I haven't paid for mover in ages and found the search for quality movers overwhelming. Ages ago I used a large competitor that lied and stole my stuff, needless yo say I was less than enthusiastic about trusting another company. Regardless, I took to my local FB group and Pearson came highly recommended on multiple occasions. The two young men were beyond professional, courteous, aware, respectful, they communicated well and timely, I'd say that Pearson Movers customer service completely redeemed my faith in movers, but now I'm partial and bias to them. I can't say it's the cheapest company on the planet, but fair and transparent, so regardless of cost, it's worth every penny without hidden fees or tricks. I'd say I'm pretty satisfied and should I need to move anywhere again, will call Pearson again!!! read more

Seeing all the positive reviews that were on Google was of the factors I utilized when choosing to move with Pearson. They had no Yelp presence, so I registered the business to leave a review. Nate came out and was seemingly a sweetheart. As it turns out, the truth is much different. They don't know what they are doing and despite taking out additional insurance for my move, the insurance company disclaimed, as the damages sustained in the were the result of poor packing and mover error, since items from my move went missing. Since August, I have been pursuing these matters, having conversations with the owner, Jay, who assured me they would cover all the damages and make-up for the missing items, which included parts to two bed sets for my children. That has never happened. Even worse, they have ignored my near weekly phone calls for 3-4 months now, much too cowardly to own up to their fault in the move. They are disgraceful and unilaterally unwillingly to be accountable. You've been warned and this will not end here with a bad review. read more

They moved my partner from 3,000 sq ft to 2,050 sq. It was the worst experience ever. He over paid (almost $7,000) the boys broke furniture, made two big scratches on our brand new floor because they dragged it. Used the bathroom and didn't flush and did pull ups on our hanging storage rack. We're extremely loud joking and laughing. They really took advantage of my guy and wrecked our furniture. even after talking to the boss they didn't care one bit. Said there was nothing he could do. I'm warning you. Pros: On time and under budget. Cons: Inadequate packing, Unprofessional handling, Negligent The packing crew arrived on time and finished early. Maybe that should have been the 1st red flag. I questioned the adequacy of the packing but was assured by the Operations Manager that this was his best crew. On the day of delivery, we open the door on the back of the truck and there is broken glass everywhere. The glass was from my patio table that not properly packed and secured. Instead it was placed on top of the everything in the back of the truck. This was a cross-country move and the driver admitted the truck was leaking but made no effort to switch trucks. Nearly 40 pieces of furniture were damaged during the move. Except for the 4 nights stands and 3 dining chairs, every other piece of wooden furniture was damaged. Every wall-hanging picture either had shattered glass or broken/damaged frames. Lamps were packed in a planter box without protection. Lamp shades were on top of the packed goods in the truck resulting in stains and scuffs. Boxes were packed without protection including a damaged mirror loosely packed with lamp bases (also damaged), a vacuum cleaner, and garage tools. Another box included an unprotected computer monitor that was scratched when packed with hedge clippers, a mini chain saw, other garden tools. I've moved cros-country three other times and this was by far my worse experience. I didn't buy the extra insurance because I expected Pearson to provide a professional service. If after reading this you still decide to use Pearson, buy the extra insurance because they obviously don't care about your household goods. Or, better yet, save your money, give your buddies a couple cases of beer and you'd probably have a better experience. I have no idea why this biz doesn't have 5 stars I've used them over a dozen times for my staging business and they are beyond reliable, reasonably priced and efficient with my moving needs! They do such a good job finding friendly, sweet movers whom are always right on time. I never use really heavy furniture to move and think all should remember they are humans and extraordinarily Heavy items are always a risk to move. I had a terrible experience with this moving company. Not only did they destroy my vanity that is worth over $1200, but their compensation of only $50 was insultingly inadequate. Their lack of professionalism and accountability is appalling. One of the movers was on his phone the whole time and seemed disinterested in the job. It's unbelievable that my husband had to pitch in and help the movers to speed things up. This moving company's lack of efficiency and work ethic is truly disappointing. They should have been capable of handling the job without relying on customers to assist. This experience was a total letdown. I would strongly advise against using their services. On top of that, when I spoke to someone regarding fixing the vanity at least- they stated the only reason they even gave the $50 was because how nice my husband was?? First and foremost- if a customer doesn't buy the insurance does that mean it's okay to break their belongings? And second, I'm not sure which mover you guys spoke with that stated the vanity was comprised already. They weren't even able to dissemble a tv stand, let alone a whole vanity. RESPONSE : First, the fact that he violated privacy tells you what type of business they are (referring to my name). They stole $100.00 and I had to file a claim with my credit card company and a police report for the dollar amount due. BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU HAS A C- FIR THIS COMPANY!! THEY HAVE HAD NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ALL NUMEROUS SIMILAR ISSUES. I am not sure that this company knows how to be honest. I believe their rating says it all More lies. I never had an extra lock on my unit. I couldn't get the key into the lock because it was bent by me before they came. I have no clue where this 90 minutes is coming from. I never asked them to wait and this was confirmed when they listened to the recordings. Oh and the manager at the storage unit looked at her camera and there was never a truck there. And I have seen the camera footage and a truck never appeared. I would ask that they PLEASE post the recordings and call logs. Per management the drivers don't use cell phones when they drive (they do though). I had no personal numbers and never had. And a private number? Really? Not the as I have phone records. Question though: if it's a private number how do they know who was on the line? And numerous number? How is that even possible? I was very calm when attempting to explain to management what was happening. First I mentioned the bolt cutters. I was in interrupted and the person on the other line told me that was a lie and they would never say that. As for "coming to their office". Huh? Why would o do that? And the Mesa police on "standby"? Hmmm, I wish they could provide that service to everyone. Oh wait, they never have provided that service. Dakota really has no clue on how to tell the truth. Let me preface that Pearson is affordable and great at communicating. As for their movers, they need supervision from a tenured mover. The day of pick-up, they damaged 4 different pieces of furniture along with 2 door frames. Never said a word to us. On the unloading day, we saw several different pieces damaged. Allen was great and took proper measures when it came to ensuring items can come into the home by removing doors etc. the other kids they had did not put items together, flipped furniture upside down when they should not have been and did not put pieces together like they said the would. The younger kids were on their cell phones a lot and when you are paying by the hour, this is frustrating. Allen was a work horse and wish he was there on loading day. read more

