Ok, so after a crazy long hike at Monadnock Mtn we wanted a great beer and a burger. This place was awesome! Dry rub wings were delish and very spicy in a great way! Great Pumpkin Beer with the sugar rim was so fantastic that we purchased a 4 pack for home. The Dill burger Medium Rare and fries hit the spot for dinner. Just wish they had T shirts in Medium for the hubby to top off the night. Merch was really nice but not much left. Definitely would go back! Service at the bar was great! read more

Wanted to try a new Brewery so we stopped here. What looks like a non-descript factory actually turns into a nice little U-shaped bar with plenty of TV's and they had a good live singer the night we went. The beers on tap looked great. We went with the two variations of Pumpkin because of the time of the year. Both had a great pumpkin taste and one had a hint of vanilla. The food was ok. Wife said Nashville chicken was really good as were her fries. I had a Caesar wrap, but it didn't have much chicken so I wouldn't get it again. Waitstaff was by committee, anytime one went by they asked if we needed anything. I would recommend the beer here in a heartbeat, just be aware that the alcohol content was usually 8% so watch it lol read more

This was our latest stop on our brewery tour. We arrived early on a Saturday afternoon and they place was still pretty empty. We were given a choice of where we wanted to be seated and we picked a high top. My partner was disappointed in the beer selections because they had a LOT of IPA's and he's not a fan of those at all, he chose the Equality Lager draft and I was happy that they had hard seltzer's (I'm not a beer drinker, just here for moral support!!! Lol). As it's the end of covid restrictions (hopefully) it was our last time being forced to order food. My partner was hungry so he ordered the burger and fries, he said that the burger was good, nothing special, but the fries weren't good and he left them. I ordered the pretzels with dipping sauces, these pretzels were TOUGH...I'm surprised I didn't pop a crown on my tooth!! At 11.99 for two probably from the freezer pretzels I would expect something pretty good. Our server was excellent and the place is pretty nice, but there really wasn't any wow factor. Some places are good because of beautiful outdoor patios, some have amazing food and some have a more diverse beer selection. I can't think of anything I would tell someone that they need to stop here for. read more

Stopped by greater good for their after party after their greater good beer festival. Their sour Guava beer was so good! The band playing was a lot. Great place with great atmosphere to visit with friends or family. I would recommend to grab a bite somewhere else and maybe enjoy their apps there if you get hungry again. I tried their food and it was alright. Their pork carnitas tacos had almost no carnitas in them, but for the environment I still give this place 4 stars! They have a big parking lot which is great. Greater Good produces some very fine New England IPA's! Their PULP series which comes in various versions is excellent! The two beers I have had were pretty much the same in style. Both were Hazy New England IPA's from the PULP series but despite being the same style both offered a unique flavor between the two. It really boiled down to what hops they used and how much. The DDH Pulp Daddy and the Nelson Pulp Daddy even involved dry hops for both. But with the DDH more dry hops were added. Love the varying subtleties but still getting the general PULP recipe for both beers. Lots of fun doing a comparison/contrast study with the flavor similarities and differences. read more

I've had Greater Good's beers in the past and love the Greylock. Now that I live down the street from here I decided to pop by the other day for some beers. The service was great and the Greylock and Wooo are delicious. I think I might prefer the Wooo as it's lighter, but if you're into very strong IPA's, you should try both. read more

This was our first visit to Greater Good Brewing Company. Recommended by several people, we decided to hit it up on our drive through Worcester. The place was hopping! Lots of space inside, and what looks like ample parking, but on a Friday it was PACKED and hard to find a open spot. They have a small menu of food for purchase. A large variety of beers which we were excited about. Especially IPAs which are our favorite. We both got flights. My flight was all IPAs and to be honest although I loved all of the IPAs that I tried. They all started to taste the same. We will definitely make a trip back the next time we are in the area. read more

GG is ez top 3 brewery in MA... and I've been 42 of 'em (yeah I track). Fantastic brew on the IPA/malty side which is my jam but they've been expanding out to lighter beers which is good for the gals. They also got pretty good food which is a bonus for a brewery, amazing swag... especially tees that have a perfect athletic fit and are have been some of my favorites (weird? I don't care) This place has it all with great outdoor/indoor seating, ambiance, live bands, outdoor-lighting, dog friendly, fun events... all boxes check except no foliage/wilderness vibes but that's not really a fault... however I've seen similar commercial location breweries use crafty Ivey work to capture this however this is more for proof that I'm not ride or die this place. Convenience for Worcester is hard to beat considering central and near highway location.. with other places to go near it but not too much. They are also at Polar park and have been spreading that pulp daddy all throughout MA for further proof of their dam fine work. All said and done, if your looking for top tier brewery that gives Treehouse a run for its money then this is the place. Out. read more

