A resident of Centennial park in Ybor City. Feb, 2024.
    Laura S.

This is a very convenient and fun way to travel between Ybor City, the Channel District, and downtown Tampa. And, did I mention that it's FREE? (Feb, 2024). There are 11 stations, starting at Centennial Park in Ybor City, and ending at the Whiting Street Station in downtown Tampa -- taking about 25 minutes from start to end. (We used the Whiting Street Station to access the Tampa Riverwalk). The trolleys are very frequent, running every 15 minutes in general, and every 12 minutes on Friday-Saturday-Sunday during peak hours (1-9 pm). They also start running early (7 am most days, or 8:30 on Sat and Sun) and end late (11 pm on most days; 2 am on Fri and Sat). The streetcars are well-maintained, and all are wheelchair accessible. Both conductors we encountered were friendly and helpful. We also felt safe on the streetcars, both in the afternoon and in the evening. Overall, a great experience.

What a fun, convenient and economical (free) way to get around and explore downtown Tampa and Ybor. The stops are conveniently located around the city and walkable to many of the city's popular sights and eateries. It also alleviates the constant searching for parking, which can be a little overwhelming.

Great nostalgic streetcars with convenient stops, beautifully designed and impeccably maintained. Free with a streetcar coming by every 12 minutes. Fun way to see Ybor, Arena and Channelside.

This is a great free ride from Ybor City to Tampa. There are quite a few stops to get off, explore and then get back on to keep going... it's also just a nice leisurely ride through a city or two! Very pleasant on a 75° Florida winter day!

Teco good long look at yourself and ask yourself why you're riding the Teco. Me, I did it so I could write this review. Pretty gorgeous streetcar running around Tampa and I like it and I think that everyone, as in every city, should have stuff like this. It makes the town a little bit more of a destination and a little bit more visitable and touristy than it ever used to be.

Streetcars are free? Who's paying for this!?!

Got an event downtown Tampa and parking is expensive, do you love nostalgia, or just feel like riding a streetcar? Teco line streetcar has your back! I like walking around Downtown Tampa but man the parking is nuts, try this alternative. Park in Ybor, download the parkmobile app or hit the kiosk, and choose how long you want to park. Unlike downtown Ybor lets you choose the length of your stay, I usually get 4 hours. I hop on the streetcar and in 30 mins or less I am in downtown. The cars have A/C and they are free! What more could you want from public transportation? Hover cabs? That would be sweet, C'mon Elon make it happen! Do yourself a favor a hop on the streetcar once in your life, it's fun & free.

What a fun way to get around Tampa. My wife and I hopped on the Street car across from our hotel (Marriott Waterside) and took it to Ybor City and back. Enjoyed the ride (though at times the views were less than spectacular) and our driver each way was good and funny. Car was very clean. We took the car also the end point in downtown Tampa and it was interesting how the driver reversed the position of the seats before starting back to Ybor City. Go and enjoy a free ride!

This is so convenient for travel and it comes so frequently. We were able to take it down to Ybor and back. It was safe. It does get full quickly though. The drivers were really nice and helped us get back to our hotel from Ybor because we went the wrong direction first. But he just basically walked to the other side of the tram and headed back that direction which was really neat. My daughter loves riding it. There's partial windows. Then they have metal lines that block the bottom part. It's all wood too. And they have pulleys like the bus to have them stop too. The places you get on at are very bright and well lit. I would definitely utilize it for travel. Especially if you don't want to move your car. The best part is that it's free to use so you don't have to worry about paying for it. The latest it comes back from Ybor on Saturdays is 1 something.

I wanted to visit Ybor city and so the front desk recommended I take the trolley. This is absolutely a great experience if you're visiting the city. First, it's free. There are a number of stops at key places throughout downtown channel Tampa. After my visit to Ybor I got on and rode to a stop, saw a lot of people hanging out and got off. Then got back on and rode to the end. We flip the seats around and go back.

The front desk clerk at the Marriott told us about the TECO Line Street car. She boasted about its convenience, safety and affordability. The best part is that one of the eleven stops is located across the street from our hotel. The streetcar was very comfortable. It's free and I felt completely safe riding it late at night. The streetcars are replicas of the Tampa streetcars that ran from the 1920's to the mid 1940's. They have a little over forty seats and the ability for thirty people to stand. Maps are located at every stop. There is a cord to pull to alert the driver that your stop is coming up. The streetcars are well maintained and very clean. The rivers are polite and friendly.

