Flower tea - Royal chrysanthemum. Flower tea had very delicate flavor. I could taste light floral flavor and it was easy to drink. Presentation was beautiful. Highlight was tea flight. Tea was black tea, and each method made the same tea different flavor. Regular brewed tea was crisp and nice. Tea latte was creamy and bold. And nitro was amazingly sweet, smooth and delicious. Service was friendly and helpful. Staff explained a lot of detail of tea origin and how to brew tea. Overall, it was another great experience. I would like to visit here again.

Overall, I found the Nitro to just taste more watered down and the novelty wasn't really worth getting the experience over a traditional Kung fu tea. Where this place shines though really is the service. The cashier brewed up two extra samples and I found the Yaan Snow Jasmine to be the best of the teas I had that day; almost crisp mouthfeel and super fragrant. The servers are SO knowledgeable and very accommodating. There are SO many teas to choose from. They also have tastings for different matcha varieties. We used to shop for tea at this store when they were in Aberdeen Center many years ago. This time when we visited, we found it at a different address. Disclaimer: This review is extremely narrow on only the Hong Kong style milk tea. The Ceylon tea from this store is finely ground. If you know how to home-brew the milk tea Hong Kong Cafe style, you'll get a very strong cup that tastes just like one from a good cafe and will keep you awake for the whole day. I heard that the authentic brewing method for large batch served in Hong Kong style cafe was to run the brew thru the finely ground tea leaves in a cloth filter a few times without dipping the ground tea in water. That is easily said than done especially when you don't have commercial equipment. Just improvise and experiment if you know what taste you are shooting for. Note: I saw 2 kinds of packaging that carry the store sticker that says Hong Kong style milk tea. Checked the fine prints, one originated from Ceylon and the other from Taiwan. I have never tried the Taiwanese kind. It may taste different. The sales clerk insisted they were the same. I guess she would think Starbucks and Peet's are the same coffee too. They also do mail orders by phone. Just make sure you want the kind from Ceylon.

They offered sweetened (with honey) or unsweetened. The tea latte was mildly sweet and silky that you want an encore. This is a nice place for a cup of tea and in fact they also offer coffee also. They don't sell foods but customers are welcomed to bring their own bread or cake. I will come back again to try their other gourmet tea.

You came in here with your girlfriend and bought the tea set and some tea cups.!" Yes yes.yes. So now that fancy tea set sits on her fancy counter in the kitchen. * "German" tea in Richmond? *…read more This little shop was a very pleasant surprise. From the outside it doesn't look like much, tucked into a small spot in a Chinese strip mall. But when I went inside I was greeted by a very pleasant person that immediately brought me a small tasting cup of cranberry tea imported from Germany. Yes, Germany. All of the teas in this shop come from a wholesaler in Germany. Go figure. They specialize in herbal and fruit blends and have an incredible variety. I'm not normally a fan of herbal or fruit teas, and cranberry tea would normally not be something I like. But this was delicious. It wasn't overpowering at all, yet had distinct cranberry overtones. Perhaps it also helps that they serve the samples in real tea cups that highlight the flavour instead of some sort of disposable cup that ruins the flavour. They have a nice presentation of all of their teas, with small glass samplers for smelling in front of each larger tin. The fruit teas are their largest selection, with some very interesting blends you don't normally see. But they also have a selection of Honeybush teas, Rooibos, Green Rooibos, various Estate Teas, flavoured black teas, flavoured green teas, white teas, and even a small selection of Japanese and Taiwanese teas. They apparently even stock some of the Taiwanese spring high mountain teas when they are in season. A very impressive selection. I counted close to 100 teas available. I found an earl gray that was made with green tea instead of black. It had a very pleasant aroma, and it was an interesting twist for me. When I asked for 100 grams, the kind server said that it was on sale and gave a 25% discount. Go figure! It came very nicely packed in an airtight package, which was placed inside of a larger box with two metal re-sealers. They also provide brewing instructions customized for each of their teas so you can get the best flavour. This is a really nice place. I'm still a little confused about why ALL the teas come through Germany - including the teas from Asia. But as long as the product quality is good I suppose they have a reason?!?!?!