Enjoyed a short visit to this brewery with friends before dinner. The place had good vibes that the friendly staff generates. The "Mousachusetts" moose decor is cool, and represents the brewery's values of strength, size, and fearlessness. The drinks were good. Their IPAs this day were all 8% or higher and come in a smaller pour glass. Our group tried their flagship beer, Pulp Daddy, the Juice Daddy, and Crush Groove (by Soul Purpose Brew Company) and one of their hard seltzer. Our waiter, Maison, was very helpful and great to deal with. We left with a growler of Juice Daddy that was his favorite and is now one of ours:). Be careful when leaving the parking lot and entering Millbrook Street, as cars come around the corner quite fast. read more

Apparently Massachusetts is just jam-packed with breweries and local craft beers. This past weekend, we put on real pants and decided to have our Worcester brewery cherry popped. This place was the easy winner with a food menu. Up until now in my life the breweries I have visited include carlsberg, guinness, heineken, and dogfish head. So....with those expectations, this place wasn't quite what I was anticipating. This place is essentially a bar with a bunch of steel vats in the background. Upon entry, we were confused and it took us a few minutes to realize that it's a, seat-yourself situation as this is not blatantly stated anywhere. Our cluelessness continued while we tried to figure out what to order. There were about 6-8 draught options, almost all of them IPAs with one porter and maybe a stout or two. As someone who isn't particularly fond of IPAs, I would have preferred a touch more variety. I went with the goodnight moon porter and tinasaurus snagged the puff daddy, which has apparently won Massachusetts' most tasty IPA. For food, there are two vegetarian grilled cheese options: the classic with like 3-4 kinds of cheese and the caprese with tomatoes, fontina, and pesto. We ordered the latter and threw in an order of the bavarian soft pretzel with mustard and beer cheese for good measure. We told the bartender we had no fucking idea what we were doing as this was our first visit. She was initially patient with us and described the draught options but that patience ran out real quick. I don't know about you, but when I enter a self-serve-type place, I make a bee line to the ordering counter. I don't waste time trying to wander around the dining room looking for a place to sit. For this reason, we hadn't found a place to sit when we placed our order. We were on the receiving end of some attitude from the bartender when we didn't know. I would expect bartenders to be accustomed to interacting with drunk and annoying people so the fact that we didn't yet have a seat shouldn't get your panties in a bunch. After placing our order, I agreed to keeping my tab open. I closed my wallet and was trying to put it back into my purse before starting towards our table. While I was putting my wallet back, the bartender was like "...we keep your credit card here...." with a condescending tone. Ok...can you relax? Jesus. We were able to find a table near the back. There are a bunch of old school video game machines and a pile of toys, seemingly to entertain kiddos while their parents knock a few back. I'm not a parent by any means but a brewery is probably not the place I would choose to bring my children. This is definitely the first time I've seen toys for kids at a brewery. Towards the end of our stay, it was more like chuckie cheese than a bar experience with kids running all over the place, yelling, hitting the walls, etc. Now that I've gotten the doody stuff out of the way, I will admit that the food was very good. The grilled cheese was cheesy and tasty. My only criticism is that I would have preferred thicker bread but otherwise, it was a great grilled cheese. The pretzels were incredible. They were soft and juicy, in a pretzel-kind-of way. When they first came out, they were too hot to eat. The beer cheese and the mustard were two of the best dips I've had the pleasure of slathering on my pretzels. Don't leave this place without ordering the pretzels. The beers themselves were just ok. I could take them or leave them. If you want to bring your dog and/or kids for a nice family outing, this is probably a good place to do so. read more

A great brewery that leans heavily into NEIPA's. Greater Good has a dark, cavernous interior, the perfect place to escape on a hot Summer day. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon, we figured the place would be absolutely packed, but there was plenty of indoor seating. Note that they're very dog friendly, so feel free to bring your pooch. The big caveat here is that the beer selection is 70% NE IPA, which is to be expected for this part of the nation, but if you're coming here expecting to sample a variety of different styles, you might want to pump your brakes. They do offer a handful of sours, which are actually quite good, as well as a stout or two and hard seltzer. I was tempted to deduct a star because the menus are a bit of a mess. Most breweries will have a large board with everything currently on tap. Greater Good instead has a board with the day's specials (which seem to rotate pretty quickly), a piece of paper with the weekly specials (which was outdated and from the prior week), plus the regular menu (which only contained food). Ultimately we ended up ignoring almost all of those and ordered based on their website + some advice from our server. The process was a lot more convoluted than it needed to be, and we actually ended up ordering the wrong weekly special flight, because they had given us a flyer with last week's specials. Our server was pretty rad and very attentive, so we got it sorted out pretty quickly. Overall a pretty good experience, especially if you like Northeast style IPAs! read more

Greater Good is a great addition to the Worcester brewery scene. The location.. albeit a bit odd (not really near other restaurants, etc), is very convenient. There is not a lot of room to be outside on sunny evenings, but there are a couple of picnic tables for outdoor seating. Inside is open and airy with an industrial vibe. There was live music the evening we went, and it was good. There was plenty of seating and the beer was GOOD! Keep in mind they specialize in high gravity beers... a little goes a long way. We weren't expecting much in the way of food, but the hubs got a Cuban and said it was really good! We'll definitely be back! read more

