They worked with me to make sure I had all the information I needed and that I would like all the choices I was making since I didn't go to their showroom to look at anything. This place is what the rental equipment experience should be! I rented a de thatcher and aerator for the weekend. Everything was done over the phone and email. Easy pickup, explanation, etc. These machines are in such great shape, a child can pull start them. All jokes aside, every time I needed to start one, it started on the first crank. Recently rented a dog fence installer. Awesome customer service. We did have one issue with equipment possibly user error unsure but technician was on site quickly within 20 minutes and stayed with us for a little bit to make sure it was working properly. Sent in an inquiry via their web based fill-in form for a piece of equipment. Got a text message on the 2nd day after the inquiry which was not an answer at all. When I sent in a serious response, I received a flippant response, . "Good Luck in finding the equipment needed." to which I replied, . "Thank You. to which they replied, You're welcome!" I would not take these people too seriously, and suspect some of the glowing reviews may possibly have been, well, shall we say, from questionable sources? Who knows? From my vantage point it was a bizarre response to a serious business related inquiry, and worse, it was then followed up by a flippant flip-off. read more

I planned for months to rent a skid loader from these people. It was supposed to be delivered Saturday morning, September 3, 2022 before 9AM. They were suppose to call me Saturday morning before it was delivered so I could meet the driver and I could learn about the machine and answer my questions. I am sitting in my house on Saturday morning waiting for the call that the machine is on its way. I decide to go outside and I find the skid loader parked up against my truck so I can not move my truck. The machine has no instructions with it. I have no idea when it was delivered because everything was planned for Saturday morning. I called to complain that it was supposed to be delivered Saturday morning like the contract stated and everything was planned for Saturday. They did not want to listen to me as I told them it was suppose to be delivered Saturday and they were to call me so I could meet the delivery driver and get instructions on how to operate it. They provided no instructions on how to operate it. They parked it against my truck so I did not want to start it up and run the bucket into my truck. I told them I did not want to do business will such an incompetent business that did not follow the plans we had agreed upon. I told them to come get the machine since they screwed up all my plans for using the skid loader. They are trying to charge me delivery and pickup fees. I will talk to my credit card company to try and stop this. I had everything worked out with them I thought in writing when to delver the machine to meet my situation and they screwed it up. Do not trust these people as they will not follow instructions, and then they are ripping me off charging me a delivery and pickup fee for their incompetence. Jefferson Rentals provided services for my wedding. I ordered 140 white garden chairs, and multiple styles of linens. Everything was delivered early on Friday for our Saturday event, which allowed us plenty of time to get started on decorating and setting up. We received 160 chairs instead of 140. This would seem like a good thing, but in our situation, we had to handle and store an extra 20 chairs, which was a bit of a hassle--especially in 90+ degree weather. I did, however, appreciate the company working with me on canceling our dance floor rental. We decided we did not need the dance floor about 1-2 weeks prior to the event. I called to cancel, and was told that unless they can book the dancefloor at another event that day, i would have to pay the total cost. I was then told I'd receive a call from "the manager" the following day. I called them back the next day to check the status of everything and the associate said the dancefloor had been removed from the invoice entirely. With the stress of all of the various costs of the wedding, this was a great relief. Thanks again! read more

We contacted them late November 2015 to rent a tent and all the accompanying items for our wedding at the end of April 2016. The reservation process was super easy and the staff was super helpful.... Until.. The day before the set up day (3 days before the wedding) we got a call saying that the linens we ordered were discontinued... Oh no!! This is where David and his team took over. He made sure that we were satisfied with everything... From our replacement linens, to the setup, to the placement of the drapes on the tent. I would never hope that something goes wrong to "get something for free" but what was missed was far made up for by the whole team. David was wonderful to work with, and Anthony was super helpful in the set up of ALL of our rented items. We rented tables and chairs for a backyard wedding and made a down payment. Due to a better venue opening up, we cancelled the tables and chairs and expected a full refund of our original payment. We were never told the payment was non-refundable and we cancelled 38 days before the wedding date. The manager was completely uncooperative, and rude. He had no signed contract of the deal and refused to give us a refund. As a manager, it is your job to make sure your employees are making all customers aware of a non-refundable charge. It is also the managers job to get a signed contract before any non-refundable transaction. It is simply a human matter of doing what is right. With no legal grounds, he had no right to take that money and do nothing to help us during this special time of our lives, nonetheless. To this day, we have recieved no service from the company at all or check refunding our money. Our wedding was over a month ago. read more

I rented a large white party tent in July 2013 that was dirty and full of ants! It was a big job to clean this tent bc it was so large (and heavy). When I called JR to tell them the condition of the tent- their response was Happy July 4! I could not believe it! Unfortunately, they don't have much competition- if any- in the party rental department. I would suggest looking over their stuff before leaving with it. Good luck with that party! read more
