The space is open and clean with a mix of booth and table seating. I would give my overall experience a 3.5 rating but what stood out the most about the experience was the fantastic service from our server. Shout out to the young gal with glasses who helped us. She was very attentive, polite, and friendly, all while being super chill. She was simply wonderful. Like 30% tip type of wonderful. However, the other gal at the counter seemed to have woken up on the wrong side of the bed. She was clearly a manager or owner because she kept instructing our wonderful server how to do certain side work. I can never seem to understand why some managers or owners just won't smile and foster a welcoming atmosphere for the business. I get that you might be busy doing admin. work or whatever it is you're doing but you can multitask and slip a smile or two in. It literally takes one second to smile. A simple smile and thank you goes a loooooong way. Now the food. The broth had a rich flavor with an overpowering taste of cinnamon. If you're a fan of robust broths with a strong taste of cinnamon, this place is for you. I was glad to see that they offer fresh noodles (+1). The food was mediocre. I did not like the texture of the meet at all. My husband had steak and eggs and he wasn't a fan either. Lots of grizzle in the meat. Chicken eggrolls. Comes with 7 small roll and a fish sauce dipping sauce. They have a nice crunch but lack flavor. The only flavor came from the fish sauce and even that was mild. I had tried when it first opened and now. For the previous visit, I got the chicken vermicelli, the presentation was nice but entree left much to be expected. The vermicelli was good and I liked it, but not a fan of the chicken which was not terrible but not awesome. For the recent visit, I had the chicken pho which at first eating, it was tasty with the fried onion and broth. After some time, the fried onion did get soggy. Also, I do not like the skin on chicken and they had this in the chicken pho. And they do not have the original sriracha. Service was ok and the store had a good amount of tables. My first review from 2 years ago was asked to be taken down by the supposed new owner who claims took have taken over about 6 months ago (until I noticed now that this "new owner" has been responding to reviews over a year ago. Seems like Ive been duped). I decided to go give the place another try which ended up with very similar results. Entered the place with my wife and kid and was not greeted. Was just looked at by the employees for a bit as if this was not a restaurant. After a few moments, the young male employee seemed to be the only one who was interested in working and seated us. My wife ordered pho and as I ordered my pho bo kho, my wife decided to add one more kind of meat for her pho. The unfriendly waitress seemed to be very annoyed about this and stated that she now has to start the entire order all over now in her little tablet. Very negative energy. Now to the food... It was exactly the same as it was the first time I tried it. Noodles overcooked and breaks apart very easily. Portions are pretty small and the meat was not only very chewy but they do not give much of it. Soup Broth was a 4/10 Everything else in the soup was a 2.5/10 The first time I went, my wife and I were there over an hour before closing along with a couple other customers eating and they decided to stack all the chairs and spray cleaner all over the place while we were eating. This time they didnt do that so I would rate this visit a 2/5 just because the guy working there actually seemed normal. But since I was tricked into removing my first review on what seemed like an outright lie of "completely new overall ownership" I'm definitely going to have to go with 1/5. read more

As I sit here to full to breathe, I will review. The Bun Bo Hue was spot on! I had to sneak a bite! He enjoyed it thoroughly. Emptied the bowl! Our son was accommodated right away. As you may know kids are starving as soon as they arrive to any restaurant which was appreciated. He wanted to keep it simple, classic, steamed rice with a fried egg which was our servers recommendation. Exactly what the kid didn't even know he desperately needed. We also got him a banh mi (just the bread) which we all got to enjoy. The service: aside from the great recommendations as well as explaining the dishes, he took our order by heart and didn't miss a thing. He was very attentive to everyone else there too and came to our aid whenever we needed it. All in all, great service. The place is small but can serve a good crowd. Well lit and clean.