I found this spot on the way to a wedding in Northern Massachusetts. The brewery had lots of great and interesting beers. The listing was diverse, but IPAs were quite heavily represented. For us, that was a plus. A few of note that caught our eye was the Imperial Pumpkin Ale (Giant Pumkin) and an Imperial Sour IPA with Peaches (Peach Funk Daddy). They also had their own spiked seltzers on tap. So many options to choose from. We sat, sipped, and snacked on some chicken tenders. The tenders were good and everything else we saw come out of the kitchen looked delicious as well. After we finished our flights, we picked up a few cans of our favorites for friends and then we were on our way. I would definitely stop here if around the area again. Friendly Atmosphere Gone 3 or 4 times in the past month. I like just about everything I've encountered. The beer is high quality with a wide variety and with canned offerings for sale. Some beers are always on tap and canned others are on a rotational basis. But, if your favorite is out of rotation, so far, I've seen one of the same style offered. Bar seats are comfortable and they have a limited menu so you can order food and they also usually have a bbq food truck outside as an alternative. Bartenders are usually friendly and attentive. Patrons range in ages, both singles and couples, those who want to chat and those who keep to themselves or their group - so it's a great mix overall. Tip 1: The place can get extremely busy so be prepared if you go on typical out night. Tip 2: The place is basically on the outskirts of Worcester so your not really near the rest of the action in the city. It is Worcester so I'm not sure what that means sometimes. Thanks read more

So this place has the potential for 5 stars because the brewery was packed with a very cool vibe. It had a great patio and plenty of seating indoor with a well balanced beer and food menu, but the service was AWFUL. We were seated fairly quickly but no one came to take our order. Now I'm a super patient, non- confrontational person but after 20 mins of waiting without being acknowledged by anyone we went to the bar to order since there were 3 bartenders literally just standing there, and we were told to have a seat and someone would be with us. After an additional 15 mins of waiting and watching staff literally stand around chatting we decided to leave. Now because we were from out of state and really wanted to try the beer we decided to buy canned beer and have our own private party in the parking lot. read more

Been here a number of times. I love the beer and the atmosphere. Being able to play Street Fighter 2 is always welcome and the food's pretty good. I've also brought in food. The outside is a little odd, so it's not amazing in the summer if you're into outdoor drinking, but the inside's nice generally. Spacious, nice bar, clean. I really like their beer. A lot. While there I had a medical issue and fainted, and luckily for me one of the beer tenders, Rachel, was a trained medic and was by my side helping me immediately. There is nothing bad I can say about Greater Good. We were blown away. We were passing through Worcester and decided to stop for outdoor dining at the last minute. They had plenty of distanced outdoor seating and had someone opening the door if you needed to go inside so that you wouldn't have to touch the door. In addition to good safety policies, they had fantastic food and beer. My wife and I both got flights and enjoyed every beer we tried. The standouts were definitely Shine On and the pumpkin milkshake IPA. We also had the buffalo chicken dip and the pastelitos and both were so delicious. 2020 update: get the fried chicken sandwich when you visit the GG taproom, it's AMAZING. Excellent brewery in Worcester, every beer they make is solid. Even though they're known for and specialize in imperial brews, the Soul Purpose sub-brand is amazing as well. And now they have their own hard seltzers! Food is good, small menu but the popular items you'd expect from a brewery are there and done well. Menu specials and food trucks from time to time too! Staff is awesome, all are really nice and friendly, and are also knowledgeable about the beer that's on tap; if you ask for a recommendation, they'll be able to help. Fantastic local brewery with great beer and good food. When I am in town I make it a point to stop in on Wednesday's to enjoy the trivia night and a few beers. Beer here was top notch, albeit a bit expensive if you plan on drinking at the brewery ($8-9 for a 10-11 oz pour), perhaps the best of my weeklong trip, during which I visited about 10 breweries. However, beer here is much less expensive if you buy cans ($14 or so for 4 16oz cans). Aside from beer, service was truly excellent, especially if you sit at the bar, as we did. I have visited a few times. I really wanted to like it. Firstly I will say their Pulp and Goodnight moon are just delicious and I will highly recommend them. I tried their Shook Ones and Octoberfest and these two just seemed to miss the mark. I was really disappointed to be served a flight in small plastic cups. Environment awareness aside, it really was a put off. Combine that with their 12oz pours at a 16oz price and it just felt worse. Their cans are cheaper at Wegmens than at the Brewery so I am really trying to find the pull to go back. read more

I have read other reviews on this place and I am a little surprised other people didn't have the same experience but... went last night and was a little disappointed. They were out of some of my faves from their Soul Purpose line so I got a galaxy IPA that was fine, not my new favorite but fine. My wife was served a 7$ warm beer from a can that was undrinkable. There was no seating available and the line for pours was quickly growing to more than 20 people. Knowing we were at least 20 minutes in line for another round we left. I have never seen a less functional set up for a tap room with the whole line up for a beer thing. There were seemingly only 3 people pouring beers for the entire place. I'm glad they were busy but I probably won't be back for a while. read more
