We love this place!! No, not because of the booze!!! Although, a nice drink every once in awhile hits the spot...we go for the grinders (sandwiches for those not from this area). Because inside of Ted's Package Store is Perry's Deli and they make the most amazing grinders. Seriously, it takes me 30 minutes to get there to pick up my order. We're big fans of the turkey and bacon and my partner usually gets a chili when we stop. It is also a full service deli with a big case of sandwich meats and cheeses. Terrible deli I would NEVER come back. Ordered three sandwhiches and waited almost an hour for them and never got them, everyone who ordered after me got them, I got tired of waiting and just left. Five people in the bloody deli and none are competent enough in being able to make sandhwich ex. Older lady in glasses does nothing and just spends all her time chatting up every customer which (unfortunately) she seems to know. This is not the first time this has happened either, has happened to me the last two times I've gone to the deli, once in November of last year and June of last year. The sandwiches I ordered were not complex by any means and were straight off their menu. If you want your sandwich to actually be made and for the cheaper just go 10 minuets down the road to the North Oxford walmart and order at subway. If you want a quality sandwich go to the Big Y in Southbridge or the Sutton Center Deli/Gas station in Sutton. Trust me you do not want to order from here, it's miserable, over priced and you'll be lucky enough if they even make your order right. Five workers and none of them can make a sandwhich, one didn't even do anything while I was there just walked around and chatted every customer but me up. Terrible experience and I would highly recommend you avoid this place entirely and just go to the places I recommended, plus you'll save the fortune you would've spent here for minimal portions. read more

The experience I'm going to tell about happened a while ago but it has bugged me for a while so here I am going to vent . I bought a roast beef grinder and went home to eat it and upon the second bite I was dragging two long black hairs out from the sandwich . Needless to say i was grossed out so i called Ted's and explained what happened . They never offered to make me another grinder so I have never gone back . I come here all the time for lunch while at work or on a day off I love the sandwiches. Just recently they want to stop using red onion on sandwiches because they waste too much so I was told I could pay extra for the red onion on my sandwich. So when I call and am denied ref onion I tell them I'll pay for one. They have not charged me in the 5 times sense but today I got a response of ok whatever. My sandwich was not toasted and I had huge chunks of red onion on part of my grinder and a pile of pickels, nothing on the other half. I have took a picture and will post it. Very unhappy with one of my favorite places to eat lunch. read more

Ordered grinders through Grub Hub by mistake, thought the phone number we called was directly for the deli. Grub Hub relayed the order to the deli pretty much entirely wrong. We didn't know this until we opened the bag when we got home. Went back and had a good laugh at seeing a steak and cheese on sliced white sandwich bread, among the other things that weren't what we asked for. They fixed it in just a few minutes by making us new grinders and they were delicious. We always get our grinders through Teds, they're always so good! My great grandpa comes here almost every day and buys food, wine , ect. Good prices and always fresh items . I recommend.

Not so happy with this place. When in for a donation for a fundraiser for Covid victims. Same excuse we get so many requests and we do not know you. I had a flyer with a tax ID # . Just sad they couldn't even donate a bottle for a basket. I realize there are alot of requests for donations. Usually go there at least 3 times a week for sandwiches and wine etc. Won't put my foot in there again. Thanks for nothing read more

As far as the deli goes it's amazing! I just had the best corn beef Reuben I've had in a very long time! They warmed up the corn beef in the oven And then grilled the sandwich on rye. It was perfect. The package store and sterns are great too! Teds is great!! read more

I live in Ludlow, in western Mass, about 30 miles west of Charlton, but I stop every time I drive by. Their prices are excellent. I signed up for their hard to find whiskey list and, and they called me. Sold me a nice bottle for about the release price. Others were charging 3 to 7 times. These are good ethical people. Very impressive selection! The whole length of the back wall is beer coolers, PLUS a walk-in cooler for larger package sizes. There are entire aisles dedicated to specific liquor types (rum, vodka, wisk(e)y). And there seemed to be a nice selection of wine too! (not my choice of drink) There is a small deli, and a small selection of produce. The beer prices as of April 2015 are average for MA, but the liquor is not priced outrageous like some of the smaller convenience-type stores. They immediately asked for my ID as soon as I approached the counter, and ran it through a scanner. The clerk was a lot more friendly after that... I imagine due to the size, and how busy it can get, they get a lot of children trying to make purchases so they have to be cautious with everyone. Overall it's worth taking a look, and WOW... Used to love their sandwiches. However, they have a few new people working at the deli and I've noticed they cut way down on the meat portion. Also, they barely put any vegetables on the sandwiches anymore. I asked for tomato and I had one small tomato slice on my sandwich. I was expecting to see a ton of reviews on yelp for this place: This place has many regular customers. It is now a completely new build/facility which was built on the same property and the original which is featured in a photo upload is now gone. I will start with the ONLY con that I can think of: If you are traveling west on route 20 and want to enter the parking lot's first entrance, it is a bit of risk as the traffic behind you may not be expecting you to turn due to the entrance is not very visible upon approaching from that way. Now for the good: 1) The recycling area is set aside and has all new machines which are very convenient. 2) The register counter is configured in a logical way were customers can choose between multiple registers, so typically there are no lines. For New Years sure there were lines, but even as busy as they get then, the lines were moving along quickly. 3) SELECTION! If you are looking for wines, liqueurs, whiskeys, rums, scotch, gin, schnapps, pre-mixed concoctions, beers, IPA, champagnes, you name it they have it. They have a plentiful supply of everything, including snacks. 4) The Deli! They feature Boar's Head and that is a real good place to start. The deli alone could be in its own review. Have ordered roast beef, Italian, meatball, tuna, hot pastrami, and steak and cheese. Every single sandwich has been delicious. My girlfriend, her mom, house guests, have all tried a sandwich here and everyone has said the same thing. They have always had a good customer service attitude; they treat all of the customers well.