Collin, Brock and Dalton showed up bright and early, right on schedule, and moved all my heavy furniture for a solid (5) hours with no breaks. They were careful to wrap everything up and took my bed apart and put it back together. Great job! read more

Wow, as you can see by their recent reviews, Pearson Moving is staying true to its level of service. "It's Crap." When I filed my claim for the damages they made to my $4000.0 frig, I outlined several problems, from the level of professionalism to the quality of work they performed. Do NOT hire Pearson's moving. The team of 3 very young movers with minimal experience neglected to take apart my frig correctly, thus damaging my frig in about seven places. At one point, my frig was stuck in the front door for 10 minutes, being pushed and pulled, when I noticed they didn't remove the nub screws left on the frig after they removed the handles; this was plain lazy and sloppy!!! By then, it was too late. The damage was done. Their Services Manager "Logan" told me he'd work with management to make this right and call me back on Monday, April 29th. That day came and went. I noticed a deposit had been made in my account of $200.00 + dollars. Since I'd not formally heard from Logan, I assumed, "Shame on me for doing that." This was for the poor moving services, and there was more to come from the claim I'd submitted for the damages they made. Boy, was I wrong! Not only did I have to track Logan down to get an explanation, but he lied and told me this was all they would do for me after stating he would make this right. I asked for a call from someone with absolute authority and was told I doubt I'll get one. @Kyle Pearson if you read your review, things aren't looking so good; perhaps you should reach out directly to your customers. Update... the movers dented the corner of my stairwell (actually dented the metal underneath the drywall/paint). I reached out to Pearson's and they said they'd give me $5 for paint (when my property management company is charging me quite a bit more of the damage). They then claimed it happened during my move into the property (without seeing the actual damage other than in pictures) and even with evidence of the wall perfectly fine 5 days prior to the move (clearly not a move in issue when I moved in March 2020) they still refuse to refund me for the cost to repair the damage. Pictures posted of damage and screenshots of pictures of the damaged area 5 days prior to the move (clearly not damaged) Also to add to owners response.... I was not notified 48 hours prior to my move I was texted 2 hours after they were already late saying they'd be there at 12 (I was scheduled for 7:30 move in, not 8) and they still did not show up until after 2:30. I wish I could upload photos I took during and after move! They Changed the original contract ( luckily I screenshot everything) because we live in a greedy society. The movers were so incredibly slow , my mother and I had to move our own boxes and furniture. We have cameras in the apartment. And to make matters worse, Pearson moving processed unauthorized transactions! Which I also have records of. Apparently, this is common practice. Sorry, this is so long!! We would give them a negative 10 if we could!! Not sure why it says California, we are in Arizona!! We hired Pearson Moving on a recommendation. The sales staff was professional and very helpful, so we had high hopes for a pain-free move. It started out good but after the first couple of hours, it was obvious to us that they were not in any hurry to get done. It took them over 5.5 hours just to get everything loaded, We only had them move furniture and none of the dressers had drawers in them, except one drawer that wouldn't come out but was empty, plus the cushions (about 10-15) from our outdoor patio set and one large (but empty) gun safe, again this was just get everything loaded. Then they discovered they did not have the tools needed to remove the handles from the refrigerator or to remove the hinges from the front door so that they could get the refrigerator out the door, so we had to go to the hardware store and to our neighbor for the needed tools, which cost us $30 at the hardware store. It took them 2 hours to unload and assemble the beds and put the mirror on one of the dressers, they didn't put the mirror on the other one, just left it against the wall. I had stayed behind at the location we were moving out of to clean so didn't know that the movers did not unwrap any of the chairs or tables, just left them sitting in the middle of the room, and that when they assembled the bed in the guest room they placed it is 4" from the wall and the Master bed is 6 1/2" from the wall. The bed in the guest room is easier to move against the wall but the Master bed needed to be taken apart to be moved due to the supports under it. We had the house we sold painted prior to listing it for sale and the movers had scuffed & dinged several of the walls and doorways in the home we were moving out of as well as in the new build home that we moved into and scratching the front of our refrigerator door. Since we were moving out of a house that was already sold we needed to have the damage at the sold home repaired immediately. The same painters that painted it prior to listing came out on an emergency call and fixed the damage as best they could and gave us a quote on the damage for our new home. Together they are $800, we paid for this out of our pocket. We did contact Pearson movers right away and they sent us a "Claim Form" which we completed in detail with photos of everything, their solution is...that they will provide us with 2 movers for 1 hour???? First, we are already moved and second and most importantly we would NEVER allow this company to enter our home or handle any of our belongings ever again!! read more

