They basically stole my car and held it hostage. I was in a car accident at 105th and Cicero. Someone hit my driver sided by going thru a red light. Oak Lawn has a contract with them (so does Justice). I asked the tow driver to take my car to Mancari's on 95th just east of Cicero. I would meet them there so I could pay for the tow and give my key in to get my car fixed. They never showed up. They took my car back to their shop for several reasons. One they charge way more than other tow places. $190.00 $50 for a wench because they said they didn't have my key. They didn't need it. $50 per day that they wouldn't release my car. $50 clean up fee for the road. $50 for village release for Oak Lawn a kickback.. DO NOT EVER TAKE A TOW FROM A TOWNSHIP IF YOU HAVE AN ACCIDENT. CALL YOUR OWN TOW TRUCK. Find a reliable and honest place and keep their phone number in your cell contacts. They told me cash or credit card and then wouldn't take my credit card. They said it was CASH ONLY. They called Justice police on me because I wouldn't get out of their garage. We had a tow truck there and they wouldn't take my payment. State farm was willing to make a payment over the phone and they wouldn't take it because it was after 5. Such a$$h&*%$ I am going to go to Oak Lawn Police department to find out what their contract reads if not I will file a FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT TO GET THE INFORMATION. If this doesn't match there is going to be a problem. Finally on Friday evening we received a call that my car is at Mancari's thanks to my Statefarm Insurance for handling this. Please beware of this if you get in and accident. E&R Towing is wonderful. They have 2 offices and will dispatch from either. One in Aurora and one in Markham. I called to find out if I had called how much it would have cost and John told me $90. They just raised their prices from $75 to $90 the beginning of the year. Still it would have cost $90 plus .30 per mile. STILL WOULD HAVE BEEN A HELL OF A LOT CHEAPER THAN $600 AND WOULD HAVE BEEN WHERE I WANTED IT TO GO. I would recommend this place to anyone!!! I was involved in an accident where the other driver blew a red light and hit me. Technicraft came highly recommended by a friend and her husband so I decided to check them out. I am so glad I did. I live way up north and Olivia arranged to have my car picked up from my home and taken all the way back to their shop. I was always kept in the loop as to the status of repairs and when it was done, they called me and offered to bring it back to me on one of their tow trucks free of charge. I felt guilty accepting that considering all they had done for me and how well the staff treated me so I decided to pick my vehicle up. All together a great experience in a situation that can be stressful and inconvenient. From pick up to pick up these guys were awesome and my car looks better than new! Belmont I read your review. And you are correct they do poor work. And try passing it on as quality one. They try fixing broken parts instead replacing them to save a couple dollars.In 2015 i head them work on my car they had to repaint my hood 2 times and i still don't like it.They don't use original paint they mix there own.Now every time I dry my car after washing it i see the imperfection and drives me crazy(just washed my car). They did not replace parts for my fender-well that was damaged, instead they glued it together and put tar on it so it would be not be visible. My car had 3000 miles on it was brand new and I am a person of detail. Bracket for the light was damaged thy wanted to bang it out when it needed replacement the list goes on and on. They did a great job fixing my bumper and quarter panel after an accident. Paint matched great and even put me in one of their BMW loaners while my car was down! The headlights were a little off set (which I didn't notice until later the night I picked up the car) but I stopped back in the next day and they straightened them out right away for me. I didn't realize how easy it was otherwise I would have done it myself! My car was a mess and just dirty inside from normal everyday use and I got it back fully detailed. Nice touch to go above and beyond what many other shops dont do because they don't get paid for it. Getting into a car accident sucks...Technicraft definitely made it suck less. I'll definitely use them again if I ever find myself in a bind like that again! read more

I have been taking all my cars to Technicraft for the past 15 years or so and always received great costumer service. Technicraft always responds to phone calls not like other shops that I know in the area. Every time I took my car for a repair after a collision they took care of the estimate and talked to my insurance so it was hassle free. After the car was repaired it looked better than before the collision so I will never go to another shop period. Last time I was involved in a collision I called technicraft right away and they towed my car to their shop within minutes, and the same day I drove off with a BMW loaner from TechniCraft and it was on the house. My family has used Technicraft on a couple occasions. I have to say they are professional, polite, very customer service, and very detailed. I stress the detailed because I brought my car in to have a side mirror repaired. It tool all of 20 min to replace it, but because I came in early and no one was there they offered to detail my car for free., So I waited a bit longer, and came out with my car repaired, clean and when I went to drive away a gift bag sitting in my passenger seat. It was a thank you card, and coffee mug. These type of extra steps a company does goes a long way. Unfortunately again I have to bring my car in. To my surprise they offered me a free rental. This save me time and less money out of my pocket. They continue to surprise me. read more

Beware. Substandard repairs cutting corners trying to save costs. In 2015 had a small fender bender the most expansive thing was the head light. Fender replaced, fender well glued and tared yes they used tar to cover it up on a new car .Cost of new one 50$ Replaced the light with a defective one. Paint job repainted the hood twice still bad.Every time I wash the car I see it and it drives me nuts(Just washed the car). Paint has blue and red specs in it, the car is silver.List goes on and on with the paint job. After two years after the repairs I just stumbled on another review from Harold Jr.H. I was in a terrible accident two days ago in Oak Lawn. My Chevrolet pick up truck was completely demolished. It was the scariest experience of my life. I didn't know what to do and how I was going to go to work the next day. Matt the tow truck driver from TechniCraft could not have been more helpful and nicer. He towed my truck to their yard where they helped me call my insurance company and they set me up with a rental car from Enterprise. Matt waited for me to come back with the rental car and helped me transfer all of my tools from my truck to the rental. Honestly they made me feel better and their employees really cared. read more

I was in an accident and decided to bring my car to Technicraft by the recommendation of a friend. I am very pleased with how they fixed my car! The paint matched great on my red car (that was one thing I was worried about) and the hood got lined up perfectly (which was my second concern when picking up the car). When I called and talked to one of the ladies in the office she was very nice and helpful with all of the questions I had. This company really takes customer service to the next level! I was involved in an accident a month after I bought my brand new car. I was pretty upset. My first new car and it was banged and scratched and not so new looking anymore.
