My son and his troop often come here to go hiking and camping. I love that this a little slice of nature in the city. Because of the sites popularity with campers and hikers, there is limited space to park when visiting the grounds (regardless of the time you go). It may benefit those who are camping in a large group to rideshare.

Lots of flowing water after a rainy day. Just a little muddy.

We have been exploring trails now that my kids are old enough to do a small hike. This place is perfect for this. The pictures I had seen did not look that good for camping but it is actually not that bad. It does not look like the camping is very private though because many people are hiking around so be ready for that. It seems perfect for a small camping trip though. The tent section has gravel too. There is only an outhouse for the restroom. No showers. Lots of little trails going to the river water. We went after the rain so it was a little muddy. I'd recommend going a few days after rain. Overall though a nice walk and lots of rocks for my kids to throw in water.

We came to sit near the water. It was beautiful and calm. We went down the back entrance to the right and took the second access point. Perfect lazy day!

I didn't even know this awesome place existed until I got a great book from REI about 60 hikes in 60 miles of Austin & San Antonio. This was a great camping/hiking location. You have to check it out for your self. Placed along the river side of the San Gabriel river at the top of lake Georgetown it has amazing hiking spots. The hiking is medium ability levels due to the big hills, but rewarding views. The trails total 25 miles around the entire lake. I wasn't there to camp but the facilities were very nice, but nothing crazy. There are now showers or running toilets so you have to be wanting to do REAL camping. The spots are groomed nicely and open. There were grills, and spots for fires. I can't wait to go back here and hike some more or even maybe a weekend stay-cation.

    Path to river.

He gets one on one time with the coaches and they truly value him as a person. He has learned emotional control and perseverance by being at Courage and it has truly helped him take in feed back and work harder overall. His confidence has greatly improved and he has conquered a lot of his fears that he previously had. I am grateful for the owners and the coaches at Courage for how much they have supported my son.

The coaches strike the ideal balance of kindness, structure, and accountability--they are encouraging, but they also make sure the kids stay focused and really work on their technique. That kind of consistency is exactly what our girls need. What I've noticed is that some people complain about the staff being "stern," but honestly, that's one of the main reasons this program works so well. Kids learn discipline, respect, and resilience alongside their cheer skills. The staff expect the athletes to show up, listen, and give their best effort--and the results speak for themselves. Our girls aren't just "going through the motions"; they're learning proper form, building strength, and being pushed to grow in a positive way. And the proof? They ask every single day if it's cheer practice day. That level of excitement says it all. If you're looking for a cheer gym that builds confidence and structure while teaching real technique and accountability, Courage is the place. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, our experience in the toddler room was very different. The front entrance door that uses a key code did not always close and lock properly, and the toddler gate leading to the right hallway did not lock securely, which raised safety concerns. A lot of times at pick up that hallway also smelled like a trash bag of poop was stored somewhere. Many toys were kept on high shelves and out of reach, leading children to climb on the shelf in order to access them. During transitions and diaper changes, children were often left without activities, resulting in restlessness and pacing. Cleanup also fell almost entirely on the teachers, as children were not taught or encouraged to help put toys away, which appeared to limit the teachers' ability to support children who were struggling emotionally. Communication was also difficult. At pickup, teachers were understandably busy managing multiple children, but there was little insight into how my daughter's day had gone. Messages sent through the app often had delayed responses. There was also a required supply list that included items such as a water paint kit, colored pencils, a paint apron, and crayons, but these supplies were never used in the classroom. My 2.5-year-old thrives in a structured environment. In this classroom, much of the day was unstructured free play, and she struggled significantly. During her final full week, she spent most of each day sitting and crying. She appeared overwhelmed, isolated, and unable to engage. On three consecutive days, photos shared as "gym activities" showed children sitting against a wall watching the teacher, whereas earlier in her enrollment gym time involved active movement and play. That earlier structure had been far more appropriate for her needs. While the staff were kind, the lack of structure and engagement negatively affected my child's well-being and ultimately led us to seek a different environment. Although another classroom was offered, seeing her cry consistently on the camera and struggle at drop-off made it difficult to continue.

My kids attended this school for about 8 months…read more There are a few pros including: access to cameras, full Spanish immersion, multiple rooms around the school (library, gym, playground) to make it more like a real school. However, I think the cons may out weigh the benefits. Some of my complaints include: there didn't seem to be any sort of curriculum in the toddler classrooms and barely any toys or activities done. They just wandered aimlessly a lot of the time. I know this age is hard, but since moving her to a new school, I've noticed just how much INIC was lacking. A lot of the staff don't speak English at all which made it difficult to communicate at times to figure out what went on/any issues with kids during the day. A big thing for me was my kids were sick literally every single week by the weekend. They'd recover by Monday and be sick again by the next weekend. It was miserable. My kids have gone to many different schools and camps but they have never been as sick as when they attended here. All that said, I think it really makes a difference who the teacher is, because we loved the communication and kindness of our oldest's teacher. I think overall they just have a lot of growing to do to make curriculum more robust and the structure/rules, and maybe cleanliness comparable to other schools/daycares.

She says without a doubt that Stephen at Dolce is her favorite instructor of all those she has had. She enjoys her lessons and he is really good at communicating with her. The only thing I would like to see as an improvement is a good way to motivate her to practice. She has joined the Youth Chamber Orchestra at Dolce and that has helped a lot because there are other kids her age that she plays with and she doesn't want to be embarrassed by not knowing her part. Also, having performances to prepare for helps, but I wish they made a bigger deal about the performances approaching and perhaps had some system of accountability for the kids to work for, even if it was just a little prize. P.S. I save 5 star reviews for very few places, so 4 stars from me is pretty dang awesome!!
