Avoid Gardner White if you value customer service and accountability…read more After waiting seven months for a custom sofa costing nearly $8,000, all four pieces arrived damaged. The damage was documented by the delivery team at the time of delivery, and we immediately rejected the furniture. Rather than issuing a full refund, Gardner White attempted to charge us a 25% restocking fee on furniture that arrived damaged. What was even more disappointing was the treatment we received from store management. Trey, the Novi store manager, was dismissive, unprofessional, and unwilling to take responsibility for a product that arrived defective. Instead of resolving the issue, we were pressured to accept repairs on brand-new furniture that had just been delivered. Fortunately, our credit card company reviewed the matter and refunded our payments after we disputed the charges. However, we remain represented by counsel and prepared to continue pursuing this matter should Gardner White challenge the outcome. No customer should have to fight this hard to avoid paying thousands of dollars for damaged merchandise. Based on our experience, I strongly recommend that consumers think carefully before doing business with Gardner White.
