My experience with their service department was nothing short of outrageous. I contacted them because my machine's traction override switch wouldn't release the brake--a very specific and straightforward issue. I even told the technician exactly what I suspected: that the traction override switch (part #6674220) was faulty. Instead of starting with the obvious, the technician spent over 4 hours needlessly checking every wire, fuse, and peripheral connection under the sun--everything except the switch I flagged from the start. Only after exhausting every irrelevant possibility did he finally test the switch, and surprise--it was bad. Here's where it gets worse: they charged me $165 per hour for 4 hours, a ridiculous $660 in labor just to discover what I told them at the beginning. Then they charged $102 for a part that retails for around $40, plus another fee for a second trip--because of course, the part wasn't in stock and took 10 days to arrive. In total, I was billed over $801.44 for what should have been a quick, affordable fix. This is either extreme incompetence or outright predatory billing. Either way, I wouldn't trust Metro Bobcat of Sykesville with a wheelbarrow, let alone heavy equipment. Save your money and your sanity--go elsewhere. read less