A great way to check out several different parts of Tampa! We parked near The Florida Aquarium and rode to Ybor City to visit Tampa Bay Brewing Company, then down to Whiting to check out The Wicked Pour. The best part... it's free!

I finally had the opportunity to ride the street car ! , my daughter wanted Starbucks this day and I said why drive let's take the trolley and she lit up with excitement so we did just that and I enjoyed everything about it especially because it's free how convenient can't ask for anything better ! If you haven't already took a ride thru the city be sure to check it out !

I've taken the trolley a couple of times and it is really a treat! It's an adorable and sweet little piece of history. Get on and you're instantly transported to the late 1800s. On one trip, I took the trolly from Ybor to the Amalie Arena to go to a concert. When I got off of at the stop, it was just a short walk to the Amelie Arena. And when the concert was over, we just walked to the trolly stop, waited briefly, and easily made our way back to Centro Ybor.  We avoided the jam-packed traffic while being transported to an earlier time. There are quite a few characters on there too!  Everyone on the trolley, every time I've gone on, has been friendly, smiling, and happy. I've received good customer service. The conductors have been professional. Not overly friendly, but they've all been professional. It's a great way to save money. You can get cheap parking in Centro Ybor and take the trolley to downtown, avoid the high cost of event parking, and enjoy the sites along the way. Raphael was our conductor on one trip and he did a great job giving us a history of Tampa and Ybor city as we rode along. Did you know that the city paid 750k per trolly car to restore each one?! I didn't! It is a slow and leisurely ride. It's very relaxing unless you're in a hurry so don't be in a hurry. : ) The trolley is free on Saturdays too! Take the kids...take out of town guests...get together with your friends and enjoy the ride!

    Enjoying the ride.

The Port of Tampa Bay is unbelievably organized and is perhaps the best place to board/disembark from a cruise ship anywhere. They operate on a staggered boarding process where you claim a time to board days before you leave and are well-staffed and clean. My group of 15 and I were very content with our experience here in mid-March 2026. We had a 10:30am boarding time reserved. Disembarkment is a bit more unorganized than boarding - it ended up being a bit more "open world" vs "linear" getting outta there if we are speaking in video game terminology. Nonetheless, the Port of Tampa Bay is a well-oiled machine and I wouldn't mind if I needed to go through here on any future cruises.

Unfortunately, there was a power outage in the terminal a few hours before our arrival, so the entrance was significantly backed up. Several people who were being dropped off by Uber, got out of their cars and walked their luggage, so that did add to the time. Signage appeared okay, but what's dropping my rating from a 5 to a 4 was we had never been to this port before, nor have we ever sailed on Norwegian before, and we had priority status, which meant we got to go to a different line. Although the employee looked at our documents and knew we were priority, she sent us to the longer line. Someone else came up to us and told us to go to the shorter line. The check in process seemed a little chaotic and disorganized compared to what I have experienced with Disney Cruise Lines in several other ports....so maybe it's more of a cruise line issue vs port issue. Our return was okay; most of the employees were very friendly, but there were a few who seemed to bark out orders to not slow down, to go straight, etc... I understand why, but I had not encountered that in the past. Overall, it was a delight to have under in our drive to our cruise ship

Driver: Bobby Bus:7145…read moreHouston to Austin 4:30 pm bus Extremely Disappointing Experience Our driver, Bobby, was unprofessional and unnecessarily rude. It appears his frustration stems from vehicles briefly stopping behind his parked bus to drop off or pick up passengers. That's understandable--but there's a professional way to address people. My daughter, who is eight months pregnant and considered high-risk, insisted on taking me to my pickup. After we located the bus and set down my luggage, Bobby came storming down the steps to chastise her for parking momentarily behind his vehicle. His tone was loud, condescending, and completely uncalled for. Knowing my daughter's emotional state and wanting to defuse the situation, I calmly told her to move the car--essentially doing what Bobby wanted, just without the hostility. That seemed to upset him even more. My daughter drove off in tears, confused by how aggressively she'd been spoken to. Though Bobby later attempted to apologize, I declined to engage. His concerns could have been addressed directly with me, her mother, without the unnecessary confrontation. To make matters worse, his driving was erratic, and several seatbelts--including mine--were broken. Instead of berating pregnant women, Bobby would do well to focus on the things he can control: driving safely and maintaining a functional bus.

