Sad little lunch buffet. The biscuits were good. Otherwise, the food is just okay. Fried chicken was very dry and had been sitting before placed on the buffet. We attempted to eat there for lunch today. We were told just go sit over there and we sat down and waited and waited and no one remotely looked at us. They were too busy refilling the bar which we did not want. I got up to get someone and my husband said just wait. We waited for 5-7 minutes and no one. No one even said goodbye. I tried the breakfast buffet. The food was average. Standouts were the fluffy biscuits and tasty sausage gravy. I avoided the bacon because it was dripping grease. The restaurant was very loud and it was difficult to hear others sitting at the same table. The server was attentive about our beverages but not so much about preparing our checks. After waiting about five minutes, she presented them to us at the cashier stand. I didn't find out until later that the cashier had me pay for a friend instead of for myself. If I were to go again, I'd try it early (we had met there at 10 am on a Saturday) when it is likely not quite so busy and so loud. But I'll think twice - there are other and better breakfast options nearby like the Purple Onion. read more

I wanted something different, today I stopped in at the tee time cafe, The food was good along with the deserts, the wait staff was good and friendly, what got me was the fact there was a bout a 30ish year old boy that wanted to start taking down the buffet, and I had just sat down with my plate!? Immediately I felt I was rushed to leave, the sign says they are open until 2!? The time was about 1:20 Moments later a man came in with his granddaughter, the irresponsible kid calling the shots sail "Tell them the bar is closed" they stood there in confusion because it was within the posted OPEN hours, sadly walked away, a few minutes later another patron walked in, yep! A large group of us ate at Tee Time for an early lunch on Thursday April 13. They show case a buffet, but you can order off the menu. Several of the party got breakfast & were pleased. They serve basic southern breakfast items: sausage, eggs, bacon, pan cakes, grits & biscuits. Buffet was good typical southern fare. On this day, it included meatloaf - ok, fried chicken - good, chicken livers - very good, chicken gizzards - didn't try. The vegetables were rather bland, likely canned. It definitely needs updating and a good renovation, but I can tell locals come on a regular basis. The servers and hostesses knows them by name. Never in my life have I ever felt so RACIALLY DISCRIMINATED. We walked in no one bother to greet us or tell us how long the wait would be. My family and I stood there for 15 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. Then to top it off when we where seated there where empty tables all along the windows and the staff had decided to sit us in the far back of the restaurant beside the kitchen door that open and closes constantly. The couple that walked in right before us got seated instantly and where allowed to choose food from the menu (this couple was caucasian). It felt that since my family and I where people of color the staff had decided that we where only able to choose from the buffet and the menu was not available for us to choose from. We decided to have bfast buffet today which was a mistake. Most of the food was cold. I sat & watched for them to bring out fresh eggs, etc. I told the lady when I paid that if they turned the ceiling fans down the food might stay warm & she said then it would get hot in there & I said but the food might b better because it wasn't good at all & she said something like "huh" grunting. Me and my wife found this place by accident. We ate breakfast. They had a decent size breakfast buffet. The waitress was very attentive even tho the restaurant was kind of busy. Excellent place to grab breakfast at the beach! My friend got the buffet and I ordered the pineapple Belgium waffle. Both were great and my waffle was crispy on the outside and light on the inside.
