Everything was overpriced and I just can't see the appeal. Other people I've talked to about this place agree the prices feel too high for the food. I took the lamb while my wife got the grilled chicken. The lamb was really good -- 4 small circular pieces loaded with herbs and sauces. Overall, the taste was honestly amazing. What I didn't like was the staff attitude. I understand fast food places are busy, but instead of explaining the ingredients properly, they were rushing everything. Also, unlike Chipotle, they don't really give extra rice easily -- felt like I was asking for something premium And seriously... does no one maintain cleanliness in fast food chains anymore? A diner, of which there are numerous in New Jersey, is a establishment that churns out inexpensive, and potentially excellent, but very standard breakfast food - omelettes, pancakes, benedicts and the like. A true brunch place, on the other hand, offers things like lemon ricotta pancakes, cacio e pepe scrambles, mushroom thyme omelettes and shakshuka. Willow & Whisk is that kind of brunch place, and which is rare in New Jersey. The food options are varied, very tasty, and with good portion sizes. I love the shakshuka and the mushroom thyme omelette. Oh gosh, when is our next reservation again?

As for the coffee, it was probably the most disappointing part of the meal. The latte wasn't very smooth, and the cold brew had a slight off taste. They were both drinkable, just not something I'd order again. Overall, I'd recommend this place for the food and the atmosphere, especially if you're interested in the French toast.
