From the moment I met Richard, the owner, I knew I was in good hands. He is incredibly personable, professional, and truly knowledgeable. I honestly thought my car was beyond repair--it would drive fine one moment, then suddenly lose power and shut off, especially at stop lights. It was an unpredictable and frustrating issue that no one had been able to figure out. But Richard took the time to thoroughly test drive my car and was able to pinpoint the exact problem. That alone gave me so much confidence in his expertise. Not only did he fix the issue, but his pricing was very fair and affordable. What truly set him apart, though, was the care and integrity he showed. A few days after the repair, he personally called to check and make sure everything was still running well. BE AWARE!!! This guy is a hack. Just moved out here needed a new auto shop. He will snake you. Brought in a 2018 BMW 340i for front bumper replacement and sensor repairs. I already had a bumper bought. At first he tells he the total is $3k. I ask for a quote on paper, he refuses. Then at the end he says the total is $6k. When i get the car, all the sensor warning lights are still on. When i look under the car, i see the wires that were damaged were just ziptied to look like they were fixed. When i confront him, he is very avoidant. Asked me to bring the car back after an attempt to avoid responsibility. I will not take the car back to a shop i dont trust. read more

Beware!!!!!! this guy Richie is a cheat scammer and he will talk and talk till he has your business!!! worst of a kind. I took my car in for a front damage light hood ect. He used used parts on my front head lights from another year make and model. I was not able to that problem fixed because he never told me I spent a lot just to get get it right. I finally took it to the dealer however, I am still having problems. with my vechele. I also asked him to program my key controler for my car he messed up my sensor. So I asked him to fix it he declined. I still have that light on he messed it up and never fixed it. Please please don't be another victim. This is completely true as he provided me a breakdown of exactly what he was going to do to fix my car and why it costed what it did. I really appreciated that. I have referred many friends and family here in the past 10 years and think of this place as "my shop" I was referred to the shop by a passing motorist when my car had broken down... because he was so pleased with the services I knew it had to be worth checking into. After visiting multiple auto collision shops that seemed over pricey, I've decided to go with the one directly across the street from me for a couple good reason. First, the price was unbelievable!!! For the work that I needed done and how much he was charging me was a steal. To be honest that had me skeptical. But, the work came out phenomenal. Secondly, as indecisive as I was, the owner Richard took his time explaining the details and even allowed me to take his paint color portfolios folder home so I can make a clear decision on what I wanted. I moved to Atlanta about a year ago with my company! Right before I moved - I leased a new 2017 JEEP Grand Cherokee that I love! My first day of work here in Atlanta - I was coming out of the garage for my office - and I swiped one of the yellow concrete poles as I was leaving the lot. I just moved, just started working at this location and had a tough day and after only having the car for alittle over a month - UGH - it was damaged and I couldn't believe it. It needed body work - after only being less than a month old. But with all the stress of the move and starting my job and trying to make friends here - it was the last thing on my mind. Fast forward a year later - and it still looked terrible. A friend at work introduced me to Richie at Shields Auto Collision who said - ' don't worry - It'll be as good as new ' he was the nicest guy, personable, very interactive with me, answered all my questions, made me feel v comfortable that my JEEP would be back to normal. I dropped it off to him right before the Thanksgiving holiday and he promised it would be done when I returned from PA for the holiday. He called me with an update and the day I picked it up - just perfect! My girl was brand new again, she looked amazing. I can't tell you how wonderful Richie and his team was in fixing my JEEP. I took my car for repair because I hit it and damage the front. The light was broken, the bumper and side was also damaged. Mr. Shields is a very personable and detailed. They are a very busy shop but he will take the time to explain in detail what the issue is and what he will do for your car. He has serviced me and my son"s car very recently and gave understanding of how the dysfunctions of our cars are cause and how to prevent them. On the strength of another review on this site, which was positive, I tried this shop. All I wanted was an oil and transmission fluid change and i expected a $100 bill. They claimed the oilpan was damaged (of course that did not happen there !) and told me I needed a new one, which i reluctantly agreed to, with an expectation of a further $200. They charged me double what other shops wanted for a replacement oilpan, the original work was 60% more than estimated, and on top of this i was charged for 2 unnecessary vehicle flushes and a battery service that was not even delivered. The owner, Ritchie, comes across as a very friendly honest business man and tells you that he will work with you to fix any customer complaint - well in my case, not only did he NOT fix the overbilling (5 times what the original work was estimated), but also did not respond to telephone or letter requests. Maybe some people get good work for a reasonable price here, but my experience is vastly different from that - based upon my venture, I would recommend you get WRITTEN quotes and hold this business to their quote and not allow any extra work/charges that are not previously approved, and get competitive pricing for any work they try to get you to commit to ! read more
