I researched local dental providers within my new network and stumbled upon the stellar reviews from my fellow yelpers. Luckily this office is so close to home for me. I was politely greeted and filled out all intake information with the 2 front desk girls. They were professional and kind. I then met with hygienist Hazel who took her time cleaning my teeth, was very gentle and afterwards had a brief consult with me about flossing more to avoid plaque build up. The other hygienist Gloria was very welcoming and kind as well. Dr. Jacob entered the room and was extremely friendly and bubbling with a great sense of humor. He consulted with me about the enamel stains I've had on my two front teeth since a child. This is the first time a dentist has suggested an alternative to invasive porcelain veneers. For years, I've met with different providers and there has not been a solution. He discussed a mild Icon polish treatment and was happy to review what my insurance covers. Dr Reale was compassionate, gentle, knowledgeable, funny, and thorough. Everything you could want in a pediatric dentist. Anyhow; My 15 year old developed a bad toothache when he ate sweets or drank or ate anything cold on the bottom left side of his mouth. We were recommended to try out Dr. Elizabeth Kitsos (a local pediatric dentist). When I made the appt, I clearly stated my son just had a check up but has a toothache. I was asked to send photos of his tooth and was given an appointment for a week later. The dental office called me the following day, stating they can get him in sooner being he was in pain. Appt day comes, we waited in waiting room and then exam room for a decent amount of time- ok fine, no big deal. When Dr. Elizabeth Kitsos finally entered the room she asked which tooth hurt and my son pointed to the area. She had different instruments she used to find the exact problem area. Guessing she couldn't see the cavity??? Dr. Elizabeth Kitsos asked if we had x - rays or photos and I told her yes; we emailed them days ago. She then found them. She repeatedly blew cold air, sprayed cold water, and then used another instrument used to tap hard on all the surrounding teeth as well. Dr. Kitsos also had her assistant blow air on the tooth/area for a good amount of time while she held a cell phone over my son's mouth to try to take her own picture. While this was going on my son was moaning in pain and they were completely oblivious, until he literally yelled "stop" After this charade went on for 25-35 minutes she had her assistant the 2 x-rays. Dr. Elizabeth Kitsos finally returned & explained although there may possibly be a cavity in the area, she wasn't sure, she wants us to visit an endodontist to see if something else is going on. (My son was in excruciating pain from all of the cold water spraying and air.) I literally asked the dentist if she could fill what looked like a cavity to me...and then we'll see the endodontist. Dr. Elizabeth Kitsos told me her staff only scheduled my son for a 15 minute consult not a filling appt so she didn't have time to fill the possible little cavity. She did say I could possibly come back to get it done maybe tomorrow or maybe even later that night. At that point, I didn't trust her judgement or didn't like the fact she was lying to me. She had a photo of my son's tooth with a picture of the cavity. She was well aware we were coming for a cavity to be filling by the mere fact they moved his appt up due to the pain he was in. IMO Dr. Elizabeth Kitsos is an incompetent liar. She was careless and unresponsive to my son's pain as she was checking for a cavity. She left him worse than how he started. Absolutely a horrible experience!! FYI- we went to a local dentist in FS. Got an appointment right away. FYI- It was a deep cavity- Cavity was filled today! Amazing experience!

The first call was my wife who had explained the situation and we needed to see someone ASAP. She was put on hold only to be told that there was nothing for another 1.5 weeks. I called immediately after to appeal since he was in constant pain and was unable to eat for two days (we'd been to the ER and they only put on a layer that came off the next day--the office was closed Sunday and Monday). Suddenly, the receptionist's tone changed and we were shut down that they couldn't take us and had no alternative suggestions for us. About an hour later, Dr. Ioannou called me directly to make it right. He found a way for Dr. Matt to see us immediately. When we showed up, we were seen very quickly. And while the tooth had to be extracted, they were great with my son. (I've never done this before but I deleted an older post I made because of how quickly Dr. Ioannou responded and how friendly they were to my son; I was not asked to remove it or edit my post in any way)

They were his front teeth and for whatever reason they disintegrated at a fast pace and I took good care of his oral hygiene knowing his genetically prone to have bad teeth like me. I wish he can accept adults like me. His office is kid oriented with 2 pinball machines, a beautiful fish tank, kid books and an open floor plan so the kids are not afraid being in an enclosed dentist office. How cool it is too play video games when he works on your teeth. I have never heard crying or screaming from any child in this office. He has a way with kids. He always explained what he plans to do with you. He never lies and earns trust from the kids. My kid is never afraid of dentist appointment and I wish I can do the same with my own. His appointment is always on time. Again, I wish he accept adult patients and I will be the first on line.
