They got back to me quickly and answered all my questions (some of the other companies forgot to reply to my emails at all until checking in weeks later). I was skeptical about the price, but my neighbors had used Gem so I was able to see the finished work, and it stood up well even years later. The pricing is simple - fixed costs per square foot. The other companies gave me a base price but said it might be higher based on complexity. They came to my home twice - once for a site visit and once to do the actual work. They were on time within the minute. They handled every detail of my floor including tight spaces and areas under the bottom stair with little vertical clearance. I felt bad for others having to address and resolve issues. Process was slowed...have to ask my manager....and coupled with the rain, not a good experience. The place finally looks decent, but the real story I tell those who ask is to look elsewhere.
