    Pick your steak!
    Reggie H.

Buddy of mine suggested I'd make a stop here! It didn't disappoint. Temper takes, "have it you way"' to another level. Simple, pick your part of the steak you want, bam it's cooked to perfection. The cabbage was a slam too. Service and atmosphere were great also. See you soon...

Service was okay. Ambience was nice sitting by grill. Very noisy and plates were small. Good place for apps and a cocktail

The lamb had barely any meat and the prime rib was kinda dry. At least the goat was juicy and moist. Overall, I wasn't impressed by Temper. I don't think I'll be coming back.

Temper was a very interesting restaurant and overall I had a pretty good meal here. Temper specializes in Tapa's and the food is mostly all served as small plates. My colleagues and I were looking for a quick bite to eat after a busy day and most places couldn't get us in because of reservations, but Temper got us right in. When you walk in you first see a counter with a hostess. The you can either take the Lift or the stairs down to where the tables are. They have big long booths, tables and an open kitchen where you can see what they got cooking. The menu is very modern and the menu ranges from a wide selection of tapa's to a pretty large steak menu. We decided to just go with the Tapa's. As soon the our waiter came to take our drink orders I got some Aged Beef Nachos for the table. It was not nachos like I had expected, it was tortilla chips with a bowl of quesso with beef mixed in the cheese sauce. It was really good, but not really nachos. For my main dish I ordered 3 Wild Mushroom Tacos, Tossed Salad and the Smacked Cucumbers. All were pretty good except for the tossed salad. I thought I wanted some greens, but it was not tossed at all. I actually don't think their was any dressing on it at all. The tacos were interesting. 2 other people at my table also ordered the wild mushroom tacos, so instead of bringing out 3 plates they put them all on 1 big plate. That did not bother us as we are all friends. The Smacked Cucumbers were my favorite as they had a great pickle taste to them. They were heavenly! This place is not too expensive and the food quality is really good for what we pay. My friend has the cheeseburger taco and even though it did not look appetizing, she said it was really good and tasted pretty fresh! Overall I think this is a nice little restaurant in London Town! The food is fresh and its a fun place to go with friends and try different tapa's.

We had an unique and enjoyable experience. It was a really cozy chill atmosphere. We could relax from our trip while watching the cooks working on preparing our food. The service was very friendly. As French tourists we were pleasantly surprised to meet a French waiter who took the time to welcome us and explain the concept of the restaurant and gave us advice to guide our choice. We were not disappointed at all by the dishes that were so tasty and delicious. Although the side dish (gratin) was a bit too oily, the tacos were excellent and the meat was a real treat. It was a great discovery.

I'm not sure why the ratings are so low on Temper? This has to be one of my current favs! The restaurant itself is very spacious and the best slots are at the bar around the central cooking area. The staff are attentive and knowledgable around their broad Mezcal list and advise well and are passionate about the menu. The cheese burger taco we had was well cooked and tasty. However to be perfectly honest I would seriously consider going all in and just grabbing a bunch of mains and sides. This is where it's at! The Argentinian sausage, the smoked goat and pork carnitas in particular are to die for. For side the grilled Hispi is left field and refreshing - perfect for cutting through the richness. Wash all that down with a selection from their very well rounded wine list (mid range online with the restaurant pricing) - we had a bottle of Californian red. And you will leave happy.

One of Soho's current 'it' restaurants, buzzy, loud, atmospheric and rammed full off fun seeking people.  Having booked a table for 2 earlier in the day, we arrived at 8pm and were swiftly seated at the bar. An observant member of staff immediately noticed that we looked somewhat uncomfortable at the bar, which was clearly not designed for 6ft tall overweight individuals! We were reseated again in moments and were most impressed by our attentive waitress.  Our starter arrived quickly but our mains were delayed for over an hour, very strange as many other tables were being served. The taco starter was somewhat diminutive but the flavours were all fresh and brimming with flavour. The same could be said for our mains, beef, goat and lamb but a real shame about the long wait.  A good night out and I'd go again, hopefully the overall service would be better next time!

This place was on my radar for a while so while out in Soho my friend and I decided to try it and it was delicious (mind that we were starving so we might have been biased ) I love the atmosphere of the place it wasnt too busy and we got sit at the bar where we met the cool meat chef for the shift! So to the dishes we both opted for Sunday Roast: beef for me and lamb for my friend and both were delicious. I was really disappointed that they ran out of porchetta but I will come back! Also tried the cocktail sage advice and it was really good so if you like meat and cocktails this is your place!

Stumbled upon this place looking for an after work meal and pre theatre dinner. It was delicious! Sat at the bar and watched the chefs cook. The tacos were unreal as was the mezcal. What a delightful surprise!

A selection of all five meats, as well as beef fat and cheese fired potatoes (not a hit), and the fantastic jalapeño-pesto burrata.

Pricey but lots of options and the food was delicious. I would go back just for the lamb tacos and the bone marrow.

I won't lie, I was initially turned off by the outside look and we were first in the restaurant (empty restaurants are never a good sign); however, my original trepidation was immediately laid to rest when our waitress came. She was friendly and walked us through all our menu questions and provided some helpful suggestions and very quickly the restaurant filled up. The arepas were fantastic, cheese on top was melted perfection, and the tamales were bursting with flavor and the was moist and delicious. I would highly recommend a stop here, just make sure to bring cash.

