Brian arrived promptly at 5:30pm as agreed, and over the ensuing five hours, he whipped up a wicked four course meal while we sat back and enjoyed the show. Blackened shrimp with Creole remoloude...finger lickin' good. Jumbo lump crab cake with spiced Dijon lemon vinaigrette...heavenly. Seared baby lamb chops with mascarpone mashed potatoes and rosemary butter cream sauce...saliva inducing. Dark chocolate molten cake with quad berry sauce and lemon vanilla whipped cream...it's so fluffy I'm gonna die! In addition to his ridiculously tasty food, Brian's personality is electric. Talking to a stranger for five hours in your home would normally be awkward, but not with Brian. He had us rolling on the floor laughing with stories from his crazy life and cooking for A-list actors and athletes. He was also very inclusive of us in his cooking...explaining what he was doing all along the way and asking us to taste this and that at each stage of the meal's preparation. We highly recommend Brian for all your cooking and entertaining needs!

I learned awhile back that if i was going to have 3 kids + a busy job I needed to outsource as much…read moreas possible. I also learned that I lack serious talent in the kitchen (as my kids will tell you) so I've always been on a hunt for different meal plan services to make my life easier and tastier. About a year ago I hired Girl And The Kitchen. I had a long intro call with Mila to discuss our likes, dislikes and nutrition goals and then she assigned us a chef based on our needs. We had our first chef for about a month and knew right away it wasn't a good fit. Her food was beyond salty and then one week she "forgot" to cook for us....and that was the end of that. And then Mila introduced us to Christine who has been cooking for us for an entire year now. Her food is really good (think 95% of her meals have been hits over the past year), she's lovely to menu plan with and extremely flexible. We do a combo of her recipes and ones I find that I gave her and all is great. We look forward to her food every Monday and literally eat it for every lunch and dinner for the week. My kids usually start complaining around Wednesday that they are sick of the 3ish entrees/sides she made so I'll usually make them pasta or a frozen meal at that point, but it works really well for my husband and I all week long. This is probably the priciest of the meal services/chefs I've used thru the years, but also the most customized. It costs $95/hr for the private cheffing fee and I ask her to limit it to 3 hours - or tell me ahead of time if it's going to be longer than that. From there there's a service fee, grocery shopping fee and then it's the cost of groceries. They are also willing to do your grocery shopping while there, but I find it easier just to instacart all the snacks and other items we need for the week. Christine drops the food off every Monday. I know many clients prefer the chefs to cook in their house, but I personally like the drop off service since I'm working from home and already feel like i have too many people in my house on a daily basis. You can also use them to cook for private parties. We've done that once for Passover and the food was great, although it was much pricier than takeout from local restaurants so I'll likely save for special occasions in the future. A big thank you to Christine (and Mila) for keeping us well fed each week! Highly recommend for others looking to eat good, healthy food who also don't have time to spend in the kitchen!

Once the menu was selected, the Chef handled the food shopping. Our dinner party consisted of 9 people--5 had steak, 2 had chicken and the other two people chose fish.  The Chef also prepared side dishes of a potato stack, mushrooms, asparagus and green beans.  In addition, we requested appetizers--a charcuterie board and an apricot/maple sausage flatbread.  The appetizers were exceptional and everyone enjoyed them.  The dinner preparation was exceptional---sous chef Jasmine and chef Gerard were able to prepare all dinners in a kitchen he had never seen.   Gerard and Jasmine worked effectively as a team and took time to interact with us answering questions about their work. The meal ended with a strawberry shortcake topped with ice cream and was the perfect desert after our meal.  Chef Gerard and Sous Chef Jasmine cleaned the dishes/kitchen before departing. ChefBnbEats helped make the celebration of a 50th wedding anniversary memorable.  From menu selection, through meal preparation to cleaning, ChefBnbEats delivered an excellent value  which will be fondly remembered by everyone enjoying an expertly prepared dinner by Chef Gerard/Sous Chef Jasmine.

They had given us so much that we figured we would hire an in home chef to cook them a spectacular meal. My sister found Chef Rogers online and we got very lucky. Immediately upon our first conversation Chef Rogers was dropped into exactly what we were looking for, how we wanted things to be, and the quality of the meal that we were looking for. So let's talk about the quality. THE FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE. The meal consisted of tuna carpaccio (AMAZING), burrata (did not try), 45 day aged steak (so excellent) with whipped celery root (INCREDIBLE), and then a butter cake with macerated berries (HEAVENLY). It would be one thing if Chef Rodgers was an incredible chef... which he is but to really be so accommodating about the menu and just such an unbelievably nice guy is why you hire him. He is the total package and you're not going to find a better in home chef in the area.
