Love our police department and love the neighborhood watch program to easily call 696-help to report suspicious activity without feeling like you are taking away from emergency calls since they use this program to send an officer to check out the suspicious activity when they have availability and also it gets reported and they keep that info incase they need it to help with a crime. Absolutely baffled by the fact that our tax dollars pay for this department! I spent over 30 minutes on the phone just to ask for a simple incident report!! Then to find out that a check needs to be mailed wouldn't be a big deal If I didn't deal with another DEPT which didn't request $$. That's very odd and sketchy. I'm very unhappy with the service I received on the phone from officer Reyes Adames very unhelpful. 5-17-22. Hotel had called police "sheriff" to harass me. I was rest in there grass and was asked to leave. I moved to side walk and sheriff then said i can't be their either. Walked 1/2 block and chilled in dirt then two dirt bag sheriffs came to harass me again. This time they took my knife. I asked for it back and was told I gave it..... I didn't remove it..... well other sheriff decided to give it back by tossing it in dirt. Will be filing complaint on 5-18-22. Can't be having a ruff day and rest while walking home.... read more

I asked for a welfare check for my two kids and got a call back from this deputy by the last name of Candelas Badge ID #5360. She was very rude and unprofessional. She even accused me of harass the other party. This is ridiculous and we shouldn't be wasting our tax payers fund on these people who work at this Temecula Police Department. They are not doing their duty as suppose to. It is sad that we have this kind of corrupted police department who does not want to provide security to the community. I filed a report with the department and it was denied. Officers enter my home under false information and several officers attacked me and arrested me under false medical information. After I was strapped down and taken from my home in a bra and cheer shorts my home was searched without my knwolegded. My home and vehicle was searched and officers took my registered weapon from my lock box which was stored properly. After attempting to get my weapon I was told that I would get it back when the officer was ready. My second attempt I was told the officer transferred and I had to request to see someone else. When I asked for paperwork they refused to give me anything and told me to call the Sheriff. I left seeked legal advice. The lawyer said all he had to do was paperwork so ti save money I did went to the office to request my weapon again myself. I went back to Temecula Police and told them I got legal counsel and wanted proof they had my weapon in their posession, how it was taken and why. they only gave me the "property report" showing it was there. The clerk told me because of HIPPA rights I could not have any information. I made her aware that HIPPA protected me not the officer, so how can you refuse to give me myth without my own information. Nothing was give showing how my weapon was retrieved from my home. My weapon was taken on 1 Sep 2020 and I still have not received it back. I was told last week to now make an appointment with the Sheriff in which I am still waiting on a response. The way I was treated and aggressively handle by male officers was completely unnecessary and emotionally traumatizing. The illegal search of my home was completely a violation of my rights. To consistently refuse to give me back my weapon based one if an officers "feels like it" as I was told is simply an abuse of power. If I am able to carry a weapon as a Marine and protect this country, I should be able to have my weapon to protect my own house. No officer should decide if I am to have a weapon just as he didn't decide for me to serve this country for this and everyone else. I want my registered weapon back and I will again file a complaint to someone higher. read more

I love the Temecula PD! Whenever we have any incidents, big or small at work, we can call them up and they show up within five minutes to check on us and the area. They were so polite, wore a mask in our store, and didn't talk down to me when I was unsure if I handled a potentially dangerous situation correctly. I feel really safe knowing they have our back when we need it! read more

There was a police car and a helicopter in our neighborhood late on a Saturday night, and we couldn't hear the announcements being made over their loudspeaker. So I called dispatch to ask what as going on. The dispatcher didn't know at first but didn't give up, tracked it down, and let us know that the incident had been resolved and there was no threat to the public. She was very reassuring and professional. Good to know that they are there when we need them. They risk their lives everyday to keep us safe, and I wish they knew how much we appreciate them. No compassion whatsoever!!! On my way to a funeral, I had my Google maps on my phone giving me directions by voice, as I am not from the area. Police pulls me over and tickets me. However, you would think given the circumstances, and how I was on my way to a funeral, and rehearsing my eulogy for my brother that maybe I would be let off on a warning. Wrong. Cop was rude and didn't care one bit. Cold hearted!!! Keep in mind, I wasn't speeding, swerving, tailgating, running a red light, or had my eyes off the road. Google maps was giving me voice commands and I had full control of my car and eyes on the road. Talk about ruthless. read more

When reading the reviews about Temecula Police, I felt compelled to write an accurate and supportive description. I can understand the frustration of receiving a traffic citation and the pain of paying a high fine. I too get annoyed when I see an officer parked with an aimed radar gun. That said, I have great respect for the Temecula Police Department. I lived in Temecula for 11 years and just recently moved to Murrieta. During the last decade, I called for support from the Temecula Police more than once and received expeditious and courteous responses. The officers were consistently timely, thorough and professional. I clearly recall one officer following up the next day with a telephone call to advise me of the status. I always felt my family was secure and had confidence that the Temecula Police would be responsive and supportive if a problem occurred. They have my trust, appreciation and respect. read more

Do not get ink fingerprints done at the old town station. Horrible job and unclear. They arent licensed for it.

