I recently had an issue this last week. when I called to make an appointment the receptionist that answered was very, very rude, and rushed me off the phone. When I had questions regarding my situation she didn't want to be bothered and rushed me off the phone. When I arrived to my appointment she greeted me with an attitude and in the welcome sentence she jumped to say you have no insurance and we'll discuss payment after your visit. As if I didn't already know that and always pay in full the time of my visit. I left needing to see an oral surgeon. as I was leaving I asked for a referral. I was told I didn't need one. When I arrived the following day to my oral surgeon appt. they asked for my referral that I didn't have. I called Raios office (110 E. Main St Huntington) The same girl answered the phone. I told her the situation. She was so rude again. Told me she was emailing the referral to me, I asked her not to as I was already in the chair. She snapped and said "what's the difference if I send it to you and you send it to them" and slammed the phone on me. I immediatelytried calling back as did the receptionist at the other office and no one answered. It's hours later and I still don't receive the email. I do not appreciate being treated that way. As I have spent a lot of money in the past. Out-of-pocket full payment upfront. I travel 45 minutes to see them because I trust the doctors. And I value their opinion and as of right now they have never directed me the wrong way. I've had a wonderful experience with the other receptionist there, Stacy. She has taken great care of me and my family. But as for this other receptionist, the way she treated me was disgusting. It had me second-guessing if it's worth the 45 minute drive to see a doctor. I'm sure I find a doctor much closer Dr to me. I don't deserve to be treated that way and I will not be treated that way. As a business owner myself , I would not put up with my workers treating my customers this way.

They said that there was a waiting period for minor work until 12.1.2024 then for major service 6.1.2025 for Anthem. This did not make sense to me so I immediately contacted my HR person at my job via teams. Before my HR person got back to me they changed their tune by saying they just called my insurance and said there is no waiting period and the previous person they spoke too at Anthem gave them that info. My wife's insurance required a 150 copay for what i needed done so I paid it. I go to the back they did not check my pressure which is standard and wanted to administer anesthesia without telling me what they plan on doing step by step until I asked. They numbed me up at least 3 times but I was not getting to the point where they can do the work. This was god intervening. I told them I was not comfortable with this unprofesionalism and level of care and left. The anesthesia wore off 15 minutes later. I reached out to the state certification board to make a complaint let them know about my experience. This place need to be shut down.

I researched local dental providers within my new network and stumbled upon the stellar reviews from my fellow yelpers. Luckily this office is so close to home for me. I was politely greeted and filled out all intake information with the 2 front desk girls. They were professional and kind. I then met with hygienist Hazel who took her time cleaning my teeth, was very gentle and afterwards had a brief consult with me about flossing more to avoid plaque build up. The other hygienist Gloria was very welcoming and kind as well. Dr. Jacob entered the room and was extremely friendly and bubbling with a great sense of humor. He consulted with me about the enamel stains I've had on my two front teeth since a child. This is the first time a dentist has suggested an alternative to invasive porcelain veneers. For years, I've met with different providers and there has not been a solution. He discussed a mild Icon polish treatment and was happy to review what my insurance covers. I'm extremely satisfied with my visit and can't wait to return for this procedure so that I can feel more confident smiling. Just like rapper Cardi.B I just want to get a bag and fix my teeth. Dr Reale was compassionate, gentle, knowledgeable, funny, and thorough. Everything you could want in a pediatric dentist. Anyhow; My 15 year old developed a bad toothache when he ate sweets or drank or ate anything cold on the bottom left side of his mouth. We were recommended to try out Dr. Elizabeth Kitsos (a local pediatric dentist). When I made the appt, I clearly stated my son just had a check up but has a toothache. I was asked to send photos of his tooth and was given an appointment for a week later. The dental office called me the following day, stating they can get him in sooner being he was in pain. Appt day comes, we waited in waiting room and then exam room for a decent amount of time- ok fine, no big deal. When Dr. Elizabeth Kitsos finally entered the room she asked which tooth hurt and my son pointed to the area. She had different instruments she used to find the exact problem area. Guessing she couldn't see the cavity??? Dr. Elizabeth Kitsos asked if we had x - rays or photos and I told her yes; we emailed them days ago. She then found them. She repeatedly blew cold air, sprayed cold water, and then used another instrument used to tap hard on all the surrounding teeth as well. Dr. Kitsos also had her assistant blow air on the tooth/area for a good amount of time while she held a cell phone over my son's mouth to try to take her own picture. While this was going on my son was moaning in pain and they were completely oblivious, until he literally yelled "stop" After this charade went on for 25-35 minutes she had her assistant the 2 x-rays. Dr. Elizabeth Kitsos finally returned & explained although there may possibly be a cavity in the area, she wasn't sure, she wants us to visit an endodontist to see if something else is going on. (My son was in excruciating pain from all of the cold water spraying and air.) I literally asked the dentist if she could fill what looked like a cavity to me...and then we'll see the endodontist. Dr. Elizabeth Kitsos told me her staff only scheduled my son for a 15 minute consult not a filling appt so she didn't have time to fill the possible little cavity. She did say I could possibly come back to get it done maybe tomorrow or maybe even later that night. At that point, I didn't trust her judgement or didn't like the fact she was lying to me. She had a photo of my son's tooth with a picture of the cavity. She was well aware we were coming for a cavity to be filling by the mere fact they moved his appt up due to the pain he was in. IMO Dr. Elizabeth Kitsos is an incompetent liar. She was careless and unresponsive to my son's pain as she was checking for a cavity. She left him worse than how he started. Absolutely a horrible experience!! FYI- we went to a local dentist in FS. Got an appointment right away. FYI- It was a deep cavity- Cavity was filled today! Amazing experience!

From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted by a wonderfully welcoming, kid friendly staff, no wait and the office is spotless. In the waiting room there are activities for the kids and video games. It's nice, they have a TV to keep the kids occupied while their teeth are being checked. Dr Elizabeth as well as the dental assistants also are so friendly and awesome with both of my children. The first time we visited, my son was quite concerned as he had a troublesome loose baby tooth that was not coming out toward the back, a little hard to maneuver. Dr Elizabeth put him at ease with her natural super friendly mannerisms, the kindest smile and funny banter. When it was time for the numbing injection, she knew exactly what to say... he thought it was fun as he was going to receive "sleepy-juice", opened wide, didn't wince or notice that he received a numbing injection. I sat there amazed and said to myself "what a pro"!! All dentists are trained however that type of care and skill comes from within. We recommended Dr Elizabeth Kitsos and her practice to our friends. Their children love her. Some have gone to college, come back during their breaks and insist on continuing to be treated by Dr Elizabeth, their favorite pediatric dentist :) We can't wait for our next visit. The first call was my wife who had explained the situation and we needed to see someone ASAP. She was put on hold only to be told that there was nothing for another 1.5 weeks. I called immediately after to appeal since he was in constant pain and was unable to eat for two days (we'd been to the ER and they only put on a layer that came off the next day--the office was closed Sunday and Monday). Suddenly, the receptionist's tone changed and we were shut down that they couldn't take us and had no alternative suggestions for us. About an hour later, Dr. Ioannou called me directly to make it right. He found a way for Dr. Matt to see us immediately. When we showed up, we were seen very quickly. And while the tooth had to be extracted, they were great with my son. (I've never done this before but I deleted an older post I made because of how quickly Dr. Ioannou responded and how friendly they were to my son; I was not asked to remove it or edit my post in any way)
