Run down, no maintenance being done. Rude front office staff. Will not be coming back.

It is a brand new RV park and they are still expanding some of the areas, but once they are done it will be top notch! The full hookups were really a treat. Lots of lighting and the park was very well managed. Right off the freeway, and very easy to maneuver around the place You can't beat the price! The lady who checked us in was nice and friendly! It is apparent the owners take pride in this resort, and I would definitely return again on our next drive through the area.

The camp layout is interesting; it's set up as a lot of back-ins, which is all you'll see if you try to book online. I ended up calling instead since we were pretty close and since they weren't full, Thelma set us up as a pull-through spanning 2 sites. The only drawback and reason for 4 stars is the entire park gently slopes. You enter driving down hill and the hill just kind of keeps going through to the back of the park. We had a really hard time getting our travel trailer level in the gravel and eventually gave up and just settled with being a bit off kilter for the night. As far as the facilities, on the plus side they are definitely new and pretty clean. As an update to some of the previous reviews: the fitness center is set up and the game room is now open, with a pool table and TV. They may get shuffleboard soon. The club house is large with a full kitchen available to all guests. There is a laundry room with 3 sets of machines. One set was out of order but we used the other two and they worked great; decent size and everything dried without needing extra time. Note that the laundry is coin operated, quarters only, but there is no machine to convert bills to change; I was able to buy $5 worth of quarters from Thelma though. The showers are decent, but lacking shelving or benches or anywhere convenient to place your towel, clothes, etc. There's only one hook attached to the back of the door by an adhesive strip, which I didn't trust to hold my fold-out toiletry bag, and was too far away from the shower to put my towel, so I got creative with using the toilet seat and the accessibility handle bars. Overall, it's a new, clean, welcoming park, but there are definitely opportunities for improvement.

The cabin we stayed in was so nice, clean, and had so many features. This seriously was one of the best sites we've stayed at, the fun little decorations were an amazing touch. I booked online, received an email confirmation and then an email on the day of the reservation with instructions to check in. I followed the instructions, but it still told me to go to the office. When I arrived, there was no one in sight. After several minutes, someone did show up and gave us a map and vague directions-saying that the site numbers were backwards, and circled our spot on the map. We found it, but the sites were not backwards, they were numbered totally different than the map (the map showed T1, T2, T3, etc. and the tent sites were labeled A, B, C, etc.) The sites were all overgrown with weeds and there was one picnic table to share between them all. We walked the property a bit and found that everything is in disrepair, run down and in need of maintenance. I expect natural vegetation, of course, but the weeds with prickly stickers were everywhere, and impossible to avoid. The bathrooms are a pretty long haul from the tent sites, requiring campers to walk a good distance. Only one of the four stalls in the women's restroom lock and there were no paper towels in the container. I didn't attempt to use the shower after seeing how dirty they were. We stopped by the store around 5:30 to buy firewood and it was closed. That seems pretty early to close up on a weekend. We paid about $30 for a night but even that might have been too much. Hopefully the new management makes some much needed changes.

This is a beautiful, tiny campground nestled in the pine trees. There are 8 campsites, including…read moreone group site, and sites 4-6 were the prettiest and most private, in my opinion. There are 2 bathrooms, both of which were very clean, but one was out of toilet paper. I have read this in several reviews, so make sure to bring your own just in case. The campground is off a gravel road about 5 miles up the canyon. The road is used mainly for ATVs and there are many blind corners, so be careful when driving so you don't hurt anyone! I wouldn't recommend driving up the road at night or with a giant trailer, and I was a bit worried about my vintage trailer rattling apart on the drive during the day. But it was fine, luckily. There was a small lake/pond nearby that seems to be popular for fishing and canoeing. It also probably breeds mosquitos, as my legs have never been so eaten up and swollen from bites before! I even had 2 pairs of pants on and bug spray soaking my skin and pants. I got bitten between the fingers a few times too, which was a first for me. When I visited in July, the weather was only maybe 5 degrees cooler at the campground than in the valley, so bring a fan if you like cool air while you sleep. Site 5 is beautiful, although there was sometimes a whiff of bathroom stink as it is immediately across from it. It didn't bother me, though. Small drawbacks aside, this was a beautiful campground, there was only 1 other site in use while we were there, and we ooohed and ahhhed over the Milky Way at night. Doesn't get much better than that!
