Initial encounter was going so well for a gifted vehicle, transfer of title to new owner. Turned out we needed some additional documentation to make it happen due to names on current title and being gifted to son-in-law. Mother-in-law returned a few days later and advised to retrieve some additional documents to make the name(s) match in order to make it happen. After much ado, retrieved what was requested and returned to the merchant, with another representative of the company assisting us. This young woman was trying to be helpful but requested her "manager" to look over the documentation. The names on the current title didn't appear to match the birth certificate provided. I attempted to make it all make sense providing current driver's license, marriage certificates, birth certificate, divorce decrees, etc. The manager apparently didn't like my tone, albeit I was frustrated as this was the third encounter with the business and we truly thought we had all the documentation required. The manager flung our paperwork and in disgust advised we could try the MVA, seemingly not willing to work with us any longer. I asked for our paperwork to be placed back into the folder, organized like we had provided it. I had to leave before becoming totally irate and provided a "thank you...for nothing". I recommend going to anywhere else as one of their competitors was absolutely cordial and completed our process with the documentation provided...seems simple enough. Their competitor received a five star rating and we left very satisfied. I DO NOT recommend Diversified Tag & Title Service. read more

Completely unhelpful and frustrating. We've had to come back 3 times now and have finally given up and will try to get our seemingly simple title transfer done at another tag and title place. Associates here have been very unclear about what documents we've needed to have, what parts of forms need to be filled out, the quality of forms we've brought they've even straight up told us we should go to another place instead of helping us. The final straw is we came back for what we hoped would be the last time and they're closed from 12-1 for lunch. Absolutely cannot recommend this place read more

I mean I can't really rate them for service since I was unable to rely on the hours of operation. It's listed Online, on the front of their store - and was even told by an associate on the phone and in person earlier that day "They close at 5:30pm" Well here I am sitting in front of their store before 5 pm and they are closed! We've used Diversified Title for years. They've always provided exceptional service, and gone above and beyond. They're very responsive when you reach out. The staff are courteous and knowledgeable. Diversified is apparently geared to handle very simple MVA transactions for a fee. Anything else may prove frustrating. I went to them to transfer a title from a deceased grandmother to her grandson per her will. One associate told me to bring one set of documents, another something different. Each of the three times I returned something else was required--even after they told me there was only one more document required. Worse yet, you get the clear impression that you are there for their convenience, so don't dare question their service. Your wasted time is of no consequence. In fairness to them, it was a busy day, and as I learned later from another tag and title service, the MVA had a computer system meltdown today so title registrations were practically at a standstill. Had Diversified simply been transparent about this I could be more understanding during a time that is frustrating for all of us. As it is, their management refused to even talk to me about my experience. read more

Super helpful! DT&T gave me all the information that we needed to come prepared. I don't even think it took more than 30 mins. Yes, there is an additional fee to get your tags at DT&T but I was happy to pay it. Staff was real patient and pleasant. read more

The frederick MVA said it would take 2 weeks to get a clear title. Diversified told me they can take care of it in 3 days. Not only did they save me 17 days but gave me a lot of FREE advice. Never will I go to the MVA again, unless Diversified Tag and Title can't help. read more

I can't say enough good about this tag and title service.. I've gone here four times now, and have always been extremely happy.. Great friendly service from people who WANT to help, rather than the MVA who just wants you to go away. I was last in here yesterday to take care of an odd tag and title problem that I'm quite sure I'd NEVER have gotten solved in less than 2 or 3 trips to the MVA, and not only did I walk out with new tags in about 10 minutes completely satisfied, but also in talking to them, I found I had a simple solution to another tag problem I've been putting off for 2 years because I didn't want to deal with the MVA... I went back home, got the other vehicle title, and was out again in 10 minutes with the problem solved.. If only they could start giving driving tests so my son could get his license here, I'd never have to go back to the MVA! :-) read more
