I was told yes, it's treated as aluminum, but to hold a minute and they'd check for sure. She came back and said yes, she'd checked and it was treated that way. When I got there, I was told that it would be "dirty" aluminum, since there was a piece of plastic at the very top of the ladder, which was bolted on. As a result, it was worth 15 cents/lb rather than 50 cents/lb. Had I been told that when I called, I would have spent 5 minutes unbolting the plastic. As it was, I got almost enough out of it to pay for the gas to get it there. So, just be aware that even if you call with a specific question about a specific item and get an answer, you might get a different answer when you actually get there.

They'll meet you outside and coordinate payment! If you have brass, copper, etc, pull up to the ramada (right before the vehicle scale) and someone will be there to weigh what you have on a smaller scale. Then go to the trailer, coordinate payment. Due to COVID, the city of Phoenix was not offering recycling drop off events so I found this company through an internet search. They take nearly all types of electronics: computers, monitors, radios, DVD players, motors, rechargeable batteries and backup drives, printer cartridges, old power cords, etc. and all for free, but with a small charge for printers, scanners and CRT monitors. I had a scanner/printer that I no longer wanted and that was $5, my monitors, tablets, power cords, were all taken off my hands for free. They also wipe your hard drives. The drop off process was easy, sign a short form in the front office with your contact info and what you are dropping off, pay a fee if needed, then drive around the back and an associate unloads your trunk. They do not have pick up for individuals but do have corporate pickup services. The staff were very friendly and pleasant.

These are both legally mine and I know it's hard to sell converters in particular due to the large amounts of theft here in AZ. Anyways I took them both in and was offered $7 for my converter, I laughed NO WAY. I gave them my exhaust manifold (8lbs of metal) and was given a whopping 32 cents. What a slap in the face , won't be coming back here. Hoping to help a few others who were looking to get some cash because this was a rip off and absolute waste of time.
