I love, love, love this place! Brandon and his team are so friendly, I love going here anytime of the day! They make the best drinks. They do smoothies, cold drinks and hot drinks, chai, you name it they got it. Not to mention bagels, Danishes and just about anything you could find in a cafe. Was in this coffee shop and a woman was concerned about her order, got yelled at and harassed for what? Because she wanted to know if her ticket was lost. She got told to get out and that she was banned after that the employees LOUDLY complained and had mouthed the poor girl and even followed her car. Visiting Holden Beach for the first time and needed a quick coffee run. This place was close to where we were staying so we stopped by. This coffee shop was super cute! The barista was super nice and patient with us, as we browsed the menu. We didn't know what to get because everything sounded and looked sooo good! I decided to get a snickerdoodle latte (decaf) and a chocolate waffle! Both were so so delicious. I will definitely be visiting this coffee shop again before we leave! read more

I love a good coffee shop and look for one everywhere I go. This is that place for me on/near Holden! Friendly staff, sometimes a bit short staffed (like everywhere right now) but even in those times the staff that is there are working hard with a positive attitude and smile on their face! A large variety of coffee drinks that you can get iced, frozen or hot--yours to choose. They also offer hot chocolate in any of the above options, as well as smoothie and tea options! They have a large board of flavor combos they they have made up and recommend, or you can make your own. It is bright and inviting inside, and they have a few things from local artists for sale by the bar seating which is a nice touch. It is always clean despite it being a busy place! There is high top seating inside as well as a shaded table outside, all though most people seem to get it for takeaway. read more

Food items are minimal, and there are no gluten free options, but the house blend coffee is quite tasty, and they have a wide variety of teas, along with seasonal specials. Awesome place for some coffee on Holden Beach. They have a huge variety of syups/flavors and neat signature lattes. The young lady working this morning was very friendly and did a wonderful job describing the differences in their hot coffee varieties. Their hot coffee was fantastic, with such rich flavor. My husband and I ordered iced coffee and it came with coffee ice cubes! That is the best thing ever so when your cubes start melting, it doesn't water it down. Cafe Ahora shares a building with a vacation rental business, but it has plenty of space for its customers. There's a couch and many bar chairs for seating. The prices are very reasonable too! We will definitely be back for some more delicious coffee! read more

I had visited here prior in past years and wasn't to impressed with the staff and inconsistent coffees. I recently stopped back in several times and it is a huge change since new owners took over. I assume it has been in last few months as the employees are different and so friendly and helpful. Drinks are wonderful again and the fresh pastries, bagels and waffles is an awesome find that they added here. It is now definitely my morning stop. read more

I don't often leave reviews but this place deserves a great one. Don't be fooled by its low key appearance. The brewed coffee here is better than any I've had anywhere else, including any Starbucks, Caribou or LCS. I've now stopped there two times on our way home from vacation, and my wife and I are both stunned by the flavor in their coffee. It's much closer to the way coffee is meant to taste than the garbage we've been fed all our lives. Whatever they're doing, keep it up!! read more

Nice little place but they got both my orders wrong. Ordered an espresso and a London fog...they put them in one cup. Also got another London fog but it was definitely not a London fog. Plus, my card didn't go through the first time and the girl taking my order asked if I had enough money on my card...TWICE. Then got out to my car and realized that my cup was cracked and my "London fog" was dripping. Didn't even go back in to ask for another cup because it was not worth going in and getting embarrassed again.. probably won't go back anytime soon and it's really disappointing that they are one of the only places in town to have good WiFi.
