I don't ever leave reviews, but my experience was so good that saying nothing would be dishonest. Andrew, one of the technicians, spent an entire day helping me diagnose a black screen of death. Business was slow so I guess I got lucky, but he didn't have to put that much effort into helping me, yet he did anyways. Thanks to his help, I was able to narrow the issue down to corrupted drivers, and I met my render deadline in time (practically saved my job). He was kind, genuinely interested in the problem at hand, and did everything he was able to do. I did end up getting a few display port cables, but thanks to his expertise and problem solving skills, I was able to avoid the more expensive troubleshooting options (replacing entire components on my work system). Without his help, I would have missed my deadline, potentially lost my job, and spent several thousand dollars replacing parts that didn't need replacing. Again, I never leave reviews. But in a world of corporations who put the customer last, a small business that puts the customer first deserves every bit of recognition. After reading all the glowing reviews of the Techwindow staff, I guess I could just write "Ditto." All of the technicians--Calvin, Andrew, and Jacob--are wonderful. They are courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. Their prices are very reasonable, and the work is done quickly and correctly. I bought a computer from Techwindow a few years ago, and it is still going strong. Recently, I took my cellphone there, not knowing for sure but hoping that they work on those, too, and it took the tech about two minutes to diagnose and fix the problem--very impressive to this technology-challenged person! Sadly, I had an absolutely horrible experience with Techwindow. If zero stars were an option I would choose it. Having been a small business owner myself, I love doing business with small local companies. Not this one. I took my Macbook Pro to them because I had damaged the screen, and they repaired it for $500. A month later the screen went completed dark. I took it back and they said the video card welded to the hard drive was dead and unrepairable. I am a teacher; I was finishing up the school year and heading to my summer camp job 3 hours away for the whole summer, so I purchased a $400 refurbished computer on the spot. I totally trusted them and did not ask questions or check the computer out (that's on me). I got in my loaded car and put the "new" computer in the computer pouch of my backpack and drove to camp. The next morning, when I opened it at my job, there was a problem with the screen. I called them and sent them a picture expecting them to offer to either swap the computer out or repair it. They said I had damaged it and they could repair it for $200. WTF??!! There was no way I was going to pay them to repair a lemon computer they sold me, but they still had my Macbook because I had asked them to move the data that I needed to an external hard drive, BEFORE I had the screen problem with the computer they sold me. I had to continue to deal with them. Next they told me the external hard drive which I had NO PROBLEMS with prior to dropping it off at Techwindow was "blank," so at that point I had another big problem. ALL of the other very important data already on the external drive I gave them was gone!! While at Techwindow, still trying to get my data from the Macbook, I purchased a $25 thumb drive so I could get my data transferred. I was so ready to drive away from there with the bad screen computer they sold me, my dead Macbook, my dead external hard drive, and the thumb drive. But, believe it or not, my bad experience still wasn't over! I got home and tried to log into the computer they sold me with the bad screen. I could NOT log in! I called them and they said I would have to bring it back so they could figure out what the problem was. NIghtmare!! I paid another local computer repair store $70 to reset the password on the bad screen computer. I swear this is the truth. Many lessons learned. read more

Calvin and team are amazing. I recently purchased a busted MacBook Pro hoping that the issue was just a loose cable. Took it to Apple and they said wow inside is great but screen is done we can fix it for $589 or something close. I called around and got a quote from another business which will just say they have locations all over. Called spoke to Calvin told me he can repair and have it back to me same day. He was not kidding next thing I know get a call and laptop was repaired for 124 that is a huge savings from Apple and cheaper than the other place.
