The repair process was handled carefully, and the result was good. The only area for improvement is speed

It was late, we were stuck in a parking garage at 10 PM with no tools, and we trusted their guidance. The mechanic started service around 4 or 5 PM and we didn't leave until 1 AM. We were charged $681 total, including $165 for a diagnostic and the cost/labor for two batteries. The mechanic mentioned we could replace the batteries ourselves to save money, but that really wasn't realistic given the situation we were in. The biggest issue was the lack of communication. For hours, there was no clear diagnostic explanation, and it wasn't until after the batteries were replaced around 10 PM that we were told the issue might be related to a computer system failure. This was not mentioned at all before we replaced the batteries, which made it feel like we were going in circles. After everything was done, we still didn't have a working car, and we were left without any real answers or codes to understand the problem. Eventually, we had to tow the car to Pep Boys, where they diagnosed and fixed the issue for just $177. We feel that this mobile service could've been more transparent and provided clearer communication throughout the process. Given the high cost and lack of results, I'm sharing this review to help others avoid the same frustrating experience. Be sure to ask for clear, up-front diagnostic information and pricing before agreeing to any services

Took my fathers truck in to fix it last summer .It was falling over itself when i drove it home one…read moreday had to floor it just to make it move. they originally said it was probably the fuel screen in the gas tank easy fix. Once there, they said it was the plastic lines in the dash had all been broken decayed etc. they had to clean the motor so they could work on it better. We had a list of things we wanted fix in addition to the original problem. the steering column and power steering pump and starter.easy jobs but id rather pay than do it myself since the truck is already there. close to $3000 spent after a few days we went to pick it up. i followed it home and noticed white smoke out the tail leaving the shop.just figured was burning through oil or whatever they did to fix the issue. few days later i went to drive it to get food and see how it ran.it started doing the same thing as before. couple days later i took my dad to go get food and drive it to test again.i noticed it was way worse and we made it home.i told him to call to get them to pick it up. he called Monday and was told tow would be coming.Since last time the driver had issues in our driveway we had to be home so we could move the truck out to the street this time. Monday and Tuesday no show my father waited both days. Weds he called early and Wayne told him he didn't know anything about it so apparently a employee there is a liar and just all around lazy to not let Wayne or anyone else know. Wayne said to drive it up to him. so we left i could tell following the truck it was getting worse. my father is 75 years old and a veteran with old school ptsd and heart problems the stress is not good for him.i noticed it got real bad when he started blowing through stop signs and got to far ahead of me where i couldn't even see him. when the truck would come to a stop it would turn off or idol so low there was no brakes or steering.(he left his phone at home)so calling him did me no good. thank god the road was blocked off closed and i knew he would turn around and go home.I finally caught up to him closer to home and it was scary to see him driving like that. we wound up driving roughly 52 miles round trip.diesel at 5 dollars a gallon and my car at 4 a gallon.plus an hour wasted time for both of us. soon as we got back he called Wayne. Wayne picked up the phone and my father told him we tryd to make it to the shop and couldn't and he would need to send the tow truck. Wayne rushed my father off the phone saying he was on another call and he'd call the tow guy and hung up. Weds 5pm came and went and no tow truck all day.i called and left a not so nice message saying we expect the tow in the morning this is rediculous. They arrived Thursday. its now been 3 weeks since they picked it up. no phone calls nothing. i called today Robby picked up the phone said Wayne was on vacation and the guy who worked on the truck just returned from vacation. he was out driving it right now and they would call today once they figured it out.what mechanic in history takes 3 weeks vacations and returns the day i call and just happens to be in the truck test driving it. 100% the truck has been sitting with nobody working on it for weeks until i call today. They know they fcked up and misdiagnosed the problem. Then sit on it for 3 weeks without anyone else knowing how to fix it? turned out the injectors were bad on one bank so we had to drop another 2000 on that. we finally got the truck back and guess what still happened. the starter was still doing the same thing(grinding sound). and the ac now doesn't work. called Wayne and of corse he said to bring it back. But my dad has cancer now and has no time between appointments to bring it back up. its apparent that they care more about their corporate accounts than seniors and veterans.instead of getting the tow truck on time they rather risk my fathers life by telling him to drive it up to them. Its alot easier to screw over and lie to a senior knowing they aren't prone to argue or disbelieve them. well lets see how the corporate companies and social media sites like to hear how they treat seniors and veterans. do NOT use this company they are not for the people only them selves. update 4/10/2024 it has been since last summer and i finally got over to the house to look at the truck as it wont start anymore at all.its been a rough year with the chemo treatments but now its remissed:) The starter had 1 bolt 2 turns from falling out and the other 2 bolts were out halfway.....i installed the new starter anyways since i had already paid for it. truck cranks perfect no more grinding sounds unlike the day after getting it back from them. i also found the ac problem was a wire they had disconnected when they were fixing the bank side.now the ac works again. i called Wayne today to voice my displeasure in finding out what was actually wrong and what happened.he gave a apology but was more defensive than apologeti

I thought it was the starter and being a Saturday- looked very grim for me to get anything done on a Mercedes Benz- anytime soon (things were closing and not opening until Monday and then I would have had to wait for them to finish up he weekend stuff...so I was realistically looking at Tues before I could even think about leaving...) Thankfully I found this place and the next day (Sunday) he came out and it ended up being a battery that was going bad. It saved me a lot of time, and not to mention the major savings of the extra night(s) accommodations, and price of a starter repair (5 1/2 hr job) vs. a battery. I appreciated the honesty - friendliness - and promptness of this fella. I even had payment drama w/my card and had to run to the ATM and get him cash - all the while he remained patient and friendly & even gave me a ride to the ATM. I would HIGHLY recommend just calling this fella first. He really saved me a lot of hassle- THX VERY MUCH!