The worst, worst, worst moving experience I have ever had. It took them 3 days and 3 trips to deliver 1 truck 1.5 miles. They showed up with two guys after telling me it would be 3. Took them 5 hours to load 2 beds, 1 dining table, 1 out door with chairs and a bunch of boxes. Zero communication. Truck broke down in front of my house at 8 pm blocking my neighbor from getting her car out. No call to me, no note to neighbor, sent a small truck to repack already full truck so it turned into 3 trips in 3 days. The manager Jason who was on the phone with driver refused to talk to me about the situation or possible solutions. Unfortunately I have personally used this company several times and recommended over 30 new customers to them. I have never, as in never had a worse customer service experience and will never recommend them again. The loaders and packers were all amazing. Unfortunately you can tell they are not treated well which would explain the high turnover and lack of basic skills from Mgmt. I spoke to the owner in hopes of finding a solution. Although he listened to the many, many screw ups and the fact that his #1 guy refused to talk to a customer, he defended him and said they bent over backwards. They only one who got bent over was me. $1700 to move one very small house with almost not furniture and zero electronics 1.5 miles. Zero or false communication, 15 missed delivery times , 3 days to get my items back, showed up on delivery 2 with a third of my belongs still not there because they sent a small truck for a packed bigger truck. What could possibly go wrong? Stuff happens but when a " customer service manager" refuses to speak with a customer who has waited three days to go 1.5 miles I have to take my business and referrals and switch to a competent company who has common sense and customer service as a core value. A business that doesn't take any accountability. the company that I originally booked movers with had an emergency with his crew and sent me to these guys as a last minute backup. I should've known better when The guy I talked to on the phone with Pearson was making jabs at the company that just referred him business. When the movers showed up we showed them a pile of blankets and they asked if that's all we had. We said "no, that we had two whole closets full, and to just let us know". They also had plenty of wrap to wrap furniture(which they did with most of it). At the end of the loading we had extra unused blankets and wrap that we took with us in our vehicle. At no time did the movers, or the gentleman on the initial call say anything to the effect of "hey this is a third party semi truck that isn't ideal for moving. with the way this truck is constructed, there's a good chance your things are going to get broken". As a different( and excellent) moving company and crew at our destination unloaded the truck, we came across many belongings that were ruined and/or broken. The crew even kept making comments to how bad the truck was packed and no wonder things were broken. I'm not naive to the fact that when you move a few things may scratch or break, but not wrapping a white headboard is pure neglect. Wedging a block stone table between two tvs, with the edges against the screen of the tv is neglect. We've moved several times and have used the same service with other companies and have never had an experience like this. Even worse is Pearson has completely passed responsibility elsewhere instead of taking accountability for their movers who packed the truck. As a business owner myself I hate writing bad reviews, but when neglect happens and 0 accountability takes place I have no choice. Use extreme caution using these guys. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. I had a move set up for Friday the 12th between 12pm-3pm. I received a call at 2pm telling me they had ran behind because the move before me added on another truck and they wouldn't be able to move me till 6pm or tomorrow. I told them I had to be moved out of my apartment that evening and I worked tomorrow so that didn't work and if the other party changed their needs I shouldn't have my move rearrange because of their mistake. He said he would try to have it done before 6. Not long after he called and offered me the move the next day again but I repeatedly told them I had to be out that day. I said I could try to stay another day and asked to be compensated for the money I would now have to spend to stay longer in my apartment. They told me there was nothing they could do, I asked for the manager and they said I couldn't have his number. I asked him to call me and he never did. The other employee called me back and now said they couldn't move me cause of the storm and I had to do the next day. I had no time to use a different moving company and had already put down a $200 deposit so I stuck with them. I also had to call out of work because the new move time intervened with my work hours costing me more money. Then the next morning my movers didn't show up, I called and their number said they were closed. My roommate was using the same company cause I recommended them to her, so we had her movers call their manager to call me. They never called me but sent a text an hour and 15 minutes after they were suppose to arrive saying they would arrive in 20 minutes, her movers informed me an employee didn't show up so that's why it took so long. But I was never contacted or told this which was unprofessional because I sat around for an hour. I asked for the manager to still contact me and I have yet to receive a phone call from him. I would not recommend this company to anyone because they are unreliable and extremely unprofessional. To your response, there was not a storm when my move was scheduled I was moving stuff on my own down the 101 and it was not flooded. That's also not the reason you guys had told me my move would be rescheduled. I had no time to be refunded and find other movers. Also the movers took three hours the next day and only one man was coming into my apartment to grab boxes when I hired two movers. I actually called it at the three hour mark and moved majority of my own boxes after that because I was already being charged almost $500 and they were taking their time. Your mover also then sent me texts hitting on me which is extremely unprofessional! My first move also took a long time and was expensive which is why I didn't use you guys on my move in between this one and that. I was in an unfortunate situation and on a timeline to get out of my apartment that I was in due to health and safety concerns with the apartment, you guys just happened to be the ones available on the day I need it to be out. They put boxes everywhere but where they were told they go, they assembled our furniture but it was all falling apart because they put it together and didn't tighten stuff down. Once notified them it wasn't a priority that our 6 kids sleep on beds not assemble properly and said they would get to it the next day! They have no intentions to make things right especially after the theft was brought to their attention. Stay as far away from the thieves as possible they will screw you with the support of management and ownership it's sickening! When the theft was brought to there attention they cutoff communication with me and told me to deal with there legal team. This outfit is guilty of everything I stated! Hired Pearson for my 20ish mile move from a 1,000 sq foot condo. I was provided an email document which provided a start time between 9-11 am. Movers arrived at 1:30 pm, 2.5 hours late. I called Pearson to inquire as to their arrival time as no one was calling me to apologize for tardiness I was told they were doing a "BIG JOB" as if I was supposed to understand. I was told they would text me when they were on their way. 2.5 hours later they arrived. Movers left 23 boxes and four dining chairs which they said they could not fit. And these are so called professional movers ?!? The total cost of the move was roughly $800 which I was prepared for. I received zero explanation as to why my belongings were left behind, no apology, no phone call on how to right their wrong ...... nothing!!! the following morning, I called Pearsons several times. finally received a call back. Pearsons advised they could pick remaining items up later that morning, but didn't have a time. Movers showed up approx 215 pm. took two guys over an hour to load 23 boxes and 4 chairs. I began taking items to truck .....it was absolutely ridiculous. I watched one of the movers roll one box out of the home on dolly. One box! Pearson had the audacity to charge my credit card, without my authorization, an additional $495 FOR THEIR MISTAKE! their failure!! Again, no apology, no phone call, nothing! BEWARE!!!!! movers are not timely !! movers are not quick moving !! and movers don't know how to pack a truck !!! read more

