My husband and I have been going to Teddy's for 2 years and have always had the best service. Until tonight. This was their second weekend open since the pandemic and we wanted to support our local restaurant. My husband went up to the to-go counter and attempted to place a specific order for take out. The guy who took our order has the worst attitude and kept saying they didn't have what we wanted to order. My husband called over another waiter who was able to take our order with out any issues. Once we got home I was so upset with how my husband was treated that I called the restaurant to speak with a manager. When they answered i asked to speak to one and the guy on the phone said he was the manager (which i highly doubt due to the way he was speaking). Once i explained the issue and how upset we were with how we were treated, the guy on the phone "the manager " said that it's because we didn't leave a tip which is why he was rude and that we should "end our relationship now" which left me very perplexed. I explained to him that "a tip" is never a give in -it's earned and based off of the service that has been given. I myself work in hospitality as a manager and have always told my employees to never expect a tip- they have to earn it. Clearly this guy is not cut out for the business and needs to be fired! We will no longer be going here based off of this unfortunate experience. Shame on you Teddy's! read more

Teddy's is a great chill place in the Bedford-ish area of Williamsburg. We've watched a few Mets game there. They don't have huge TVs or anything, but just big enough. The food there is a good. I like the wings...they're great. This place has a lot of history (lots of films/tv also gets shot here...think Empire Boardwalk). read more

It's true that Teddy's offers big plates heaping with greasy food (and I love greasy food), but the quality level is just barely passable. The price of beer is amazing though, so if you're just after a drink, head to Teddy's. Williamsburg is full of great places to get good grub. If you're looking for a good meal pass on by. read more

The food here is excellent, everyone in my party loved what they ordered. I had the Quinoa Vegan Burger, it was the best burger I have ever had, not your typical "veggie burger". The chef is excellent. My only complaint is that the service was a little slow considering the restaurant was not crowded. However, I would certainly eat here again! read more

Sentimental favorite but the food has gone downhill over the years. But it's a very warm and inviting space with lots of local history and good vibes. It used to be a regular of mine but now I go infrequently and am disappointed that the food doesn't taste good anymore. Great place to grab a drink and catch up with a friend. read more

Great brunches and some killer bloody marys & other hair-of-the-dog type drinks are balanced out by pretty slow service. Beautiful stained glass though - they almost destroyed in in a previous renovation. As with many places around here, can be insanely slammed at times. Came here for lunch with my friend and I really like the vibe here. We both had the chicken panini sandwich which was very tasty. The bread was nicely grilled and crispy and the filling was flavorful. I was a little disappointed by the fries though. Since we had to pay extra for the fries since the sandwich doesn't really come with anything more than a little cup of slaw I would think they were homemade/hand cut fries. Instead you can tell they came straight out of a bag. Next time I will just have the sandwich. read more

Teddy's is one of my favorite Williamsburg eateries. I like that people from all different walks of life come here, not just hipsters. The food is great and moderately priced. My favorite is the Cubano sandwich, but I always look forward to the daily and seasonal specials. The desserts are also fabulous. The service is good from the "regulars," but can be spotty from a newer waitress. read more

After wandering around Bedford Ave we stumbled upon Teddy's; looking cute and cozy it def caught our attention. Cute pub-ish place, nothing fancy, nice big windows. We stayed for dinner, I ordered the fish tacos which were on the daily menu, and the bf ordered the cuban rueben with curly fries-both were AMAZING!! Curly fries got devoured, and even though my tacos were only three little tacos, I couldn't even finish the last one.. They had both Brooklyn Weiss and Brooklyn Lager on tap, so I was a happy girl ( I know its Brooklyn, but I enjoy my beer, and don't frequent BK spots too often ) Service was ok, nothing to complain about, but not super-amazing either. Looks like they have a stage area perhaps for some kind of musical performances, which might be fun to come to. I love Teddy's! Why? Because nothing there ever goes wrong, the food's great and the service is great too. Whenever we don't know what we want or where we want to go, we go to Teddy's. Whenever I'm with a group and it's hard to coordinate a large gathering / meal, we just go to Teddy's. Whether getting beers and wings, tea and mussels, a steak sandwich, a burger, or a fancier entree (or all you can eat fish 'n chips), Teddy's is sure to please. And for that reason, we love it and we go all the time. They're a little pricey, but in my opinion it's worth the experience. My favorite thing to get there is the glazed ribs appetizer, the frito misto, or the mussels diablo. read more

I've been here before like five years ago to meet a friend from Brooklyn Brewery for lunch. This past weekend I stopped in again late night on my way home from an event there because the outside of the bar seems to call to you. They had a decent beer offering (priced about right, but not cheap), and the place was low key. I was pretty drunk, but I think this place appears to be a local watering hole for most. I'm not usually this generous with reviews but I loved everything about this place. Such a nice atmosphere while sitting outside in their sidewalk seating area. The staff was super attentive & friendly, even to my pooch offering him treats & water. The deviled eggs were delicious, and the catfish sandwich was to-die-for! I dragged my better half here with me, because there was a sign out front that said Ricotta Fritters with Caramel sauce. Don't judge me. We sat at the bar, where Liana happily took our order. Because we were at the bar, I had to look at the drink menu. Ace Perry (pear) Hard Cider? Yes, please! Schöfferhofer Grapefruit Beer? Of course! The fritters were so light and fluffy with a delectable crunch through the outer layer. The slightest hint of powdered sugar complimented the caramel dipping sauce. This morning went to brunch in Brooklyn and discovered this amazing restaurant called Teddy's bar and the grill!! The menu selection is awesome. I ordered the shrimp and grits on point! The eggs Benedict was great and honey and rosemary biscuits with homemade jam superb. The service was excellent and atmosphere family friendly. The staff aimed to please. My friend brought us here for brunch one Saturday and it was a great time. He was a regular and seemed to be friends with the waitresses, so they were really attentive to our table. It's supposedly much more crowded during brunch but we came on a rainy day and were seated in the back room, which had a lot of privacy. I had the Jamaican french toast, which was coconut-crusted toast topped with strawberries, mangoes and maple syrup. It was amazingly sweet but not overly cloying. My boyfriend had the steak and eggs, and the steak came out huge, juicy and tender. My sister tells me that they have a great happy hour, so I'd like to come back for that. read more
