Not a fan. We had an awful experience at this location. Our child who is 2, just started there…read moreafter spending the last 2 years in a private home. Being our second child, we are very familiar with the daycare in and outs. Teddy Bear seemed nice at first, even with the weird drop off and pick-up policy and lack of outdoor time. Just a week or so into his stay, we quickly realized this was not the place for him. Yes, they provided a service, feed him and made sure he was safe, but the little things started to build up that forced us to remove him with little or no notice. Here are a few items you might want to look into before others decide to do the same. 1. Revise your drop off and pick up policy. It would be much easier for us to pay for the time that we choose ( daily in hours) and decide when we want to drop him off and pick him up. 2. Have the front office staffed during your business hours. I had several days in the beginning that I need questions answered and the office was locked up. I was not going looking for someone. 3. Hire more friendly staff. We had a morning teacher who could care if she was their or not. Our child would walk in most mornings and say "hello" with little or no interaction back from this teacher. It almost seemed that we were bothering her. 4. Extend your outdoor time for the kids. Saying we do not do afternoon time outside because we want our parents to have the ability to talk to the teacher during pick up is bull. Most of the time we went in, the person watching our child had no clue how his day was except for a note written on a piece of paper. Might be useful to create a form that parents took home nightly, and to say this is the reason why they cannot go outside in the afternoon is a joke. 5. Make sure you have enough staff to properly manage the kids. One of the last days, I had to sign a accident report because another kids scratched him on his arm. I looked for the scratch, but could not find it. One of the night teachers "not his normal teacher" said its under his arm. I found a bite to his torso. A bite that drew blood and left him with a nice black and blue mark. I showed staff member the area and said " does that look like a scratch". She agreed with me that it was a bite. I have a big problem with the lack of supervision and policy that failed to handle this situation correctly. The fact that this was not describe correctly made me think our child and others are not being watched properly. So the next day my wife asked his teacher what happened. The teacher was no help and actual made the situation worse by arguing with my wife over this. Then the facility asked my wife to sign another accident report stating he was bitten and they reviewed the tape to confirm this. Why a day later? This was the final straw that made it clear we were removing him from this daycare. I understand that others will have great things to say about this place...I get it, but not us. It's a lot of money to be spending for sub-par daycare services. I hope this helps.

My daughter was exposed to all of the little boys going potty. In the class room is each rooms restroom. They keep the door open for ALL to see what is going on in the potty area. So little boys private parts are being hung out for ALL to see. I am very uncomfortable that it is viewed as policy there at the daycare, not to close the "curtain" shut while they are potty training. Umm NO!! There are not any circumstances that 3 and 4 yr. olds need to be exposed in that manner. 3 to 4 boys going potty maybe 4 times a day each..That is ALOT of exposure! How is a little girl to differentiate between right and wrong when she is being told by her daycare that this is ok to see a penis? My fear is that a boy or a man would/could expose themselves to her or any other little girl that attends there, she not say or do anything because she may think seeing a penis is the norm. It is no NOT ok. I have called The State and asked them about this situation and they confirmed this is NOT ok. They will be investigating. I was told they need to have a half door/half curtain or the door is to be closed. There does not seem to be real structure here at this daycare. It is far from clean. It is truly a babysitting situation, not an educational experience. I recommend Learning to Know for a satisfying experience. We have been there for almost a year, the only reason we tried TBDC was for the fact that it takes me longer to get in my car than it does to drive there. LTK is 13mins. away. Nothing feels better than to walk into a place where even the director LOVES your kid!! They are Super safe, CLEAN, and abide by the LAW to the letter! I really wanted to be there at TBDC, I loved the set up, and the hours are amazing, but it's not safe or secure, not truly educational, not clean, nor healthy! Not what they claim to be..and that makes me sad!! Sorry. I thought I was being over paranoid until I did some digging and found some other reviews and called the state! NOT paranoid.

Pay is minimum wage so that the two owners can make money off of Saratoga clients. They don't even live there. Most of the time other staff runs the office. it is public knowledge (and you can verify yourself) that they have serious violations, one that caused an INJURY! I can tell you all you want to know about yourself or your child from the short time that I worked here.

They claim no medical insurance and also admit to faulty equipment, but then you're on your own. I would sue if it were worth the time, effort or money. The fact that faulty equipment is still available for patrons to use is beyond dangerous. I have been working out for over 30 years and have never encountered such negligence. Stay faaaaaaar away from this branch.

I know my son did not fall from a couple inches into a plastic home. While on the way to albany med the ambulance had to turn its lights on as my son was unresponsive. at first I was told Bonnie was watching my son as she was always the one outside with the kids. she then changed her story to her helpers where outside with him. keep your children safe and make sure they are far away from this "childcare". also we have not been told that we can collect his belongings, or the season pass we paid for through this daycare.

Every possible thing is going on at this club-Swimming, 2 levels worth of gym space, 4 specialized gym spaces, a ton of activities and clubs--yes this is our 2nd home now. On top of that, the value you get for the family membership is beyond worth it. So excited to finally take the leap and join the Y. So if you want to drink Schlitz cocktails, you'll have to be somewhat sneaky about it. Note: for those who aren't familiar, a Schlitz cocktail is a can of Schlitz served with whipped cream and a cherry on top. It's the cocktail that made Milwaukee famous, but it can be enjoyed at any social event no matter what part of the country you are in.
