She said maybe we should get more signs out there. Yes that will stop him.... This man in a silver toyota SUV has been going to BayWinds Park every morning feeding 100's of Rock Pigeons! Now the area is infested with RATS! and pigeons! I was walking here everyday between 6 & 7am until the pigeon/rat feeding got underway. I was very angry when I saw what was happening. I yelled to him, Are you feeding these birds? Had to say it twice. He told me it was none of my business. I told him, you are messing with eco-system out here! I said I am reporting you. He drove his SUV right at me, stopped it just in front of me!! I moved to the side and told him we didn't have a rat problem til you started throwing food everywhere!!! He flipped me off and reversed out of there. I've reported him to Foster City Police and Wildlife, Fish & Game, They directed me to Parks & Rec..which has not done anything about it. It's been weeks of this that I know about...very sad and dangerous for this park and the bay wildlife. :( Google says: Pigeon droppings can expose humans to many diseases, including salmonella, Newcastle disease, candidiasis, encephalitis, orthosis, and toxoplasmosis. In addition, they can also carry cryptococcosis, and coccidiodomycosis, which cause meningitis.

Plus it sounds better than Nine Table Toilet Park. But, I guess if you like to sit at a table in the sun and listen to cars and go potty, this is the park for you. Ironically, Baywinds Park has the stellar, sweeping (and quiet) view of the bridge. But no tables or bathroom.

super cute park in foster city! i honestly didn't even know about this (nor did i see it on the…read moremap) until 2 weeks ago when my friend suggested we meet her for a group run. this was an excellent suggestion for a saturday morning for the following reasons: 1. free, easy parking right in the park (can easily find street parking on teal st & beach park blvd if needed) 2. separate men's & women's restrooms (unsure when they open but they were open as of 0700 on a saturday morning) 3. grassy area for picnic, lawn games, or just chilling 4. easy access to the bay trail, the trailhead is just behind the restrooms 5. NOT crowded, at all, despite being a beautiful summer day the view of the bay is absolutely gorgeous and you can also see the san mateo-hayward bridge since this park is practically underneath the bridge. easily accessible from freeways 101 & 92.

The trees form a large covered pathway reminiscent of the arches of a large cathedral. We were there in late summer, on a day when the fog was hugging the shore and creating an eerie atmosphere... it made for a beautiful atmosphere so typical of this shore. Parking wasn't an issue as we were there on a Saturday morning. I imagine this gets busier later in the day.... looks like it might be a very popular spot for picnics. The pathways are well maintained, and you get great access to this unique ecosystem. Make sure you hike to the top of the cliff and walk into the "cypress tree tunnels" to see what I'm talking about... it's a beautiful place.

As with most Bay Area parks, it has a separate area for children 2-5, which I have seen mostly people with babies use because that area is really contained. Also, since the park isn't very big, the area for children over 5 isn't intimidating to smaller children. This is because unlike larger parks, big kids aren't unknowingly running over the little kids while they are playing. This is a good thing if you are trying to keep track of a small child. The structures are so cute. There is a lighthouse and boat, a dolphin decorated slide, a shark, and toward the back of the structure are two walls for climbing - one with a monster on it and the other - well, it is a bit hard to identify (!?!?). It looks like Pinnochio maybe, but that is a little random. It could be just a dancing boy wearing shorts with suspenders and a feather in his cap - which, is still random, hahaha. Anyway, the walls are fun and my daughter climbs right up them and then swings to a rope and pulls herself up onto the structure that way. Man, I wish I could do what she does! There is a small basketball court as well, so I bring my daughter's bike and she takes turns riding her bike all around the black top and then going on the structures and then back to biking. It's great. We are so lucky to have Moss Beach Park nearby!

Trash cans and bathrooms are on site, it's nice for adults to be able to sit back and enjoy while keeping a close eye on their kids. The park is set back a little bit from the street and has trees surrounding it which helps to provide a buffer on a windy day. There is also a hiking/biking trail available here if you want to go on a short hike.

Edgewater Park is one of the nicer parks I've ever been to. The majority of this review will be…read morerelated to the tennis courts since that's where I am! Before I get to that, there is a softball field that is used a lot. My buddy informed me that his employer has a team that plays there. On the weekends there is softball/ little league baseball that plays their games there as well. The outfield is large enough to play soccer. What I find interesting is that it looks to be all turf. I haven't stepped foot into it but looking at it, doesn't look like dirt to me. There is also a really small jungle gym. These have to be the cleanest bathrooms I've ever been to at a park. Typically all park bathrooms are disgusting; like I don't even want to walk through, but these bathrooms are bearable. Parking is all on the street. People will mainly line up on Edgewater, but pro tip, if you park on the opposite side where the homes are, it is easier to find parking there. Finally, these are really nice tennis courts. My only gripe is that they are slanted - like really noticeably - and sometimes the ball will roll onto the other people's court due to inertia. Can be annoying but it is what it is. Overall there are 5 courts; three on one side and two on the other. The side with 3 courts has an isolated court and the other is side by side; the 2 sided court is the same. The courts are kept really well. No cracks and the nets are beautiful. Lighting is where its at. Hands down the brightest lights I've been to at a tennis court. Only downfall I've found is that there are a lot of classes and league play. This as of right now was every Tuesday & Thursday. This park isn't really meant to be used for parties or picnics. There isn't a lot of space for any of that. Pretty much, you play your sport and then go home (or somewhere else). I enjoy going to this park. Especially at night. The lighting for tennis is wondering. Super bright and easy to track the ball.