Rude, unprofessional and in no way serve as "peace" officers. Some officers should take a course in ethics, and community interaction prior to continuing their services. Next time an officer snatches my license by reaching into my vehicle will get his hand cut off by a suddenly closing window. I will pay my fine for using my navigation but will never respect an officer that is nothing but a grunt. read more

Horrible. I have never recieved a ticket from one of them, but tried to ask a question in the parking lot at Great Oak High School. I'd just dropped my daughter at school and approached an officer with a question about traffic flow. He went ballistic on a 50 yr old mom for no reason. Ridicules. The man should be fired for treating the public the way he did. Again, I had done nothing wrong and was not receiving a ticket. I approached them with a question!!! read more

Has their cops set up in front of school zones and construction zones in order to increase the amount of their ticket revenues. One morning I was going to school and turned on a yellow, I precede to see his sirens. Then he argues with me about the issue and then writes me a 490.00 ticket. I have a stalker it's coming up on 3 years soon! Anyways I wrote a report. The cop who took it then told me he knew the chick. I then talk to his supervisor then for him to say it's okay that he was on the case even being that he was obviously one sided. Anyways month later I find that the cop that was working on my case deleting the ENTIRE CASE WITHOUT MY KNOWING ALL IN FAVOR FOR THIS CHICK. I am more than appauled and honestly that's tampering with evidence. I'm speaking with a lawyer soon to see what my options are. However the police in Temecula and murrieta aren't even here to protect us. I've called no exaggeration probably about 50+ times to arrest this chick for them to take forever and her run away everytime. She's keyed my BRAND NEW SPORTS CAR WORTH MORE THAN HER HOUSE. TWICE!!!!!!! And then recently according to my mechanic she may have gone under my BRAND NEW SPORTS CAR and poured either sugar in my tank or messed with the engine itself still hearing from service on the cause! But if it's true it is her who messed with my vehicle both this station and that officer will not be liking what I have to say/ will do legally! read more

My friend and I were told by our hotel that uber and lyft are abundant in the area as well as taxis. We tried to call one in old town last night and none were available so we started making the dark scary walk that was 1.7 miles back to our hotel. This is an unknown area for us as we're from out of town. It was uncomfortable as several cars passed us and were making catcalls and yelling rude things at us and the road is not well lit. We saw a police car and 2 officers getting coffee at the gas station on Jefferson. We thought we're safe!!! We politely asked them if they would drive us home or for any sort of help/advice on what to do which took a lot of courage on our end, as we had no other options and felt unsafe in the unlit unknown area. They were total jerks to us and treated us like we were morons for even asking for help. We only had 1-2 drinks supporting a small local business and were merely trying to do the safe and responsible thing, as my cousin was killed by a drunk driver 2 months ago. As we hopelessly made the long walk back, there were a couple guys that came out of the bushes, some homeless, and some unsightly characters. The sidewalk ended and there was no walkway but the street where cars were speeding or to walk near a long row of bushes and dark shrubbery where someone could easily be hiding. It was very unsafe and in almost complete pitch black as 2 females in an unknown area, we were so scared. What if we had been mugged, raped, kidnapped, etc? Not so crazy because it very well could have happened! The officers had the chance to drive 2 minutes on their way, but chose not to out of sheer rudeness and laziness. What if we had been the officers' wife, daughter or friend? I thought officers are here to protect and serve, and they were not busy with other calls as they were getting coffees. On top of it, they drove back and forth and passed us twice in their car while we were walking home which was creepy. They had the opportunity to help us and chose not to keep us safe, and the driving back and forth made us feel as if they were mocking us. Even if they would have pointed us in the direction of help, like recommending a different taxi service for instance, that would have helped. Very disappointed with the Temecula PD here. We had such a great time earlier that we wanted to recommend Temecula as a vacation destination to our friends in Los Angeles and Orange County, but we won't be returning now and will be warning everyone to stay away. To the female officer that impounded my car yesterday for being parked in front of my apartment, there are two types of people in the world, those who care and try to help and those who dont. Last year at this time, I was homeless. By the grace of God I lucked into my place that usually has a 3 year waiting list. I have struggled and over came more than most will ever in their lives. Two weeks ago a very generous person gave me that car for free because they saw my need, I take my 13 year old daughter to school in Murrieta and pick her up EVERYDAY. She was the one you ignored crying on the steps when you took our car! Yes the registration was "incomplete" but, was fully paid. I had all the paperwork and showed you, yet you could care less. All I needed was a smog and was waiting for extra money so I could get it finished. They towed my car LESS than a half mile to the yard and it cost $250. Plus $70 storage A DAY. Being a struggling single mom I will not be able to pay that. So thank you for being you I honestly think you need to make a career change because the type of person you are....should not be serving the public. read more

Was pulled over in June 2015 for, according to the cop 60 in a 45. This kid (he must have been 22/23) was pulling out of Nicholas where the jack in the box is as I was going 51 mph and chased me down and lit me up. I was extremely annoyed because I know he didn't have his laser out and he pulled me over merely to generate revenue for the city. As always I don't respect people who don't show respect back. I asked to see his laser reading because he wrote on the citation that he lasered me at 60 mph and wrote visual at 59 mph. He said he didn't have to show me. Wrote me up and drove away. I think his last name was Jimenez. Completely unprofessional and condescending individual. Thankfully the city tossed the citation because the wrong speed limit was posted in that area. I was going to contest it anyways because he was in the Wrong. I don't know what it is about this area (Temecula, Murrieta,Menifee) but they literally hire the worst people to enforce the law. read more