The service is friendly, and feels genuine, and the ambiance is almost as if you were in Colombia! There's usually some Spanish football on the TV which adds to the authenticity of the restaurant. It's always full of Colombians, and other spanish speakers, which could be a little daunting for some, but it's evidence that they do a good job with the food! The empanadas taste great, and of course come with the great spicy salsa verde, super tasty. I ALWAYS go for the Bandeja Paisa, and I'm satisfied every time! The meat is good, although it can be a little over cooked at times, but not often. The rice, arepa, egg, beans and plantain are always cooked perfectly (I think they've had a lot of practice)!! The drinks choices are great, you can even order a Refajo (recommended) which is kinda like beer with Irn-Bru. Tastes great with all the meat on a Bandeja Paisa! They also have some great juices which you can have with milk or water. I usually get the Maracuja with water... refreshing! To say the prices for food are reasonable is a real understatement. £12 for Bandeja Paisa of this quality is awesome! If you're ever in Shepherds Bush, check this place out. Be warned, they close unusually early on Sundays, around 7pm.

While it may be a bit on the pricey side, the experience is undeniably worth every penny, especially if you're looking for a night of shared dishes, attentive service, and great atmosphere. the mood is perfect for an intimate dinner or a celebration with friends, as it was when i came here for my birthday! the guac was prepared on the table, and had a great freshness to it, but was not worth the money imo bc it tasted pretty ordinary to me. same for the antichuchos de pollo - they were so small and tasted like regular skewers to me - they had a nice smoky flavor, but nothing that couldn't be achieved at home easily. i liked the trio de maiz, which had many different types of maiz, and was presented beautifully! the dish was very fresh and almost nutty. also liked their take on patatas bravas, which was perfectly crispy and with a delicious creamy sauce. love love loved the tiradito de pez limon, which had the most melt in your mouth yellowtail crudo/sashimi. it was paired with an amazing slightly spicy green chili sauce, and overall flavors were phenomenal. the orange tobiko wasn't there though... the salmon was one of the best things i had that night - perfectly cooked and tender, melty and delicious! amazing flavor pairings, scrumptious overall! dessert was one of the highlights of the meal as well. the churros were citrusy and fried to perfection, and paired with a great sauce. my personal favorite was the passionfruit mango pavlova thing, which had such a bright tartness! everything was served on what looked like homemade pottery, so lovely! the price point seemed a little irrational for what we received, but everything was delicious, and the overall experience was amazing! highly recommend if you're feeling a bit posh or just want to treat yourself!

Both the staff there were very humble and accommodating, working non stop to dish up delicious plates of Columbian food at portions big enough to feed two and all at affordable prices. At the front of the counter were a lovely selection of starters containing many unusual and delicious looking Colombian street foods. I say unusual but that is because I have not seen many of these delicacies in London before. Chorizo on cornbread This was okay. I think the cornbread let it down a bit being quite dry and bland but the chorizo itself made it worthwhile. Made from grounded meat and spices the texture was very moist and creamy, tasting much like processed meat. But I liked it and the heat built up after each bite making it quite spicy. Beef empanadas Very different to a lot of the Spanish versions I've had as the filling was more fluffy due to the addition of mash potato in it too instead of being very meaty. It was very flavourful, comforting, with the beef giving it the oomph of flavour it needed. The soft texture was a lovely contrast to the crispy cornmeal fried batter too which sadly started to become slightly hard and chewy from being left out too long and then reheated. But for the cheap prices they're charging, I am not complaining. Papas Rellanas (stuffed potatoes) These were definitely the highlight of our meal. Fried potato balls made of mash potatoes stuffed with rice, beef and onions. It starts off being crispy before you break the thin fried outer shell and reach into the lovely generous soft fluffy filling. It was seasoned perfectly with mild spices, adding complexity and depth to the ground beef and sweet onions. Comfort food at its best Pollo a la plancha A delicious plate of wholesome food. For someone who doesn't like chicken breast I was so surprised at how much I loved this dish. It was obvious that the chicken was marinated for long hours to give out the lovely mild savoury spices against its natural sweet flavours with a lovely hint of smokiness as a result of being beautifully grilled. It was succulent and tender too. It came with a lovely side of braised red beans, cooked till fluffy and soft and seasoned perfectly. Salad helped reduce the stodginess as well and adding some crunch to the dish and a lovely juicy plantain for some sweetness. All accompanied with fluffy rice and a runny fried egg. Bandeja Paisa A gigantic platter of food consisting of fried pork belly, two grilled beef, grilled chorizo, a fried egg, fried bread, stewed pinto beans, plantain, a slice of avocado and salad. It was delicious and every part of it. The pork belly was delicious. Being fried you have a lovely contrast of the crispy outside and the soft tender inside with good fatty boys melting in your mouth. Beef were beautifully marinated, smoky and although required a bit of teeth work they were very enjoyable to bite through its rich flavours. Chorizo were lovely with its sweet spices and meaty texture. Everything else was great too, either all fresh or cooked perfectly. For £12 it was a bargain especially when it fed the both of us and we even had some leftover to takeaway. I think I found a hidden gem as I have been trying to find more information on them on the internet but there is minimal information about them. Yet the place was packed the whole time we we were there and staff were ever so accommodating. It's not a place for a first date though as the market it is in (Holloway Nags Head) can be a a bit rough sometimes and the restaurant itself is quite run down with poor paint job. However for a bit of change to the usual and for authentic Colombian food and cheap budget eats, I highly recommend this place and I will be back soon.
