. I would definitely not recommend using this Techna Glass. This was done on 4/19/16. read more

WOMEN BEWARE!!! I have used Techna Glass many times in the past with no issue. It was for this reason I thought it would be safe to send my wife in by herself to get her windshield replaced. BIG mistake! When she called me after it was done and told me how much it cost I was floored. Double what I have ever paid there. In looking at her invoice she was charged for several items that she did not need. A heated windshield for one. Her car doesn't even have a heated windshield!! I immediately called Techna Glass to see what was up. Matt at the main office couldn't have been less help! He admitted that there was added molding and the heated windshield on her invoice that she didn't need but that because she had signed the invoice it was "out of his hands". He told me "You shouldn't have let her handle it. That's why we don't let them drive our cars because they don't know what they're doing and the car wont come back the same". Couldnt believe what i was hearing. So wish I had recorded it. Offered me a significant discount on my next windshield replacement. Seriously! As if there will EVER be a next time!!! read more

Also, I've been hearing a rattling in the driver door since I bought the car. I first went into this location in November, I bought a truck The windshield trim was loose. They put a new trim on and sent me on my way. The trim came loose and the windshield started to leak. Techna Glass did not install this windshield so this was not their fault. I took the truck back to them and they said they would need to remove the windshield and re seal it, if they broke it while removing it I would have to replace the windshield at my cost. I know removing the windshield is risky so I had them proceed. They broke the windshield while removing it so I paid for a new windshield. the leak was now gone. However while they were cutting the windshield out with a sawzall they cut my headliner, they didn't mention that when I picked it up. I noticed it a few days later. After a few weeks I got a rock chip in the windshield and took it in to talk to them about the headliner and get the rock chip repaired, per their warranty it is free and done in 20 minutes I believe. The gal that was working at the front desk went in the shop area to ask how long the repair would take, there was obviously an argument. She came out and very rudely said she had no idea how long it would take because the employees in the shop would not give her an answer. Not feeling good about the experience I walked out and called the customer care line. The person on the line was very polite and promised to have a manager call back. So i waited and waited and the manager never called back. Since Troy Mason talks about customer service so passionately I thought it was an oversight on their part and called back and explained the situation again. Once again I got the same result. I can only assume now that what Troy touts is only words to get your business. It appears the only thing he is truly passionate about is taking your money and does not care about the customer after the sale. Its kind of crazy because a windshield is something that gets replaced every few years. I had to replace a windshield in my other car, so I went to Safelite in Sandy. I recieved good service there and they didn't cut my headliner. I will have them repair the rock chip in my truck and stay away from Techna Glass. read more
