Philly Cheesesteak and Loaded Philly Fries
    Erin H.

I saw several local Facebook posts about Crave's grand opening yesterday and decided to give it a try today. I ordered takeout online from their website. When I walked in to pick up my order, there was a line of people also waiting to pick up their orders. One woman said she was waiting close to an hour to pick up her order. They clearly still need time to figure out operations. Luckily the wait for my food wasn't too long. The inside is pretty simple with some murals on the walls and there is a good amount of seating. The portion size for the Philly Cheesteak was a bit small for $15. The Loaded Philly Fries were a decent size ($12). Everything was pretty tasty and flavorful. I will probably give it another try once they are more established.

Walked in here really not knowing what to expect. I knew they had Cheesesteaks, but my daughter asked for a burger only because it was part of the decor on the wall. No they do not have cheeseburgers. They have breakfast and steaks. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak, jalapeño onions and pepper peppers. The jalapeños could've been a little bit hotter because they were not fresh and out of the jar and unseeded. Ordered the slider, which is kind of crazy we think about it. It was seven dollars. not much of a selection, but cold drinks which is a bit unattractive in case I wanted a hot drink, which was never offered. When I turn around to look at the seating, I noticed a filthy floor with tons of shoe prints assuming from the week passed, most of the tables were dirty with crumbs grease or seats had food on it. Found the cleanest seat made it home for myself for the next 20 minutes. The cheese stick was great. Bread was also very good, but I thought it was just more bread stuffing than meat until I actually got my hand into it. Didn't wanna look like a pig, so I use the fork so did my daughter for her slider and made room to stuff the battered fries inside of the steak. Like many things, the size of the sandwich was smaller, but the meat made up for its place(phrasing) the batter fries were very good, my little one immediately stated that this is her new favorite place. A little bit pricey for what I ordered a slider a can of soda order fries and a cheesesteak was over $30. And this economy, I think these people should reconsider on their prices if they want to stay open. Yes, this is in Wayne, New Jersey, where the kids get direct deposit into their allowance and don't really care what they're spending because they don't have jobs. The menu is extremely limited with maybe four toppings for your cheesesteak your fries or any other sandwich that they may come up with. They offer a milkshake, but guess what only three flavors. What I personally think would help this business is post like this to attract other people to try their product and see where it goes. A little bit more sanitary environment for this restaurant would be good maybe a couple of plants with some more decor and please remove the cheeseburger because it distracts the people from ordering what they really want. Hopefully in the later future, they'll have more of a selection on their menu, but until then their cheesesteak is pretty good. I will give them five stars because there's a lot of room for growth of this new business and I would recommend more people to come and try out their cheese sticks, which is very good.

Very Good cheesesteak. Place your order before you get there for pick up. I can see why this place gets busy. It's a gem!

Cheese steak was very good however in my opinion is they should get rid of the seeded roll and it would be so much better.

Munchy's is the king of fat sandwiches in North Jersey. I've tried a bunch of places and nothing…read morehits like this. The Royal Flush is hands down the best sandwich on the menu. Everything is stacked right, it holds together better than most, and the flavor balance is perfect. You get crispy, savory, melty, salty, all in one bite. Every time. I drive about 12 miles to get here which says a lot. It also happens to fall right between home and work so it's become my go-to detour on Fridays. Early lunch stop or mid-shift reset, it never disappoints. Portions are legit and they don't skimp on fillings. You're full but not destroyed. The spot has that Jersey counter-shop feel. Order, grab a seat if there's one open, or take it to go and wreck it in your car. Either way the food travels well and the quality doesn't drop off. There is limited space inside to enjoy the freshest bite but tables revolve quickly. If you're into fat sandwiches or never had one done right, this is the place. Real ingredients, no shortcuts, every sandwich feels like someone actually cared about stacking it right. Easily five stars. Worth the drive. Worth the mess.

This is my second review of this establishment. In my initial review, I had issues with the burger…read morebeing overly soft, the fries being unseasoned and cold, and an unpleasant oil taste. However, this review is not about that experience. Let's start with the service. I placed my order with John, who was pleasant and easy to deal with. After speaking with the owner on Yelp, he suggested that some of my original issues may have been due to the timing and the fact that my order was delivered, which could have affected the quality. Taking that into account, I ordered the same item again. This time, the service was good, and I got home with the food piping hot. The issue I previously had with the burger does seem to have been caused by delivery time, as it was much better this time around. Unfortunately, the fries were just as disappointing. They were cold as soon as I opened the packaging, though at least they didn't have the old oil taste this time. Instead, it was very obvious they were frozen fries--confirmed by the presence of a plastic bag of frozen fries. They were again unseasoned, not even lightly salted, and somehow managed to be both cold and burnt at the same time. One thing that concerned me was the staffing. There were four employees present, but only two seemed to actually be working. John appeared to be leading things and taking orders, and there was someone cooking. One employee in a beanie seemed mostly idle, though I overheard something about deliveries, so I assume he may have been the delivery driver. Another employee, who looked around my age, didn't appear to be doing anything at all. That was a bit concerning. Overall, I updated my original rating from 2 stars to 3 stars. It was fine, but nothing impressive. If I were rating it out of 10, I'd give it a 4/10. The burger was good in terms of softness, but the onion rings and bacon lacked the crunch I was expecting. They were mostly soggy, though still an improvement compared to my first experience. The burger patty itself, without toppings, tasted dense and brick-like. If the fries had been good, I honestly would've rated this closer to a 7/10. However, I had to dock several points because I don't understand how fries can be both burnt and cold at the same time, nor how the quality managed to decline further between visits--from tasting like old oil to tasting unmistakably frozen and completely unseasoned. If I'm in the area, I might stop by for the burger alone, but even then I'd have to be in a very specific mood. The most disappointing part is that the owner personally encouraged me to give it another try. While one issue from my original visit was resolved, the fries somehow got worse. I know I'm ranting about the fries, but honestly--how do you mess up fries this badly?
