I drove around a few blocks to get back to the park and parked in near some picnic tables. Once we finished lunch, we walked the dog around the park. We have a poop bag container attached to each of our leashes, but it was nice that the park had a dispenser. The one thing that was missing was that the water fountain did not have a spigot at doggy level. People were friendly and returned our greetings. Before returning to our vehicle, we took advantage of the restroom which was clean. We noticed as we were leaving that numerous other people were beginning their walks with their dogs at the park.

The playground itself has shade sail things that cover the structure itself. In the snack area, there are adult tables and kid tables and offers a little bit of shade there. Playground: it's not a big playground, but has a nice play structure and swings. Sandbox area. All in all, a nice, quiet park and has easily become one of my favorites to bring the kids.

The parking fee to enter the whole greater park is reasonable especially with all of the things you can do in Coyote Point. One of the cooler playgrounds we have seen, clearly this was really well thought out. Having the 3 story castle really got our daughter excited as soon as she saw it. The dragons to talk through to each other is really unique. Our daughter had a blast playing here and meeting a couple of kids early in the morning. Well maintained park, clean, seems to be a pretty safe spot. As a parent chasing a 4 year old the fencing between the big kids and little kids area was pretty annoying since it lacked gates where I would expect them to be.

According to the fact sheet, this area is 11.2 acres. There's just large amounts of lawn where you can have an isolated picnic, and it's a fairly long stroll for a neighborhood park. It's cool that it runs next to a mini creek, closer to the residential houses. For sports, there are areas for sand volleyball, basketball, tennis (four courts), soccer, and baseball (which looked well maintained, with bleachers). There's a large playground with tanbark and picnic tables. There is an additional covered pavilion (technically you need to contact a city official to reserve this) with picnic tables and small coal barbecue pits, though they looked pretty rusty and dirty. Next to these tables is this amphitheater-like section. Parking is somewhat in a small lot, but there's street parking all over the perimeter that's readily available. The bathroom size is above average, for a neighborhood park. The main park in Foster City is superior, but this park is not bad if you want more seclusion, in some sense. It's right next to a highly trafficked road, but expansive enough to accommodate many parties without bumping into each other.

Parkside is awesome, they have clean bathrooms with a changing room. I can't recall if they have showers? There is a boat launch area...wahoo! Okay now the real talk, because this park is so amazing, parking fills up quickly. Many families come out here for BBQs and to just have their kids play on the playground or in the water. There is a ranger station onsite, they come out once and a while to check on the area. Heck they even manage the water via boat, we were told that we had kayaked into a private waters? We didn't know? Oh well! Despite some challenges, we are in love with this park. It's truly a gem. It's all free, you bring what you need to have fun.