Hired after being recommended to us for a move from AZ to TX initially all contact, responsiveness and communication was top notch. Movers showed up and seemed like they knew what they were doing until they placed our new $3000 fridge on the truck and we expressed concern about how it was strapped and it scratches easily etc. Response was we do this all the time nothing to worry about. Truck arrived in TX and when the back door was opened we knew we were in trouble. Fridge doors scratched and gouged and pulled out of alignment by the strapping, parts to master bed not with bed frame but some in a random catch all box and some we found wrapped in a throw blanket and put inside a planter? yeah I know... We did not buy extra insurance so we got $250 for the fridge, cracked chiminea, and floor fan that was destroyed. Since unpacking we also have a completely cracked turn table, completely broken steam mop, gauge in a small cabinet that was not unwrapped until after movers were gone also random wet boxes that had no liquids inside We also now have 2 TVs that we don't have the power cords or remotes to as they were not packed with the TV in the TV boxes. We were told our moving job was the last one and all 3 employees were terminate which does not help us but maybe protect someone else if you take your chances hiring this company. read more

We scheduled our move really 3 days in advance and Pearson Moving accommodated that, plus I started getting text alerts and that was helpful. The best part of the move was our crew - Kaden, Jermey, Sefton, these guys were amazing, professional, polite and were accommodating to our needs. We got done in about 5-6 hours, and the move went peacefully and smoothly without any hiccups or broken pieces etc. They carefully wrapped our big pieces with blankets and cling wrap.