But I wouldn't recommend traveling by train if you are alone, especially if the travel times are not convenient. I traveled from Tampa to Jacksonville on a Sunday evening. The train arrived about 40 minutes late, and because the station is under construction, everyone was lined up at the platform in Florida heat at that time. Not fun. Not enough seating for everyone at the platform. There are no seat reservations for standard seats on this train. If you are traveling in a group, the porters will make sure you are seated together. But if you are traveling alone, you will be at the mercy of chance, and I lost that gamble during the trip. I spent my journey uncomfortable and stressed out. There is a cafe, but I did not go there. I didn't feel comfortable leaving my work computer at my seat unattended, and I didn't want to have to heft my computer bag and purse all the way to the dining car. Thankfully, I had packed a snack, so that sustained me for the 6+ hour journey. There's wifi, but it was not great, and my phone kept switching to using the 5G. The bathroom was pretty foul. I limited my water consumption to avoid using it, but I could smell it from my seat. We started 40 minutes late, but by the time we got to Jacksonville, we were more than an hour behind schedule. That meant I got to Jacksonville after 11pm, which wasn't great as a single female traveler. My employer is headquartered in Jacksonville, and there's no direct flight from Tampa. But based on my experience, I do not think the train is an option. I will have to drive the next time.

TBH...I don't, for the life of me, remember the last time I took the bus to anywhere, and taking the Bigbus Tour in San Francisco last week certainly doesn't count. Heck...for a couple hours on that tour, I traveled around 15 miles for $55.00! The stigma of the usual type of characters that take a bus on long distances is real; I noticed some interesting people that you'd be better off not staring them into their eyes, and I almost met some chill people that due to them missing their flight, had no other option back to Miami for their connecting flight to London the next day. Nonetheless, it was a mixed bag of personalities. For the most part, everyone was pretty relaxed with no issues whatsoever and then men running the bus made sure that if you're out of line, you'd be on the side of the road by yourself; they weren't mean by any measure...just authoritative and you could see that from the onset. For the price of what they charge, $28.00 for a seat on a double decker bus with a couple power outlets and WiFi from Tampa to Miami, you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal anywhere; in fact, you could pay even less if you booked your travel a lot earlier but this was the day before I left so how can you beat this deal? The bus made a couple stops after we left Tampa; the first one was in Ft. Myers and it was a Loves Travel Stop that housed a Wendy's and a Subway; they're also a full convenient store that sells about anything you wish but don't buy that beer as any alcoholic beverages aren't allowed. The stop here was a brief 20 minutes, and soon we were on the way. The second stop was off of Sheridan and 95, just south of T.Y. Park, and the stop here were for travelers looking to de-bus. We finally arrived at the bus terminal that's connected to the MIA Rental Car building that also ties in with Metrorail but at the time we arrived which was around 12:30am, it wasn't running; we were around 15 minutes late as to our proposed time of arrival. Megabus runs across the entire US with connection points all over and it's certainly a great way to travel if you don't want to drive, and flying is out of your budget, or maybe you're trying to stay low key as they don't check your ID upon boarding; you simply show an email with your ticket number and you're on. On the day I traveled, the WiFi was down so for those who solely relied on it, they were probably somewhat bored but oh well, it's still hard to beat this awesome way to travel. Staff of 2 men was friendly...only suggestion I have is to maintain the interior better, ie, windows, and fabrics on seat need to be better cleaned. There was a bathroom on the bus but I didn't use it by choice.

I was delayed 1.5hrs arriving on both my departure AND arrival trips this past weekend. Not because of traffic, road conditions or weather. Because of the terrible drivers! The first driver made us wait at the stop for an extra hour while he called the cops to get multiple passengers escorted off the bus FOR PRETTY MUCH NO REASON other than he thought they were rude. The second driver on the trip back was not well trained and did not have a gps. He missed our exit and drove 20 min north before realizing it was the wrong way. We then sat on the shoulder of I-95 for 45 minutes while he waited for instruction from dispatch. Rather than just turning the bus around. It was horrible. I am writing this review after already attempting to find a resolution with customer service. I called and they would not help me. They kept saying it wasn't their fault because it was traffic and weather (FALSE). Then I emailed Megabus and explained everything in detail. I GOT THE SAME RESPONSE!
