We jumped off at Centennial Park to poke around the shops and eateries. The streetcar was very clean with everything in perfect condition. The drivers are very polite. You can easily see that safety is their biggest concern. Don't try and distract them while they are driving because they have to stay completely focused. Pedestrians were continuously stepping out in front of the tracks to cross the road. The trolley stops running at 2am and is free.

On December 6th 2025, at 8:57AM, I'm waiting at a bus stop 39 over on Busch Blvd / Busch Plaza. The bus zooms past me as I'm waving my arms to flag them down to stop but they don't. Even after running to the stop after in hopes they'd wait, they again took off without me on there. Bus 39 is a constant headache to have, not being informed they're "out of service " or they'd presume you're a squatter at a bus stop not looking for transportation. The bus driver for today, in particular, was aggressive and non-cooperative to reach ends meet with the people of Tampa. I don't want sympathy & apologies , I need y'all to do better.

TECO Line Streetcar System is located in the heart of Downtown Tampa and travels within a 2.7 mile…read moreradius to Channel District and Ybor City. It's Tampa's historic streetcar. The public transportation is FREE to everyone at this time. They use to charge for this transportation but not sure why it is free at this time. Take advantage of this as it's a cool way to explore the city. Streetcars arrive every 15 minutes so the wait time isn't bad at all. We stayed at the JW Marriott Tampa Water Street and the TECO station was located right out front, Station 10 at Dick Greco Plaza. There are 11 stations total. We ended up going all the way to Station 1 just to scope out the city and see what looked interesting to stop at. We passed so many cool spots including The Florida Aquarium, Amalie Arena, Sparkman Wharf, Cruise Terminals, Centro Ybor and Centennial Park. We took the streetcar back and decided to stop by Sparkman Wharf. Such a cool spot for good eats. The TECO Line Streetcar System is a BOMB!!! The kids loved it. Highly recommend this choice of transportation.

We took the #5 bus straight to Busch Gardens and saved a bundle on parking! It was a 30 minute ride in air conditioned comfort. We did have an issue where our Flamingo veteran's pass did not work and the customer service had a handprinted sign "Be back soon" and we waited, but finally had to catch the bus. Another person in line was in the same boat. One young man eventually did get help adding money to his pass, but by then our bus was leaving! His bike was already loaded on our bus, so I alerted the driver and he stopped and waited a few seconds, just enough for the young man to run over and board. When we got back five hours later the same sign was up and again we waited but no one came back soon. Lots of disappointed folks like us that day. Behind the building a woman in her transit uniform was talking on her phone. I wondered if she was the one taking so many long breaks?

They were fully staffed and there was a staff member directing us each way. They took our luggage at the curb as soon as we arrived and were then directed to go upstairs to the check-in counters. Everyone was helpful. We had another great experience after our cruise. There was a staff member stationed at every checkpoint directing us. Our luggage was waiting for us when we got off the boat and there was no wait. The only delay was waiting for our rideshare to leave the port.

Everything was well organized, getting passengers with disabilities or those that need extra time, to the platform situated first and then the general boarding.
