This isn't in line with my normal restaurant reviews, but I had a great time with Ted Whitlock towing. I don't think most people have a "good" towing experiences, so to speak, but Ted Whitlock came about as close to good as you can get. Ted answered my call personally, narrowed down my location, and had his tow truck there in just 10 minutes. He was very pleasant and professional throughout the tow process. Ultimately, it took just 5 minutes for my car to be on the truck and heading to its destination. After everything was said and done he sent a receipt for my insurance company, and after my insurance rejected that receipt he was speedy in getting back to me with a new one. I can't speak to how good his pricing is (I don't have experience in tow prices) but I would definitely recommend if you're in the Loganville area and need a tow. read more

Austin came out and moved my 1967 2 ton Ford F600 that was only accessible from the front and it was in a very confined space. He turned my truck around and managed to tow it from the rear. My daughter was stranded with car issues on highway 11 near Monroe,Georgia . An officer came by and helped and he also called Ted Williams wrecker service for help. I appreciate the officer and the wrecker service for coming to her rescue. Be sure the car is carried to where you want it to go and not back to the wrecker service impound yard. There was a communication issue and I had to pay twice to get the car back to my house. I don' t blame the wrecker service as much as I do my daughter who somehow didn't explain where the car needed to be towed. Just a word of caution be sure everyone is on the same page. We sold our 7 Series BMW to a friend who asked us to tow it to his home while he was away. We called AAA and they sub-contracted Ted Whitlock towing for the job. I use the AAA app and it gave me an ETA of 49 minutes. I got a call after about 10 minutes from Caleb with TWT and who advised me he'd be at my house in 5 minutes and he was. The service was impeccable. I was extremely impressed with his professionalism, towing expertise and the way he shared and kept me abreast of what he was doing to ensure the vehicle was safe and in good hands. Very seldom do I rant and rave about stuff but this gentleman was the absolute best. I took his business card and will share it with family and friends if they ever need a tow. I have AAA but gave up after waiting for more than an hour for KAM Towing to even get en route. I called AAA back and after 20 min of waiting for them to find a "back up" tow service we called Ted Whitlock Towing. The wrecker was out to get us in less than 20 minutes. During the snow on 1/17/18 a Ted Whitlock towing crew on Hewatt road in Lilburn was purposely blocking traffic in an attempt to get people stuck. The crew even had a person in a green 4WD Explorer pretending to be stuck on the shoulder so that people had to slow way down to the point where they couldn't start moving again without help. One of the tow crew went from car to car offering a tow to the top of the hill for the low cost of $500 to me and $350 to the next guy (Statewide's fee was $75). Then stated that the police would force us to get a tow from the crew on site at an even higher price. He even said he could force me to make a full payment on their truck if he wanted to. All he got was me laughing in his face. Don't use these crooks under any circumstance. read more

This is just a terrible company to have to do business with. They're not willing to assist other local businesses when problems arise at no fault of their own. Lien holders of vehicles they tow aren't even allowed to inspect vehicles to decide whether or not to recover them when they get towed and stored at the lot. Is there any reason why they have to be so grumpy with lien holders when they didn't have anything to do with the impound of the vehicle? Of course not, but that's what they choose to do anyways. Sad... Lien holders haven't seen these vehicles in months or even years, but instead of being helpful by allowing an inspection (which would obviously be required by the company in order to be allowed to work with the tow company to get it out) they throw a temper tantrum and refuse to allow them to "waste their time" by allowing an agent in the lot for 5 minutes to snap a few pictures and wrote down some details. Instead, they require that you blindly hire a tow truck to remove the vehicle before you've even had the chance to look at it. Would Ted Whitlock Towing purchase a new tow truck without looking at it? Of course not. But they expect lien holders to invest money in vehicles they haven't even had the opportunity to look at. Best part of all, they even say that because they're going to be "stuck with the vehicle", they're going to sell the vehicle to the local scrap yard to help recoup their costs, even though they are fully aware that the vehicle has a lien on it and they haven't sent out any paperwork regarding the impound! Illegal? You betcha! Lien holders: make sure you pray that your vehicles don't get towed by Ted Whitlock Towing. You'll be in for a huge headache if they do. read more
