As a professional photographer this was devastating! In addition we were not offered the option of a solid state drive, something we would have paid a premium for. I took the iMac to Computer Revolutions and they restored my data from the old hard drive causing additional expense and time however I'm back in business. We made the trek out here, and they were super friendly and happy to take her shredder. And it's FREE. They accept a long list of electronics which I've attached a picture of. They will shred documents if you need it, but you'll have to pay for that. They also accept your typical recycled paper and aluminum goods. Keep in mind they're only open M-F 9a-330p.
